“Great experience! Amanda was very accommodating and took great care of Rosa. It was a treat to receive some pictures and video while we were away. Her price was the most reasonable on the Rover market!! 5 stars😊”

“My dog Luna seemed to thoroughly enjoy her stay with Violette and her family! Violette sent me lots of pictures and videos, which I really appreciated. She was super kind throughout all of our communications, and very understanding when I had traveling delays. Luna was kept clean, fed, and well cared for. I would absolutely book Violette again, and would recommend anyone else to. She genuinely seems like a warm-hearted, good-spirited person!”

“Marilyn and her family were so sweet. I felt completely comfortable leaving my service dog and exhuberant husky with them. My dogs loved playing in the huge yard with other dogs. Marilyn is very relaxed, but also detail-oriented, asking all of the right questions and also scheduling a pre-stay visit with us. I will definitely ask her to watch my babies in the future.”

“This was my first time using Rover and having my pet stay with Jeremy & his wife, and we will most certainly be return customers! I received daily updates and photos of my dog who always appeared happy and loved! When it was time for pickup, my belongs were tidy and ready to go, with our dog bed having been freshly washed! What a great experience and what a great couple who obviously love dogs and have really figured out how to be gracious, clean, and loving dog watchers!”

“Stacey did an awesome job watching our pup! I know our dog was at ease & comfortable with her which was super important to us. She would communicate with us throughout the day & send us many updates which we loved. Our dog can be a handful meeting other dogs and isn’t the best on the leash but Stacey did great with her! She gave her lots of loves and cuddles too which was so appreciated while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again in the future!!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and I’ve cared for dogs for friends and family for years. I’ve looked after all kinds of dogs, from big Rottweilers to tiny senior dogs near the end of life who needed to be carried down the stairs to potty. That range has taught me to be patient, to read each dog’s needs, and to adjust my care to fit their age, energy, and health. I sit small to medium dogs in my own home, and someone is almost always here, so your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. We have a large, fully fenced backyard for safe potty breaks and playtime. My two pugs, Maggie and Bob, live here too and will be happy to keep your dog company if they’re comfortable with other dogs. I’m glad to follow your dog’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special care needs, and I’ll send updates and photos so you can relax while you’re away. I work from home two days a week, and my wife and kids are home every day since our boys are homeschooled. That means there’s almost always someone here with your dog, so they get regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of company throughout the day. I’m flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, so just let me know what works for you. Every dog has their own personality and comfort level, especially around other dogs and young boys. I take time to learn what makes your dog comfortable and go at their pace with introductions. I treat every dog like my own, with all the love and attention they deserve, so you can relax while you’re away knowing they’re in good hands.
“Great service and very responsive on items. Melissa took the time to make my dog comfortable and reached out for a meet and greet to ensure it was a good fit for both parties. Would definitely recommend for any at all people looking for boarding., doggy daycare or drop in visits”

“Dominique took great care of our dog while we were out of town. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up and I really appreciated getting daily updates, pictures and/or videos.”

“This was our first time using Melissa, and we couldn't be happier. Her rescue dog background, fenced yard, and allowing dogs on furniture made for a seamless, home-like experience for our dog Taylor. The frequent photos and videos were a huge bonus and truly appreciated, especially by our 7 yr old daughter 😊 It was clear Taylor was having fun with her dogs and happy the whole time. We'll definitely be back!”

“We feel so lucky to have found such a great home to leave our Benny for the weekend. We appreciate the pictures, laid back demeanor, and flexibility. Our boy came home very happy. 10/10.”

“I was nervous to leave my dog for the first time ever, but it was like she was in a little dog daycare! I got daily updates and photos and could ask questions whenever. We had a wonderful experience.”

About: I work from home, which gives me plenty of time to hang out with your fur baby. I can do obedience training if requested, and all the treats I have are homemade with good ingredients and love:) I have a golden retriever myself. I take her out for potty at 6 in the morning, followed by food time and a longer walk around the neighborhood. While I work at home, I take my dog out to play every 1-2 hours. Five in the afternoon is our dog’s second meal. Then depending on the weather, I take my dog out for a long walk in the evening. I treat my clients’ pets as mine! I never leave pets unsupervised in the back yard, and since I work from home, I always keep an eye on the dog during the day. Treats are homemade with good ingredients and love, but make sure you let me know any allergies your fur babies have.
“Kim was incredible! She was easy to communicate with, she sent me lots of photos of our pup while we were away, and she had the most welcoming and spacious home for our dog, Winnie! We will definitely be using Kim again!”

About: My name is AnnaMarie, and I love dogs. I work from home Thursday thru Sunday and would love to spend some time with your pups. This is my way of NOT getting another dog even though I want to lol. I used to pet sit for my neighbors whenever they would go on vacation, and I have two dogs myself (one a 4-month old puppy!) and am very protective. I'm always very respectful in other's homes and would provide the best time for your pups. I am available for helping with dogs as I work from home and have a flexible schedule! I am accustomed to early morning, midday and evening walks and am very familiar with providing medication as one of our dogs was a senior with a variety of health issues. I now also have a 4-month old puppy so I understand all the puppy antics too! At my own house, I have a big fenced in backyard and a very walkable neighborhood for walk breaks. I also am able to crate your dog or my dogs depending on your dogs personality and what suits them best. In client homes, I am extremely respectful of your space and happy to to do walks, medications, clean up if needed, etc.
“Erin and her family took wonderful care of our dog Truvy! Erin was great about sending updates, and she kindly let us extend our pet’s stay by a night when our trip was extended. Would definitely use her again!”

“Angela was amazing 🤩 She kept us updated on our fur babies stay. We couldn’t wait to see the daily pictures and videos. My babies looked so happy 😁 Thank you Angela for caring for Obi-Wan and BigFoot. 🫶🏽”

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
