About: I love dogs and taking care of them! Growing up I have always had a dog in my household. As soon as I turned 18 I got 2 puppies of my own! I know how hard it is to have to leave your pups at home alone so I would love to be able to take your dogs out and give them the enrichment they need! About: I have been taking care of sweet, precious pups since I was 7 years old when my mom surprised me and my brother with a basset hound puppy after school. Her name was Roxanne. A couple years later, we rescued a 6-year-old basset hound, Brandi, and a few years later, we rescued a 1-year-old beagle mix, Misty, and adopted a basset hound puppy, Willow, who had just been born on a farm near our house. We treasured our sweet babies, cooking for them every day - hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and meat and veggies for dinner. And they lived long, happy lives. Brandi, Misty, and Willow all made it to about 15 years old! I just moved from Colorado to start my PhD in Public Health at WashU, and I can't wait to pick back up with dog sitting again! In Colorado, I was the honorary dog sitter at my church. One couple even flew me out to California a few times to continue caring for their sweet pup after they moved! Between my own dogs and others' dogs, I've taken care of dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors who need lots of support. I am a PhD student at WashU Bursky School of Public Health. This semester, I have a class on the Danforth campus on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12pm-1pm, and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. My research is remote. So, I have lots of flexibility to make sure your pups get their potty breaks and play time and walk time, even on days that I have class. And house sitting would work super well :) I am offering house sitting, check-ins, and walks. If I am house sitting, I will always stay the night to make sure your pets are safe and well taken care of. I will keep the outer doors locked and make sure I am able to hear your pets if they need me. I am also happy to sleep in the same room with them if that is your preference. I will make sure to follow whatever schedule your pets need, e.g., eating, medicine, walking. As far as check-ins and walks, I will make sure to respect whatever rules you have for the house (e.g., shoes off, doors locked). I'm also happy to give your dogs a bath when they need it!

About: My parents are avid animal rescuers and dog trainers so I have taken care of many different dog breeds ranging from puppies to senior dogs. I also spent a lot of college pet sitting for my professors to fund my degree and am comfortable administering meds, crating dogs and of course helping your pet work off their pent up energy. I am a content creator and baker so my hours are completely flexible. I am able to check in throughout the day while you’re at work and also can offer overnight stays. I do sometimes host shows and events between the hours of 7-10 pm so some overnight visits may need to start later depending on how much supervision your pet needs. I am very comfortable following care plans and can accommodate your pets routine to ensure everything runs smoothly in your absence. I am also happy to check in and will ask questions if needed to clarify any instructions.

About: Hey there! My name is Annika, and I’m so excited to take your furry friend for a walk in STL. I’m originally from IL, where my family has had cats and dogs. Hey there! As far as overall care experience with animals, I’ve worked with dogs, cats, horses, and even a turtle (long story) since I was a kid. On the official dog walking front, I have 3 years of experience completing 360+ dog walks and sitting services through the Wag Walker app. I have also just passed my 2-year anniversary of weekly volunteering at a local cat shelter, Tenth Life Cat Rescue. I've found a way to get along with every personality I've come across, picked up tricks and tools for making sure pets are eating their meals and drinking their water, and cleaned up the most stomach-turning of messes. I'm sure your pet and I will be fast friends, but even if that's not the case and they'd rather hide under the bed the whole time, I will make sure your pet is safe and thoroughly cared for (and we can just be friends in spirit 🥲). My most open blocks of time to provide pet care are in the mornings and afternoons on weekdays, and I can also make my weekends available for care when given enough advance notice. Fridays are the one day each week where I have very limited availability during the day: these are my cat and horse rescue volunteer days. That being said, I can be available starting on Friday evenings for weekend settings, if given enough advance notice. For sittings, I generally stick to services within a 15 mi. radius of my neighborhood, Tower Grove South. This ensures I am a quick drive away from your home in case I need to get over there quickly, and it allows me to periodically check in on my own cats back at home. I'm open to either just dropping by 2-4 times a day to fulfill your pet's needs, or I can stay overnight at your home - whatever is preferred to make sure your pet is cared for and is kept to their routine. I do not offer boarding services. Overall, I believe in over communication and do not make assumptions. If I need clarification on your instructions or if an issue comes up during the service, I will reach out to you immediately. I keep my phone handy for texts and calls from you throughout the service, and will also regularly send photos and videos of your pet. I do not give pets treats unless explicitly instructed to do so. In those approved situations, I will only feed them kinds of treats that you provide. I do this being cognizant of different dietary sensitivities a pet may have and, again, not making any assumptions. Before starting a sitting service, I ideally want a chance to talk with you over the phone at minimum and get a sense of your pet's needs, preferences, triggers, etc., directly. If your pet understandably prefers to stay hidden during my sitting visits, I respect that. I will still look for them just to ensure they are okay. For walks, I do not take dogs to a dog park and/or let them off leash at any point. Even if your dog is completely trained, I don't trust other people with their dogs and will not risk putting your dog in danger. And even while on leash, I am overly cautious about interactions with other dogs and will generally steer away from other dogs in passing.
