When we got to her home, she greeted us and Gabby appeared to like Sheila right away, so much so that we called her “Aunty Sheila”. It made me feel at ease knowing that Gabby would be cared for by a stranger who felt like family. While we were away, Sheila sent us a photo of Gabby playing with a chew toy. About: I grew up in a neighborhood my friends used to call “the farm”. We had 3 dogs, one neighbor had chickens, one neighbor had horses, and another neighbor had goats. Along with various dogs and cats at each house. Because I was the oldest kid in the neighborhood, I was the go-to person anytime a neighbor needed a house sitter or even just needed me to feed their pet dinner since they were out late. When I got older and started driving, I began dog sitting for our large group of friends, taking care of all sizes of dogs, cats, and the occasional reptile. About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs for 30 years. I have two Pittbull mixes , one boxer Pitt and one Pitt bulldog. The Pitt Bull Dog has intervertebral disk disease and used my training in occupational therapy and massage and did physical therapy with him myself so he could use his back legs again, after being paralyzed and needing a wheelchair. He’s now able to walk without his wheelchair. I’ve also taken pittbull training classes with them and am knowledgeable about training cues. I currently work as a distribution sales executive, and work from home, so have free time in the afternoons and weekends. I have a baby and two dogs of my own and would still be able to take some time to visit other dogs in my area. I can check on pets during the day or while clients are on vacation .
