About: Hi! My first gift as a baby was a white german shepherd named Pepper that I grew up with and I've been a dog owner ever since. Friends even brought me a stray found on campus at GWU, Wiggles. He was our house mascot. And I've owned and cared for dogs ever since. I started rescuing dogs in 2010 in Oakland. I found forever homes for 13 dogs. Your dog will be safe, made comfortable and well cared for by me. I'm happy to care for senior dogs or puppies and anyone in between. I am attentive. Responsive to them and focused to obey your instructions concerning your fur baby. I want them to be happy while you're away and I want you to be comfortable while they're in my care. Most of all, if anything happens, I know how to respond quickly. My 12yo Weimaraner Gideon passed away during the pandemic. I've been fostering. This just seems like another way for me to play with and care for a new dog until I get another one. I look forward to meeting you and your pet. I'm a professional writer and program developer so my schedule is flexible which makes caring for your dog and its needs really easy. I am able to maintain whatever schedule you've established at home. Your pet will have full run of the house and will be encouraged to make themselves at home. She was observant of their behavior and provided us with thorough updates afterward, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was clear that she was not just “getting the walk done,” but was fully tuned in to the little things that matter in caring for dogs. Finally, Melissa showed a genuinely caring attitude throughout her visit. She treated Camden and Piper as if they were her own pets, which truly made a difference. Both dogs returned home happy, content, and ready for a long nap, indicating that they felt comfortable and well-exercised. We couldn’t have asked for a better first impression, and we’re excited to have found another reliable and trustworthy caregiver to look after them.
Just wanted to do a new update on my review with Delaney. She has been walking my dogs for almost 3 years now. She is still wonderful with them, very dependable, and very trusted. I have been lucky to have her since I moved to Virginia from Florida and my dogs love her so much too!! It’s definitely hard to find someone to trust with my dogs and having access to my home even when I’m not around but she is definitely the best and most trustworthy person I have had!
Michele is fantastic! She took such great care of our Leo boy! She was great about sending updates, pictures and videos. Her communication was amazing. You can tell she truly loves what she does and cares for the animals. I highly recommend Michele and will be reaching out again when we need care.
