“Mickela was amazing with Ash Pãozinho! He can be shy with new people, but she was very patient with him and let him get comfortable at his own pace. By the end of the booking, he was clearly relaxed around her and happy to spend time with her. She stayed with him, played with him, took care of his food, water, and litter, and kept me updated with photos and messages every day. She was also very communicative and respectful of my home and instructions. I felt much more comfortable being away knowing he was in good hands. I would absolutely book with Mickela again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter.”

“Savannah was a great help to our two cats when we were out of town! My boys were always happy to see her at the front door (as evidenced by adorable window pics)”

“While I didn’t actually get to meet Edmond and Nafis, they were very easy and pleasant to work with. They were also accommodating when my trip got unexpectedly extended. I got detailed summaries of each visit and lots of pictures which always puts my mind at ease! I will definitely be booking them again in the future.”

About: Hi—Theresa and T’Challa here🖤 I love all puppies and would welcome the opportunity to love on yours during their upcoming stay! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! We look forward to meeting you. I currently work from home full-time. While working from home, your pup will get (3) walks and time to run around in the front fenced yard between meetings/calls. I also love to sit outside so they’re free to roam during this time as well. I personally have a “high flight risk” pup! If there’s an opportunity to run—he’s taking it. With that said, while your pup is in my care, it’s my job to take precautions to prevent them from getting loose or hurt. Although my front yard is fenced, I’m still present while they’re outside. Inside, they’re allowed anywhere I go!
“Lilla has been amazing with our dog and communication with me. Lloyd was having severe anxiety and Lilla communicated with me every step of the way, on his behavior, shyness, and even when he got a bit aggressive towards her. She comforted him and gave him the space and attention he needed as we devised a plan. I appreciated her openness, understanding and thoughtful approach to our dogs needs!”

About: Hi! I’m Tamara, and I’ve been an animal lover my whole life 🐾 I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets—their personalities, their quirks, and just making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I offer pet sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I always try to tailor care to each pet’s needs. Whether that’s long walks, playtime, sticking to a specific routine, or just keeping them company and giving lots of attention, I’m happy to adjust. I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable in their own environment, so I focus on keeping things calm, consistent, and stress-free. I’ve had experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, temperaments, and needs, and I’m very attentive to details like feeding routines, medications (if needed), and behavior changes. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, and I work in a way that allows me to spend quality time with the pets I care for. I’m reliable, responsive, and treat every pet like they’re my own. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family member 💛 I’m currently y working part-time so have plenty of time to take care of your babies. I have plenty of dog and cat toys to play with, grooming stuff etc. I have a partially fences yard and a medium size dog and 3 cats to keep your babies company. If I come to your house, I make sure I follow your instructions closely

About: Animals have always been a part of my life! I’ve had both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have helped care for family members’ pets when needed. My experience includes caring for puppies who need extra supervision, as well as a senior dog who required medication. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and paying attention to changes in a pet’s behavior and needs. I’m comfortable following your instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication, and daily routines within my experience. I understand that every pet is different, and I want to make sure yours receives attentive, loving care tailored to their needs. I work from home, which gives me flexibility to incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I enjoy having the opportunity to give pets extra attention and companionship throughout the day. I’m organized, dependable, and happy to work with your pet’s existing schedule to help them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. 🐾 When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep them comfortable, happy, and on their usual routine while their favorite humans are away. I follow your instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, and any special care your pet needs. I believe in providing plenty of love, patience, attention, and companionship while respecting each pet’s unique personality. Whether that means playtime, a walk around the neighborhood, cuddles on the couch, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for. I also love sending photo updates and messages so you can see how your fur baby is doing while you’re away. Your home, your pet’s routine, and your instructions will always be treated with care and respect. ❤️🐾
About: I have been a dog owner for 14 years and counting. My old girl still has a lot of energy so we are constantly outside or tearing it up around the house! I have experience working with and dog sitting neighbor's and family member's dogs for extended periods and am comfortable working with dogs larger than my own. I will try my best to be as flexible as I can and work towards building a lovely relationship with your dog or dogs. I can't wait to meet your furbabies! I currently work full time during the week. I can be available around 5pm some nights for night care and any time over the weekend for all day or overnight care. I treat all pets as if they are my own. I know what it's like having to leave your child with another and I aim to elevate any worries by showing my genuine care for your pet.

“Jada And Nazir are two amazing people. They were very personable and communicated effectively. I booked them for drop in services and they were on time and thorough.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for pets with different personalities, needs, and abilities. I have six cats of my own and also care for a feral cat colony, which has taught me a lot about patience, trust, and meeting animals where they are. I also help care for my family’s dogs, including a very happy three-legged mutt who reminds me every day that a disability doesn’t get in the way of a wonderful life! I’m comfortable administering medications to both cats and dogs, including insulin injections. I also practice cooperative care, helping animals feel safe and comfortable during medication and handling rather than making those experiences scary. I believe building trust and respecting an animal’s boundaries can make a huge difference in their well-being. When pet parents are away, I love doing more than just the basics. I enjoy spending quality time with animals, learning their personalities, and planning enrichment activities that keep them mentally stimulated, engaged, and happy. Whether that means playtime, sniffing games, puzzle feeders, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs. I also love learning all the little things that make your pets feel at home! Tell me their favorite treats, toys, hiding spots, sleeping spaces, blankets, routines, and quirky habits. The more I know about what makes them comfortable and happy, the better I can recreate the familiar comforts of home while you’re away. My goal is for your pets to feel like you’ve just stepped out for coffee rather than gone on vacation! I know how much pets mean to their families, and I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, compassion, and attention I give my own. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, enriched, and well cared for while you’re away, so you can enjoy your time apart knowing they’re in good hands! I currently work a desk job but can visit your pet in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I unwind by spending time with animals, so being with your pet will probably be my favorite part of my day. It will not just be another item on my to do list. At home I live on a 1/3 of acer with a fenced in yard. Inside I have a 6 cats with lots of cat trees and space for cats to go up and get a good view of the world. We also have separate rooms for cats (or small dogs) to have their own space if they get overwhelmed or want their own space
About: My fiancée and I have decades of combined pet-sitting experience and have loved every second of it! We’ve cared for 100+ pets (of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments!) and have fostered a few dozen more. Early this year, we finally adopted our own dog (Bear - a golden retriever) who is truly a big teddy bear who gets along perfectly with every dog and human and doesn’t mind sharing his space! For each of our guests, we want to make their time with us their own little vacation, which means that we do everything in our power to make sure that they have the best time they possibly could! We’d be absolutely ecstatic if you’d choose to trust us with your beloved pets and we promise to treat them as our own! I am in the office from 8-4 Mon-Fri, but my partner works from home every day of the week, so someone will always be around to care for your pet! I have a comfortable and spacious apartment with plenty of room for your pets to enjoy themselves! My apartment complex includes a large dog park with a pet spa and I am also close to several parks!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Coral Hills
Reetchel is the best in the game. She is reliable, trustworthy and has saved me when I faced a difficult travel situation and had to come back home later. You can be sure that she will take care of your pets like her own. Cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Reetchel!

They were absolutely amazing. I just moved to the area from Texas and had to travel to Colorado for my niece’s birthday, but couldn’t bring my dog. My usual pet sitter is back in Texas, so I was unexpectedly without pet care. When the dates of my trip changed, they were generous and flexible enough to watch Scooby a little longer. Scooby normally takes a while to warm up to new people and can be particularly hesitant around men, but he bonded with them incredibly quickly. They truly exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and wonderful with pets.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
