“My cat Charlee was content and happy when I arrived home after a 5 day vacation. Anna's daily visits made all the difference in keeping my cat feeling safe, secure & loved.”

“I’m so happy I've found Grace to watch my energetic Husky. She went above and beyond to make sure my fur baby was well taken care of and did absolutely everything I had asked. Grace was very communicative throughout the whole process and always made sure to update me when needed. I couldn't be happier to have her watch my dog. She has undoubtedly become my first choice, and I won't consider anyone else. If you're looking for someone to watch your pets, make sure to book with Grace, I promise you won't be disappointed!”

About: Hi, I’m Molly! I’ve had a lifelong love for dogs and spent many years caring for two of my own who I was lucky enough to love all the way into their old age. That experience taught me how special the bond with a dog is and how important it is to know they’re in good hands when you’re away. I’ve also become the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, who trust me to care for their dogs when they’re traveling or busy. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and always aim to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Since I work from home much of the time, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship so your dog isn’t left alone for long periods. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or spending time keeping your dog company, I focus on providing calm, attentive care. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine so they feel relaxed while you’re away. You can also expect regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pup is doing. I’m happy to help with dog walking, drop-in visits, puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with specific routines or care instructions. I’d love to meet you and your dog! I work from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I’m able to take dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship so they aren’t left alone for long periods. I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. All focus can go to your dog(s) since I will only host one family's pet at a time. Fully fenced yard. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so I can care for them exactly how you prefer. I keep a close eye on dogs during walks and outdoor time and always use leashes unless in a secure fenced area. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any specific care requests. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe and happy. I always recommend a meet-and-greet first so both you and your dog feel completely comfortable.
About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs. My experience ranges from helping care for newborn puppies and litters all the way through providing patient, attentive care for senior dogs. I’m comfortable with medication administration, feeding routines, walks and exercise, basic grooming, puppy care, senior care, and keeping a close eye on changes in behavior or health. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, needs a little extra patience, or has a more involved care routine, I’m confident providing dependable and compassionate care. I treat every pet like they’re one of my own and want owners to feel completely comfortable knowing their pet is in good hands. I’m currently in the process of going from bartender to EMT, so my schedule is a little up in the air right now, but if I can accommodate your request I absolutely will with full transparency! Unfortunately I will not be able to care for animals in my residence due to a very territorial but adorable dog that I acquired! She means well but prefers her house she doesn’t pay for to herself!
“Rachel was timely and friendly and took great care to make sure our dog was fed and had water and got to spend some time outside. We appreciated her willingness to be flexible with us when our plans changed a bit. We would definitely ask her to take of our dog again in the future.”

“Susan was amazing!! She checked in on our babies while we were on our honeymoon. I recieved pictures everytime she visited. The cats loved her and seemed super happy when we came back home. I would hire her again! 10/10!!”

“Leslie is great! She checks in on my cat when I am out of town. Making sure she gets her meds, food, and a clean litter box. I definitely recommend her to look after your pets!”

About: I’ve been petsitting/housesitting for just over 6 years. I’ve worked with rescue dogs with have trauma, dogs with epilepsy, dogs with anxiety, dogs that need high energy output, as well as senior dogs. I’ve administered medications in a timely manner and have coordinated care with many owners. I will diligently work for you and your pups! I’m a home nail tech, so my schedule is very flexible. When I’m petsitting, I’m able to build my days around care if need be. I’m quick to learn the routine of the pets, and I do my best to fit within it so the pets can have the most comfort.
“Jazmyne was fantastic! I booked her to check in on my four cats for a couple days and am happy I did. She was kind, communicative, willing to take on the challenge of feeding my monsters wet food (they are spoiled and will only eat their food if I prepare it a certain way), spent time playing with them, and left my home nice and tidy. Additionally, she was able to make my grumpy Siamese comfortable enough to run on his cat wheel! I will 100% be booking with her from now on.”

“Karinne watched one of our 10 months old puppies (husky/lab mix) for us named Marlow, for 3 days. We requested visits 3x a day (feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks). She took care of him during some pretty hot summer days and made sure he ate ice cubes, doggy ice cream, and was entertained inside during the hottest parts of the day. She even made sure to move the fan closer to his dog pen to make sure he had enough ways to cool down in between visits. Karinne sent me texts w/ pictures and videos of my pup throughout the stay (even on walks). She also paid attention to his bowel movements and tracked things just in case he had any digestion issues (we had recently changed his food). I had a family member at home during the whole time who was caring for a sick family member upstairs so she also told me that Karinne followed all of my directions and showed up during the requested times. We own 2 dogs and having Karinne watch over our boy dog at home made him comfortable and anxiety free. He can't go to doggy camp because he is not neutered at this time and has a heart murmur. Karinne made our time away from home worry free knowing our pup was in good hands. I will use her services again. Thank You!”

“Laurin was absolutely wonderful. She came by before so that we could introduce her to the dogs and meet her. She kept us updated throughout the time she was here even with photos and videos. I highly recommend booking to Laurin for any pet sitting needs”

About: Hi, I’m Carissa! I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and have years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs. I raised and cared for Carhart, my energetic Jack Russell Terrier, and Chip, my sweet Chihuahua, from adulthood through their senior years. Their different personalities taught me that every dog has unique needs, routines, and ways of communicating. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, basic grooming, administering oral medications when needed, cleaning up after pets, and providing lots of love and attention. I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and making pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. As a full-time nanny, caring for others is what I do every day. Families trust me to be dependable, attentive, and responsible, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, exploring new smells, or relaxing with cuddles, I’ll tailor my care to their personality and routine. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I’ll treat your furry family member like my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As a full time nanny my schedule is pretty busy! Mondays and every other Tuesday I work 7:30am-5pm and then on Wednesdays 11-5 & Thursdays I work 12pm-6 and Fridays 8am-4pm Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any medications or special instructions. I’ll treat your home with respect and always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I can almost read your furbabies mind! Patience and love as if they were my own is what I provide. It’s all about them and what they want to do at that particular moment. I want to make sure they eat, pee and poop. Then, I feel as though my job is complete. You have to treat them as if they are the kinds. It’s funny but true?. There should be just enough time for your fur baby to fill me in on the happenings and what’s not making them happy or maybe they’re content and just want a rub down with kind words to let them know that they are in good hands until the next visit. I love animals and they love me! I am retired but currently work part time on a farm and love nature and all animals. My schedule is flexible and I aim to please. Just let me know what works for you and your schedule. I have a fenced backyard and able to simply open the doors when my dog needs or wants to go outside. Also, he visits and plays with 2 cats that are indoor/outdoor neighbors and they are very entertaining.
About: I have 3 dogs who love to play with other dogs. I also love to play with other dogs! I love going to the dog park and getting to pet new dogs. I have a Pekinese, Pitbull, and Pitbull mix, they are very gentle with their tiny brother. I work from home and work for myself, so I make my own schedule. I can take them on walks when needed, go on potty breaks when needed, attention when needed. Ideal situation. I have a fully fenced yard and my dogs like to chase each other around. Inside same thing, we really don't have any rules, except dogs stay downstairs. We love to play with them and wrestle around, but also respect when they need their space or when they just need cuddles.

About: Hi! I am a reliable and responsible pet owner looking to care for others when needed! I am reliable, caring and ready to help with your fur babies! I have a pretty open schedule at the moment. I am available to work around whatever schedule is needed within the next few months to come. I try to keep your pets normal routine intact it often helps with separation anxiety and such. Whatever they are used to I will do.
About: I have been pet sitting for two dogs for the past 10 years. One is a 100-lb. yellow lab and the other is a 30-lb. Shiba Inu. I have watched both of them when they were sick as well. I play with them and stay for a while petting and cuddling them. I have had small to medium-sized dogs, kittens up to adult cats, fish, birds, rats, hampsters, and snakes. I currently have two bearded dragons and I frequently watch one dog and 2 guinea pigs. I live in a mother-in-law apartment connected to my daughter's home and we have a fenced back yard and miles of walking trails. Our neighborhood is very dog friendly. My daughter has one dog who loves to be around other dogs. Since I have my own apartment connected to the house, any dog I board can mingle or not depending on his/her social needs. I am a nonsmoker and am available seven days a week. I am able to board up to 2 dogs. Thank you for your consideration! As I am semi-retired, pet care fits in anywhere needed into my daily and weekly schedule. The pets in my home are part of the family so their needs are always met. Since my kids are grown, I enjoy having pets around to keep me company. I am able to care for pets in my client's home or in my home. When caring for pets in my client's home, I let dogs out twice a day or walk twice a day, check water and food, clean up where needed, give medication if needed, groom if needed, and play for awhile so they have some human interaction. I am able to watch cats in my client's home but I can watch dogs in my home as well. I can watch reptiles in my client's home or in my home if client has a travel setup. For cats, I also clean out their litterbox. At my home, dogs are let out several times a day as I have fenced back yard. For dogs who need more exercise, I walk around the neighborhood. I can run for short distances with them and play fetch and tug-of-war in the backyard. I have 2 bearded dragons. For them, I make sure they have a salad daily and insects 2 to 3 times a week. My dragons go to the bathroom in the shower so they are put in the shower at least every other day. They get UVB light for half the day and I allow them to free roam in separate rooms the other half of the day. They also have a climbing wall up to the window so they can bask in the sun and they take turns riding in the car.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
