“Sarah was flexible and very accommodating for my pups. She communicated if she was running late and took cute pictures reassuring me that everything was okay with my babies. I will definitely rebook with her if our schedules align.”

“Sophia was a great sitter, followed guidance and always sent the cutest pictures of our furbabies! She was reliable and gave our two cats and 70 pound dog lots of attention and treats while we were gone.”

About: I have a lot of experience with caring for animals. I have had several dogs and cats over the years. I have always enjoyed pet sitting for family and friends and I have even fostered a baby calf that was orphaned. I Raised her for a year until I found her a forever home in east Texas, where she now lives and has had four babies. I love animals and especially love being able to have them come visit us. Eddie our family dog has always gotten along with other dogs and even cats. He loves to have pup friends come and stay and play. Our home has a large backyard for your pet to play and roam around. We can accommodate you pup with a separate place to sleep or they are welcome to play, relax and sleep wherever they feel comfortable. Your visiting pup will be treated as one of our own. They will have plenty of playtime while visiting. Our family spends a lot of time in our backyard, allowing your pup to constantly be around others. I don't mind pet sitting for different clients at the same time. I would only do this if I already know the pups behavior and know for sure that they can get along with others. I am here for the most part all day/night. I am able to let the pets out as needed which usually works out to be every 2-4 hours. I have a fenced yard for potty breaks and playing. I am able to crate your pup if needed. My dog Eddie loves to have other pets visiting and eager to play. Also have cats that generally get along with dogs as long as they do not chase them. Please fill out your pets routine on your profile.
“Rebekah gave me such a great peace of mind during my trip when she was taking care of my dog! She sent me pictures of him during her visits & let me know his behavior and what she assisted with during her visit! Highly recommend.”

“Jackson is one of the most excellent sitters in the area. He is super communicative, accommodating of last minute changes, timely, and most importantly, gentle and kind with our Cléo. We had a big chaotic event going on that pulled our attention and focus elsewhere, and we felt very confident and reassured leaving Cléo with him because of his ability to adapt and problem solve if needed while we would be managing other things. Thank you for your grace and patience Jackson!! Cléo and our family appreciate you greatly! 🥰”

“we absolutely love Kim. she takes really great care of our boys when we’re away. she is patient and understanding when it comes to giving medicine and particular needs. our cats love her and would recommend her services to anyone!!”

“As always, Shannon is so professional and really cares about our dogs. We never worry when we are away because she is always in contact with us. Will use her again and again!”
“Jessica was amazing to work with. We had a last minute get away and we were nervous about what the dogs would do while we weee gone. Jessica was kind enough to come meet the dogs with us home before we left. Within seconds it was easy to see how she loves animals and our dogs were at complete ease with her. We also had no concerns letting her into our home to play with the dogs while we were away. She had a very flexible schedule and was on time and punctual morning, afternoon or at night. She will be our go to dog helper and she should be yours too.”

“Lauren was super sweet, attentive and punctual! She left great notes and always snapped a pic of our guy to share. We never had to worry about our boy while out of country which was priceless for us. We will absolutely be using her again in the future! 🙂 thanks Lauren!”

About: I’ve had all types of pets since I was a baby. I’ve had guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, cats, and dogs. I am an animal lover through and through. I have a pretty open schedule so I will always be able to make the time. If not then I will make sure to have that conversation with whoever I’m caring for. Whatever you ask I will do. I know all families situations are different. If they need to be crated I will. If they need to be let out I will. Just tell me what you need.
“Very accommodating and took amazing care of my cat. For a cat with separation anxiety and will pee on things when left alone too long as well as scream at you when you come back home, she was pretty calm and very happy upon my arrival. Thank you so much Isabel!”

About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life, and I genuinely can’t imagine a home without them! Growing up with all types of animals (dogs, cats, lizards, hamsters, etc.) has taught me how to care for animals of all personalities, sizes, and ages. I adopted my first dog on my own 4 years ago, and she has taught me so much about patience, training, and the special bond you build with your pets. I now have two dogs and a cat of my own, so I know firsthand how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust with them. I believe every pet deserves to be loved and cared for to the fullest extent, and I’ll be sure to treat your pets the same way! I’m a full-time student, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I’m able to fit pet care into my routine around my classes and can usually stop by whenever I’m not in class. This gives me plenty of flexibility to work with your schedule and make sure your pets get the attention and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first with me! During walks and drop-in visits, I make sure your furry friend feels happy, safe, and loved. I carefully follow your instructions, keep a close eye on them during our time together, and always double check that doors and gates are secure. My goal is to make every visit feel just like time with a trusted friend!
“She was fantastic. It was a last minute booking and she responded quick, was great to meet, attentive to my pups needs and took great care of her. Will definitely book again, albiet with more notice. 😎”

“Sophia was awesome! She gave me such peace of mind during an out of town trip. She did a great job looking after my kitties and keeping me updated after each visit. Highly recommend her!!”

“Emma was great! She was flexible and understanding when I had to make some changes to my trip plans, took great care of my blind senior dog that requires meds and special attention, and she sent updates and pictures every visit. I know Dakota loved the company and having her take care of him while I was gone!”

“Hilda was great! We needed a late night sitter to let our dog out before bedtime and Hilda was able to come every night at 11pm for 9 nights. She was responsible, communicative, followed our guidance well and took great care of our pets. She even went above and beyond while emptying the litter boxes by taking our trash bin out to the curb and bringing it back at the end of the time. Would book again!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
