This was my first experience with Rover. I was so worried because my regular pet sitter couldn't watch my cat for over a week. Eleanor was the perfect sitter for my Gigi. Gigi is an outdoor cat and not very needy but she does need human contact every day. Eleanor came by twice a day and fed Gigi and checked her water and gave her some love and treats... she sent pictures every visit. It gave me so much piece of mind. Eleanor loves animals and it shows. Ill be booking her again soon!

About: I have taken care of dogs for the last 8 years! I love to take them on walks and my favorite thing is to teach them new tricks! I am working full time Monday through Friday but I get off at 3:30 everyday so I have more than enough time to take you pet of a late afternoon walk! I am unable to watch pets in my home as I live in an apartment and my dog is a rescue who has some trouble getting along with other pets than my own

About: My experience with pet care started with taking care of my own dogs since I was 11. When I was 15 I was able to start taking care of family and friends pets while they were on vacation. Since then, i’ve worked as a kennel tech at a veterinary clinic, a dog bather at a grooming facility, and I’ve worked with a pet sitting company as a sitter/dog walker. I’m available any day of the week, I can do late night let outs, early morning walks, mid-day play dates, anything you need I can get it done. I can provide overnight boarding (must schedule at least 3 days in advance for more than 1 night). If you’re just needing me to come feed and let out I can do a small home task if needed, turn lights on/off, water plants, bring in mail, take out trash, light dusting etc. I can provide my services between the hours of 7am and 9pm (special request are always welcome). Please schedule at least 1 day prior to needing my services. If you’re in need of boarding more than 1 night please schedule at least 3 days prior. I have a dog park area in my neighborhood where a bunch of other pups play, it is an off leash park so please make sure to let me know if your pet is friendly with others or not. I have one cat, Luna, Luna is 1 year old and she’s super friendly! I do not have a crate so please provide your own if needed.

About: I’ve had six years of kennel experience at places like doggy day cares and currently am employed at a vet clinic! At my jobs, I have been responsible for special cases such as dogs with health conditions and giving medications. I also have experience with home visits/overnight stays with clients as well! I currently am employed full time at a vet clinic working as a lead kennel assistant, this means I am responsible for the cats and dogs that are staying the night at our facility! The beginning of my day would be dedicated to your pet then I’m off to work at 7:00 am. I would return for mid-day care at 10:00-11:00 am. Once I’m off work I’d be back for the end of day around 5:30-6:00 pm! With my experience at not only at doggy day cares but vet clinics I know just how important it is to be attentive towards our pets! Especially pets with medical issues or issues that are common in certain breeds! With my training I can provide a safe and trusting environment that will let owners feel at ease when they are not home!

About: I am a cat person through and through. I have 4 cats of my own - 2 British shorthairs and 2 rescues. I make sure to give them as much stimulation and play as possible and I’ll treat your cats as if they were my own. I know how hard it can be to find sitters who prioritize cats, and too often kitty care is an afterthought. But not for me! I’ll give your babies the attention and playtime they deserve. Though I am most passionate about cats, I will make sure all the animals in your home are fully taken care of and happy while you’re away. I have experience administering medication, caring for kittens and senior cats, as well as dogs, fish, reptiles, and birds. I work as a freelance media buyer and have full control of my remote schedule. My husband and I used to travel a lot for work, and I really struggled to find quality care for my own 4 cats when we went away. As someone who has dealt firsthand with some not-so-great cat sitters, I really know what it takes to give pet owners peace of mind while away from home. My schedule is completely moldable to your needs. If caring for pets in your home is not an option, I have a spare bedroom with a window and a cat tree, window perch and toys that I have reserved for fostering cats. While I prefer to care for animals in your own home, I will happily take them in if it would be beneficial for your situation.

I love all animals and will treat yours like they are my own. I do not have a full time job other than being a wife and mom to two teens. I can assist you with your pet when you can’t! Whether is a quick walk or check in on your animal, I can take care of it. I can check on your house, collect your mail etc. while you are an away. I will take care of your home and pets as if they were my own. Whatever you need to be taken care of to make your absence easier on you and your pet.

About: I’ve loved caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have been helping with pets since middle school. Growing up, I also gained hands-on experience working as a stable hand, which taught me the importance of responsibility, patience, and paying close attention to each animal’s needs. While living in the Birmingham area for college, I provided dependable pet care and house-sitting for families, including caring for both dogs and cats during longer stays. Now that I’m back home on the Eastern Shore, I’m excited to continue offering pet care locally and would love the opportunity to care for your pets, too! I have a calm, gentle presence and do my best to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and thoughtful about following each pet’s normal routine, preferences, and care instructions. I currently work a remote part-time job, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays, including extended house-sitting. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to give your pets consistent attention and make their care a priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I want both the pets and their owners to feel completely comfortable. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, favorite activities, and any special needs so I can keep things as familiar and low-stress as possible. I also treat each home with respect by keeping things clean and tidy, following instructions carefully, and making sure everything is safely locked up before I leave. About: With over 20 years as a devoted dog mom, my heart and home are open to your fur baby. I have a profound love for dogs and prefer them to people. lol- JK…ish🐾🤭 jokes aside, every dog deserves a place where they can be cared for, loved, and comfortable when their people have to be away. Offering that is a great responsibility I take pleasure in embracing. Raising my current Weimaraner’s, June and Pluto, from puppyhood, I’ve honed my skills in consistent, patient, and loving puppy training. I’m equally experienced with senior dogs, including those with mobility challenges or blindness, ensuring they feel safe and cherished. From the eye boogers to more serious issues, I’m always prioritizing your dog’s unique needs with honesty and integrity. My home features a large, fenced backyard and a cozy screened-in patio for relaxing together. With me working from home, your pup will enjoy constant companionship alongside June and Pluto, who love welcoming new pack members.🐾🤎 Working from home, I provide round-the-clock companionship for your dog. My flexible job lets me step away to play outside, cuddle indoors, or give pets and love throughout the day. Whether in our dog🐾approved large backyard, my couches, or even my bed, I’m always by your pup’s side, ensuring they’re never alone. June and Pluto, my 2 Weims are naturally gentle, playful, and welcoming to dogs of all sizes, from tiny paws to big goofballs. Dogs are masters at reading energy, and I promise your pup will feel safe, loved, and a genuine pack inclusion.🐾 Our backyard is great! It is a secure paradise for zoomies, fetch, and adventures—safe, private, and fun. When it’s time to wind down, our screened-in patio is the spot to relax together, soak up the breeze, and just chill…. or get the squeaky out of every toy 😆 We do have pool, but rest assured: I’m always vigilant and take precautions or jump in fully clothed without hesitation- seriously, no worries. To make your pup feel extra comfortable, please bring their favorite daily essentials (bedding, blankets, crate, toys, food, etc.). I have plenty of backups on hand if needed, but nothing beats their own familiar smells! 🐾 Every stay is tailored with all my heart to your dog’s unique personality and routine. Your pup will have constant companionship, warm welcomes from June and Pluto, and never a dull (or lonely) moment. *and they will comeback to you bathed if needed* Contact me for a safe, fun, loving stay—

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Daphne stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Daphne. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
