Treat your canine friend to a retreat in the country and feel comfortable leaving them in the hands of a professional and certified trainer. With over forty years of experience with animals and as a reputable Trainer for an Assistance Dog organization, i have a strong background with animals and can provide a safe and fun environment. My home is a canine paradise! It's quiet and serene with plenty of shade, a fully fenced yard, and a private dirt road that meanders through the countryside right out our back door, - perfect for walks for the dogs. There ia a resident Labrador retrievers named "Heart" and a Bernese Mountaing Dog named "Stormy" They are great ambassadors and love to host furry friends. I can also offer training, baths/grooming just ask if you think you would like this. We look forward to your dogs vacay with us. Why I love dog sitting I know when I leave for vacation, knowing my animals are in good hands allows for me to relax and enjoy my time away worry free. Animal owners are some of the best people I have known and I love meeting new friends, human and furry alike. I work part time from home, so it makes for the ideal environment to incorporate dog sitting into the day. I care for the dogs as if they were my own and I hope that you will allow us the honor to care for you animals(s). I am currently working from home. I leave the house on occasion but can either take your dog with me for a car ride if they like that, leave your dog home or if you would prefer, crate it for a short time. I am never gone long when dogs are n my care. I treat all dogs as if they are my own and follow the instructions of the owners on what to do to make them comfortable while in my home.

About: I've always had a dog. I had dogs growing up, I adopted a dog when I moved out on my own, and I adopted another dog when my children were old enough. Dogs are an important and special part of the family. I enjoy giving them attention, taking them for walks, brushing them, and of course, cuddling with them. I am observant of their communication styles, and use my observation skills to make sure I attend to their needs and keep them happy. I lost my special girl recently, and this is the first time in a while I am without my own dog. I would love to help you care for your dog while I decide whether to adopt again. I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I am available to go for walks and give potty breaks almost anytime day and evening. I live in a townhouse that does not have a fenced yard. However, I used to take my dog for several walks per day for both exercise and potty breaks. Dogs are welcome in any part of the house, or can be restricted to downstairs, depending on their needs. I am happy to visit your pet in your home to offer a potty break, take for a walk, or just give some attention.

I work part time as a personal trainer in the day and dance teacher at night so I create my own schedule! I always keep my mornings free for walks, playtime, and any special needs for the dogs! Afternoon walks are also something I prioritize, it’s not only important for your pup to get that exercise but I like to decompress and enjoy nature as much as I can during the day. One of my favorite things to do is to go on refreshing walks and spend quality time at the park with my dog Jinx, and I'm sure your pup loves that too! If they are on the more relaxed side, I'm happy to spend indoors play time and/or simply cuddle. I have a 7 year old pup named Jinx who is friendly and loves a walk but if we go to the dog park he ideally loves just doing his own thing, he's more of an introvert 😂 Rest assured, your dog's safety is paramount to me. I have a spacious yard, which provides the perfect play area, it is not fenced so I use a secure 30ft leash when any dogs play outside, so your pup can enjoy freedom while being safely supervised. I also have a partner who lives with me and he has a heart that melts for dogs, so your fur baby is in safe hands. So, if you need a responsible and loving dog sitter, I'm here for you! “We booked Sheila last minute and she was able to accommodate care for Gabby. We booked a tour with Safari West which was less than 20 minutes from her house. When we got to her home, she greeted us and Gabby appeared to like Sheila right away, so much so that we called her “Aunty Sheila”. It made me feel at ease knowing that Gabby would be cared for by a stranger who felt like family. While we were away, Sheila sent us a photo of Gabby playing with a chew toy. Sheila’s home had everything Gabby needed (crate, toys, and a big fence yard. We would definitely use her again!”

About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs on and off since I was a teenager. In the last 9 or so years my love for being the “dog aunty” of my social circle has grown into a career and I have professionally cared for pets of all shapes and sizes, and with a wide range of needs and personalities. This includes caring for pets at my home and at the fur babies’ homes, day visits, grooming visits, training visits, and even overnight 24 hour sitting for up to a month at a time, with specific pets. I have also worked with several puppies and senior dogs and have had success in both introducing and reinforcing obedience training. In addition, I have experience caring for senior pets with special medical needs, and the necessary attention and clean up required for those pets. I have worked with and helped a handful of reactive dogs improve on their stranger danger responses when out on walks. I don’t shy away from a challenge and would love to help if I can while letting your baby get some fresh air. I am confident and comfortable using a crate, both indoors and if needed for transport in case of an emergency.
