Larraine kindly stepped in to help us at very short notice. Our cats were very happy to see us on our return, but we knew they’d been cared for while we were away with a lot of love and attention!

Our crew adores Chenia. She had all their names memorized and although it was only an hour check-in she often stayed a little longer. She sent tons of pictures showing her interacting with our dogs and cats. Lots of playtime and snuggles. Will use again.

About: Hi, I’m Marie! Caring for dachshunds has been a central part of my life for many years. My sweet long-haired miniature dachshund, Luna, joined me as a puppy and was my constant companion for 12 wonderful years. She truly lived her best life—going everywhere with me, acting as my shadow, and showing me just how deep and meaningful the bond between people and dogs can be. I lost her three years ago, but my love for dachshunds has never faded. I still have plenty of dachshund love to give! Alongside Luna, I also shared my life with Mohawk, my Dutch Shepherd (and Luna's "big brother"), whom I cared for into his senior years at over 15 years old. Through both of them, I gained experience caring for small and large breeds, puppies, seniors, and dogs with a wide range of personalities and activity levels. I currently don't have pets of my own, which allows me to give your pets my full attention, care, and affection while they're with me. What I offer: *In-home pet care and house sitting. *Dachshund-savvy handling and care. *Experience with miniature dachshunds, puppies, and senior dogs. *Walks tailored to your pet's needs—from neighborhood strolls to local beach trails. If your dog enjoys adventure, I'd be happy to bring them along on a hike with your permission. *References available through Rover as well as personal references from coworkers and other clients whose pets I've cared for. I treat every animal as if they were my own—with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. Whether your companion enjoys long walks, quiet companionship, playtime, or simply having a calm, consistent presence, I'll care for them the way they're most comfortable. I'd love the opportunity to care for your dachshund, dog, or cat and give you complete peace of mind while you're away. I am in my off season so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, play, medication needs, and check-ins, ensuring consistent, reliable care and plenty of attention. I prioritize safety, trust, and routine by carefully following owner instructions, maintaining clean environments, securing doors and gates, monitoring behavior, and providing calm, attentive care in your home. However, if I get to know you, there is a chance for me to board in my home.

About: I volunteered at an animal shelter for over 5 years. I really enjoyed it. I would love to take care of your pets. I have had several pets throughout my life. Watched my sisters' dogs multiple times. And I currently have a cat. 2 years old. I've had her since she was 3 months old. Taking care of, and helping, animals brings me great joy. It always has. I am responsible, reliable, honest, and trustworthy. I am also caring, kind, and generous. I am willing to walk, bathe, brush, and play with your animal. Feeding, watering, and petting, as needed. I have a valid driver's license, and transportation. Please, let me help you, and your pet. In any way that I can. Thank you. Sincerely, Katy A. I currently work part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with/take care of your furry family member. Also, I don't work weekends. I will arrive on time, where and when you ask me to. I will keep your furry busy/occupied. Follow your instructions, care needs, and requests.

About: Hi there! I’m an animal lover through and through, with a heart for every kind of creature—whether they bark, purr, cluck, bleat, hiss, chirp, or hop! I’ve spent years caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, and it brings me so much joy to be a comforting, reliable presence in their lives. I have hands-on experience with dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, as well as senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m also experienced with farm animals like chickens, goats, cows, sheep, and rabbits—and I’ve had the pleasure of caring for reptiles and birds as well. From bearded dragons to parakeets, I understand their unique needs and how to make them feel safe and cared for. As a trained veterinary assistant, I’m especially knowledgeable when it comes to animal health, special needs, and understanding body language. Whether it’s playtime, quiet companionship, specialized feeding, or help with medications, I’m here to make sure every animal in my care feels safe, loved, and well looked after. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. I’d be honored to be a part of your pet’s life and give you peace of mind while you're away. I am open every day of the week to many different schedules. Contact me so we can work out what would be best for your furry family member. When I’m caring for your pet in your home, my top priority is to maintain their routine and make sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed in their familiar space. I take time to get to know each animal’s unique personality, needs, and preferences so I can offer care that feels comforting and natural for them. Whether that means early morning walks, gentle brushing, cozy cuddle time, play sessions, or simply quiet companionship, I’m happy to adjust to what your pet enjoys most. I’m experienced with administering medications and caring for pets with special needs, and I always keep a close eye on their well-being while you’re away. While house sitting, I treat your home with the utmost respect and care—keeping things clean, tidy, and just the way you left them. I’ll happily water plants, bring in mail, take out trash, and keep everything running smoothly so you can return to a happy pet and a peaceful home. I know how important it is to feel confident and worry-free while you're away, and I’m here to provide exactly that—for you and your beloved animals.

About: I grew up rescuing and caring for feral cats, wrangling a pack of adopted dogs, caring for pet chickens. I have experience in observing and caring for a wide variety of pet problems, so I'm thoughtful about behavior and game for a gamut of compassionate care. I've had the pleasure to meet many pet personalities and am always eager to enjoy more! In the winter, I have broader availability. I have a flexiblity that allows me to help owners across a wide range of days and times. Let's talk about it! My priorities when petsitting are pets' comfort and safety and keeping a low imprint in the house for the comfort of owners. Having a new person in the house is an adjustment for everyone, and I gear my choices towards making that as smooth as possible.

About: I absolutely love dogs ! They truly are man’s best friend till the end. I have two dogs of my own , whom I love very much ! I have experience in dog sitting as well as dog walking and I am passionate about providing good care and excited to meet new pups! I fit pet care into my day/week routine because I have two dogs of my own. One is a pit bull and another is a boarder collie so to say they need care is an understatement. They have the upmost energy. I will play with them and wear them out so they get a good nights sleep. With that being said we walk, hike, run, go to the beach, play fetch , etc. as much as we can. I treat my puppies very kindly , if not they’re quite spoiled. 😉 I care very deeply about animals and I aim to help when I can !

As of August 2026, there are 46 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Coos Bay. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Coos Bay stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
