About: My experience comes from caring for my own dogs and dog sitting big dogs for friends who don't want their pups to stay in their comfy familiar home while they are away. I've owned labs, huskies, shepherds and collies. Most recently I had two collies that have travelled with me around the world. Sadly one has passed just recently and the other has gone to live with his grandparents on a glorious ranch not too far away. So I'm with out a dog of my own but love having them around and I live very close to Central Park so I can take them out for fun walks often. I'm relatively new to NYC (two years). Moved here after finishing my PhD in Boston, hence the lag in recent dog sitting. That and COVID. I am happy to meet new dogs of all ages and breeds. I love large dogs too but my place may be too small for some but I'm happy to meet up and see what works. I work from home a lot and am very flexible to drop in or take your pup(s) for a walk. I run most days and can have pups join if that's something they like. I am very cautious about dog handling and will follow your instructions. I will only care for dogs in my home after I've taken care of them at your home and I am familiar enough with the dog so that I am sure it will be ok in a new space and that I can accommodate its needs.

About: I grew up with dogs. I had my own since I had my own place. I had a Siberian Husky and a Shiba Inu at the same time so I am no stranger to noise, stubbornness and cute shenanigans. I work full time in West Lebanon NH. I’m usually free around 4:00pm onward for week days and completely open on Weekends. Perfect you to enjoy a date night or have a weekend away! About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and have done house sitting for 4 years. I love doing this kind of stuff. I can walk them, go for walks all that fun stuff. Im doing babysitting right now but can house sit whenever and can be with the dogs/cats whenever. I am always free to take them out whenever needed. About: Lost my fur baby almost 2 years ago. I raised her from a puppy, I also had another dog as well along with cats. My other dog was a rescue so I’m well versed in dogs with anxiety and other social challenges. I do not shy away from dogs with all kinds of different behaviors and quirks. I love dogs (and cats!) and miss having a dog by my side. I would love to help care for other’s fur babies when they’re in need of outside support. I have a degree in Animal Science and am well versed in animal care. I can clip nails, give meds, care for wounds, support with behavioral challenges and socialization, grooming, etc. I have 11 acres where I live and can provide ample exercise through hikes in the woods, I am also open to taking them places like dog parks or vet appointments. I am available and able to handle multiple animals at a time. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life and have done pet, farm and house sitting since I was a kid off and on throughout the years. I have consistently watched a coworkers dog when she is away as well as other friends and family. I currently work full time and have availability nights and weekends. Evenings I’m available any time after 5pm. I’m available any time on the weekends. I have the flexibility of working remote from home and can if needed for weekday over nights (for those that can’t be left for long periods). I intend to switch to part time employment once I have more consistent clients. I have 11 acres of land to walk and hike with dogs on or off leash. I have a cat of my own and separate housing available for dogs that aren’t cat friendly. There is an old dog on property (family member’s in separate housing) that is dog & people friendly. He stays inside in seperate housing except for potty breaks. Dog is available for play for the right fit.

About: Dogs bring such joy! I believe they are gifts and we are lucky to have them in our lives. We currently have a spoiled Australian Shepherd. I have learned so much as an Aussie mom, and love sharing helpful info with other dog parents, especially if they have a herding breed. I love all dogs, no exceptions! They deserve to be spoiled and appreciated for who they are. I work full time in the upper valley and have a flexible schedule that allows me to work from home several days a week. Policies Hi, I'm Mary! 14 years ago, My pup Lee and I started the business of walking city streets, running, swimming, hiking, boarding friends, and house sitting; all in the name of dog! Since his passing, my twin four year olds and I are looking forward to making new pupper friends. We live in a beautiful home on an organic farm. This year marks the 14th year and third state in which I've tended to puppies, dogs and senior puppers. Since moving to Vermont 8 years ago, my home has been referred to as "farm camp." This is because: pups who are able to enjoy the farm experience off leash! While I enjoy tending to the greater dog population in its entirety, senior dogs, ones who take medications, those living with physical and developmental ailments and pups nearing end of life are my specialty. While the latest DSM may not have nature deficit disorder printed on its pages, I know it effects not only people but more importantly, dogs! I value and understand that exercise specifically in the wilderness provides a focused energy released followed by contentment. Starting in Providence, R.I., Lee and I took off walking city dogs. Over time, I curated two hiking packs of dogs. All off leash, good recall and, worked together navigating trails with minimal tiffs. Between my city walkers and packs, I began boarding. While I had my regulars, I wanted to offer support in other ways. Middle of the night emergency visits, families dealing with unforeseen events and parents who needed a break even though, their pup was nearing end of life. I've waited with dogs to board planes and have been at the airport to pick them up. Arranging wedding arrivals/departures and transport to/from vets. On several occasions, I've had the honor of being there for a pup's end of life. Since this is a new space for your pup, it's important that we stick to your in home structure as much as possible. This allows them to feel more comfortable and stress free. This means I will ask for a list of usual commands, eating times, toys, blankets and beds. If your pup has any quirks, I like to know! The more information, the better! When scheduling pick up and drop off times: if you're going to be late please kindly send a text update. I am extremely flexible with times! Not communicating information is a big issue and can lead to scheduling conflicts. For every 45 minutes that you're late and lack communication you will be charged an additional $10. My rate for overnight stays are based on a 24 hour period. If your drop off to pick up time goes over the 24 hour period, I charge a prorated amount to match the time difference. If your drop off to pick up time is less then 24 hours, it is a flat rate of $40. Thanks for reading and I look forward to speaking with you. About: I've recently become petless and would like to remedy that situation by spending some time with your dog. Having grown up around dogs, I'm very well experienced in young, middle and older aged dog care having worked at my friend's doggie daycare for 2 years during Hurricane Sandy. I was also a dog walker in Manhattan and Brooklyn during Covid. I moved back to New England after 20+ years in NYC. I walk a lot and I'd enjoy a companion. Or if you just need me to stop by to say hello and give them a little attention, I'm your gal. I work from home so have the flexibility to ensure your pup is well taken care of at all points of the day and night. Your pup will be taken out at least 4x per day, morning, lunch, early evening and late evening with two of those outings being longer walks/plays. I'm communicative, responsive, flexible and easy to work with. Your loved one will feel relaxed and at home. I live in a dog friendly area with close access to multiple parks and walking areas. I will respect your care instructions with the occasional treat here and there.
