I’ve had dogs and cats as pets and feel comfortable with all sizes. I’m always the go to dog sitter for my friends and I really enjoy it. When I'm at your home, I follow your pet's daily routine and schedule as closely as possible. I respect your space completely and leave no trace once I've gone. I provide regular updates so you know exactly how your pet is doing while you're away. We have been in business for a year, but been doing this for friends family for many years prior. Whether you are busy pet parent or just needing a bit of help here and there, I take care of most animals: dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, etc… I’ve had a pet care service for almost a year but I have years of experience taking care of animals for 8. I’m currently working full time, but I am working on being able to do this full time. I will keep my calendar updated to match my schedule at work until I can do this full time. I house sit at the clients home. If you do not have a fence, I will walk the pet long enough so they can get some enjoyment. I will clean as I go and it will either look as good as it did or better when you come back.

Well Fridays I work from home so it would easy, Saturdays and sundays I usually do Pilates so it would actually keep me busy in a way I work from home on Fridays, which gives me more flexibility to care for pets. I’m also available on weekends. I usually spend my weekends doing Pilates and staying active, so pet sitting and dog walking would fit nicely into my routine. I live near the Soulard area, which is a great place for walks. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and getting the attention they need. I follow the owner’s instructions and do my best to keep their pets on their normal routine.

About: I have cared for pets my entire life. We had various dogs and cats growing up in my family home. My previous roommate had a dog and a cat for many years and I would pet-sit whenever needed! Big or small, I love them all! I work remotely a few days a week, so my schedule is flexible. Weekends are available! Holidays are dependent on my work schedule, but I am usually available! I know my schedule months in advance so will depend on what service you're looking for and what dates Unfortunately, my dog is not friendly with other animals so I cannot provide boarding. About: Hey there! My name is Annika, and I’m so excited to take your furry friend for a walk in STL. I’m originally from IL, where my family has had cats and dogs. Hey there! As far as overall care experience with animals, I’ve worked with dogs, cats, horses, and even a turtle (long story) since I was a kid. On the official dog walking front, I have 3 years of experience completing 360+ dog walks and sitting services through the Wag Walker app. I have also just passed my 2-year anniversary of weekly volunteering at a local cat shelter, Tenth Life Cat Rescue. I've found a way to get along with every personality I've come across, picked up tricks and tools for making sure pets are eating their meals and drinking their water, and cleaned up the most stomach-turning of messes. I'm sure your pet and I will be fast friends, but even if that's not the case and they'd rather hide under the bed the whole time, I will make sure your pet is safe and thoroughly cared for (and we can just be friends in spirit 🥲). My most open blocks of time to provide pet care are in the mornings and afternoons on weekdays, and I can also make my weekends available for care when given enough advance notice. Fridays are the one day each week where I have very limited availability during the day: these are my cat and horse rescue volunteer days. That being said, I can be available starting on Friday evenings for weekend settings, if given enough advance notice. For sittings, I generally stick to services within a 15 mi. radius of my neighborhood, Tower Grove South. This ensures I am a quick drive away from your home in case I need to get over there quickly, and it allows me to periodically check in on my own cats back at home. I'm open to either just dropping by 2-4 times a day to fulfill your pet's needs, or I can stay overnight at your home - whatever is preferred to make sure your pet is cared for and is kept to their routine. I do not offer boarding services. Overall, I believe in over communication and do not make assumptions. If I need clarification on your instructions or if an issue comes up during the service, I will reach out to you immediately. I keep my phone handy for texts and calls from you throughout the service, and will also regularly send photos and videos of your pet. I do not give pets treats unless explicitly instructed to do so. In those approved situations, I will only feed them kinds of treats that you provide. I do this being cognizant of different dietary sensitivities a pet may have and, again, not making any assumptions. Before starting a sitting service, I ideally want a chance to talk with you over the phone at minimum and get a sense of your pet's needs, preferences, triggers, etc., directly. If your pet understandably prefers to stay hidden during my sitting visits, I respect that. I will still look for them just to ensure they are okay. For walks, I do not take dogs to a dog park and/or let them off leash at any point. Even if your dog is completely trained, I don't trust other people with their dogs and will not risk putting your dog in danger. And even while on leash, I am overly cautious about interactions with other dogs and will generally steer away from other dogs in passing.
