“Karolina was a wonderful dog sitter! She took such great care of our dog, Hank, and kept him happy and comfortable while we were away. It was clear she really cared about him, and that gave us a lot of peace of mind. When we got home, everything was clean and just as we left it—she even tidied up before heading out. We will definitely be using Karolina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and thoughtful pet sitter!”

“Maddy was a fantastic house/cat sitter for our two cuties. Her communication is excellent, she carefully followed our sort of OTT directions for feeding and we returned home to happy kitties and a sparkling house. Thank you, Maddy!”

I work from home, so I will will spend the entire workday with your animal (in addition to all other responsibilities. I am very communicative, and I have been told I take great animal photos - so you will feel connected to them as you enjoy your travels away from home! As I mentioned above, I work from home so I plan to spend the entire work day with your furry friends. I will also spend as much additional time with them as they need to make sure they’re comfortable in your absence. I am very responsible when it comes to your needs and what will make you feel safe while I am watching your companions. About: I’ve always had dogs growing up, dogs that have complicated medical needs to dogs that are lax and can do everything on their own. I’ve always grown up with cats as well as a plethora of other animals including fish, lizards, birds, and frogs. I’ve housesat for multiple people over the years and have received much positive feedback! I’m working evening at a restaurant from 3pm to 8pm, so it doesn’t cause much shift in my capability to care for your furry friends! I am more than happy to stay at your place in caring for your pets or if easier/preferred, I can stop by intermittently throughout the day to give your pet the care it needs.
“Nicole was communicative and took great care of my senior pup. It was a relief to have someone staying in my home with him where he is most comfortable. I highly recommend Nicole and will happily reach out again in the future!”

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was 8 and all my dogs have shown great love towards me because I give them the full love back. I am known in the family as the family caretaker when our dogs get old and need special attention. The reason I take care of my dogs when they get older because I have the patience, attentions, and most of all, love in supporting them through their elderly stage. All pets deserve the best and I am more than happy to provide that! I am currently taking the year off from work to travel the world but in between my trips I have a lot of free time and feel it can be better spent taking care of pets while other people can enjoy trips or another activity that requires them to leave their pet at home. I have a 5-year old Havanese and I take him on walks daily, I make sure he is bathe at least once a month, and try to take him on as many trips so I can, so he can enjoy the world as much I as I do.

About: I have had pets all of my life, my mom had two dogs and a cat before I was even born. I am a passionate animal advocate and have fostered and rescued over 50 dogs in the last 10 years with Northwest Boxer Rescue, and I took a Veterinary Medicine class in my final year of high school. I have all the basic medical experience of a Veterinary Assistant, and I am CPR trained for cats and dogs! I am also trained in basic grooming and small animal first aid. I have taken care of and owned a variety of animals, from rodents to horses and livestock, and I have fostered dogs from newborn puppies to seniors in their final days. I am currently in my 2nd year at WWU and I only have classes twice a week with a super flexible schedule. I’d love to meet you and your fur babies of all shapes and sizes! I am currently just a student, so I have plenty of extended free time to take care of your pets. On days I have class, I can stop by or take your dog for a walk in the mornings before 10am, and come back later around 4pm as well, with a mid day check-in too if you’d like! :) I am free all days besides Tues/Thurs, and I can be flexible with your schedule too! I am available on weekends and late nights. I have a quarter of an acre fully fenced yard for my dog at home, and my cats are indoor only cats. I take my dog for walks twice a day, and love to spend at least 30 minutes playing with one of my cats at home, he is an energetic breed and needs interaction. My other cats love to snuggle up with me on the couch, so I have no issue taking your dog for a walk and getting in some needed playtime, or just snuggling up with a furry friend on the couch and giving them some loves! My pets are fed twice a day, and they all have water fountains with frequently cleaned and filtered water. My dog goes out for potty breaks every couple of hours as needed. Routinely pet care is very important to me as well, I brush my cats & trim their nails, and I bathe, brush, and clip my dog as well. My pets are all vaccinated and on flea & tick medication. I can comfortably crate (and rotate) if needed. All of my cats are 100% indoor only and I am VERY vigilant about this! Keep cats indoors 😊

“Karlee was great!! She kept us informed of what was happening back at the house and everything was great when we arrived home, including all the toys picked up and in the toybox. 😊 My pups seemed to get along fine with her...after the initial barking session, which occurs with everyone. I will definitely book her again if she is available.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Comar
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 696 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Comar. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Comar walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Comar maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Comar choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
