About: I’ve a had and loved pets my whole life, and have cared for dogs ranging from a docile miniature schnauzer to the most rambunctious, sweet and loving Weimaraner. I’d love to make your dog feel right at home in my home while you’re away, or check in on them in yours! I currently work from home running a small business and have a flexible schedule. The Weimaraner, Maci, in my profile is with me part time, typically more in the summer months. I have a large back yard for pups to run in, basic puppy training skills, and lots of experience taking walks with easily distracted pups. About: I worked full time for a shelter and loved working with every animal there. Meeting them at their level so that their needs were completely fulfilled was my passion. Whether they were high or low energy, dim or bright, friendly or not, I thrived on figuring out what would make the the most adoptable and what would make them most comfortable in the harsh shelter environment. It was a difficult and demanding job at times especially when I needed to provide first aid or medication/therapy for ailing animals but I always enjoyed coming home knowing I did something that meant something to those parent-less pets. I also had the lovely opportunity to work the social media for the shelter and take photos and videos of each animal to best display their personalities to the wider public who wouldn't normally see them otherwise. I currently work part time with very flexible hours so I am frequently available to provide service to both my own pets and others. I find it very fulfilling to be able to make time for my own furry friends! Working in a shelter environment I often met many animals at their lowest when they were beyond scared and upset. I got exposure to many dogs and cats that were horribly unadapted to life around people and had personalities on either end of the spectrum.
