About: Hello Pet Parents! I'm available for pet sitting, dog walking, and house/plant sitting on a one-time or recurring basis; I am available for boarding only if your pets are dog-friendly & potty trained. Certified by the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid for cats + dogs, fully insured by PCI, and experienced with my own 3-legged 11yo rescue dog's medical needs, I am prepared for any emergency situation life may throw our way. I always travel with a first aid kit for pets (and humans too). I have no problem carefully administering food and medicine (including insulin injections) alongside other care for senior and special needs animals. I am local to Cross River (where I was raised) and can travel up to 12 miles from 10518. I can do overnight stays but cannot be present in the home 24/7, as I have my own dog to feed and walk as well. I only host pets in my own home if they are dog-friendly and potty trained. I will always make sure to leave the home leashed (unless going into fenced in area) and ensure your pet gets back home safely & happily.

About: I grew up in a dog-centric household, however I have taken care of my own dogs for the past 19 years. For the last 8 years, I've had the opportunity to foster dogs through different organizations, as well. It has been an extremely rewarding and educational experience with regards to learning about a multitude of different dogs and how best to deal with different dog personalities and what their mannerisms indicate. The foster dogs that I cared for ranged from puppies to senior dogs and included numerous different breeds. I've had dogs that were incredibly easy, as well as ones that were particularly difficult and high maintenance. These experiences have made me open to taking care of all types of dogs; I'm happy to help administer medicine, eye drops, insulin injections, etc. I've experienced it all! My schedule is flexible because I'm currently based from my home. This basically means that I'm available to provide care in whatever capacity needed beginning from late morning until the evening and any day that's necessary. I have two dogs of my own and my day heavily incorporates them into it. I made a concerted effort to do the same thing whenever I took care of foster dogs. Whenever a dog is my responsibility I make a point of giving them the care and attention that they require. I'm available to walk any pup beginning from late morning into the evening, including multiple times a day. I currently live in a house with 3 acres and a huge back yard with forest surrounding it, so it is not fenced. However, I'm more than happy to walk your dog if there's a fear that they will run into the forest. If there is a situation where your pup gets along with mine then it would be fine for them to hang out with us during the day if that's preferred for some company. Otherwise, we are able to separate my dogs and keep them upstairs while I care for your pup downstairs. I'm also open to dog-sitting for anyone going on vacation! Our house is set up to accommodate dogs visiting and staying due to my previous fostering, which is how I came to have my two current dogs. Also, I'm a firm believer in positive reinforcement to teach dogs acceptable behavior and manners, so no punishments that may traumatize or hurt the pup!

About: since i was little, i have held a special place in my heart for every animal. i have had my own for 6 years, and have been sitting for around 2. i love playing with/interacting with them no matter what size, and i promise to give them the best care. if you’d like to know more please reach out! i do not look at pet care as a job, i look at it as a passion. i will work any day of the week, i love taking of animals and taking them on walks or playing in the backyard, like i do with my own. If i am in a clients home, i will firstly make sure there is no food the pet can have access to. i will make sure their water bowl is full, and their food if they are not on a schedule. if they have a gated backyard, i always make sure it is properly closed. for the pets themselves, i believe boundaries are very important. i will let them smell me and take their time adjusting to me, and then i will start getting closer and petting them and playing with them.
