Over the years, I’ve helped care for foster litters of puppies and kittens requiring around-the-clock feeding, monitoring, and weight tracking alongside my best friend, who is a veterinarian. About: The reason I thought about being a pet sitter is I have been doing it for free for many years and why not sit for other people. The demand for that work is shifting and I want to return to dog/house-sitting to supplement my income. I am comfortable walking, visiting and house-sitting small- and medium-size dogs, including senior dogs, and am experienced with giving medicine. I was hired for drop-in visits . I let time get away from me for two visits. One of the things that Rover does well is notify dog owners know when their sitter/carer is onsite. The owner notified me when I did not arrive within a reasonable time of the scheduled time and I immediately went to the client site. The dog was fine but the owner was obviously alarmed and terminated the relationship. I take full responsibility for those lapses and they will not happen again. About: Since I was a kid, I’ve been growing on a pet friendly environment, I remember having our first dog at home when I was four, was a Cocker Spaniel, then, as a Mexican in our household we had a couple of chihuahuas and since around five years, whenever we got the opportunity to bring dogs home and adopt them, we do it, if not, we serve as bridges to place them with a family that will loved them, as much as we would if we had a huge land to bring them. Currently I have my 9-5, I would definitely be around after work or during weekends to take care of the furriest one at home. Currently I live in an apartment and not sure if I can bring dogs here, if possible, I would love to have them around but if not, happy to be where I’m needed.
