“Sam is incredibly reliable and amazing with our dog, Olive. She treats her like her own and communicates so well, which gives us total peace of mind. We feel very lucky to have found her and highly recommend!”

“Just one week into having Max (and his fiancé) take care of my two dogs and I’m already so impressed. Max and Jen took the time to get to know my dogs and asked tons of questions prior to starting weekly walks. They are both incredibly communicative and timely, send pictures and updates for each walk, and have been extremely patient with my female pup, who can be shy around new people. I will definitely turn to Max and Jen for any future dog sitting needs!”

“Keegan is great! She really cares about the dogs and their personalities. She notices the details about their behavior and knows how best to engage with them. Both times she spent the full 30 or 60 minutes with my dogs. She sent lots of pictures and notes about how things went. Best experience with rover so far.”

“She was an absolute GODSEND. I could not recommend her high enough. She was amazing from start to finish. Took my pups off my hands for over an hour on super short notice for a walk. She recommended a great area to take them and handled my sometimes tricky pups with ease.”

“Averi is amazing, she responded quickly to my last minute requests and was so kind and gracious with my boy even though he has lots of quirks. Highly recommend!!”

“Megan is such an awesome pet sitter! She was excellent at communicating and sending pictures. She even tried her best with my high anxiety dog, who does not like people. I will most definitely book with Megan again! Highly recommend!”

About: Hi my name is Madison and I am extremely passionate with animals, especially dogs and cats. I grew up around rescue dogs as pets and then pursued more experience in animal welfare organizations during college and after. Organizations such as Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC and Lake Norman Humane in Cornelius. I am a current active volunteer with the City of Charlotte Animal Care and Control. Through these hours each week I am exposed to dogs and cats from all different backgrounds. My schedule is extremely flexible whether it be for walks or longer care in the morning, afternoon, and evenings. Currently I am looking for full-time work due to budget cuts at my job of 7 years. My typical day looks like job applications and volunteering for at least a few hours at the city animal shelter. Even when I am not there I love helping with dog profiles and other ways to advocate for them. Care depends on the dog and/or cat parent’s preferences since I know each dog and cat are unique. Especially in their home they are used to a specific routine and I want to do my best to uphold their “normal” to help keep them and their parent(s) at ease while away. My home situation is an apartment but there is a courtyard close for easy bathroom breaks and then great walking routes. If they prefer outdoor playtime there are parks nearby as well, or other options the parent feels comfortable with. I can also fit a crate in my apartment if that is preferred by the parent and/or dog. While I do have cats in my apartment, I can keep them separated from a visiting dog. They are used to dogs because sometimes I bring home shelter dogs as a “daycation” break away from the loud shelter. Therefore I am well-versed in making sure everyone stays safe. If taking care of a cat in their home the same principles apply to make sure they feel as comfortable in their usual routine as possible. I understand that cats are especially sensitive to change.
About: I currently work as a veterinary assistant and am in my final semester of a veterinary technician program! I have had animals my whole life and can provide anything from snuggles to medications. Animals are my passion! I typically work part-time (9a-12p on weekdays) and have school 7a-6:20p on Wednesdays. I am willing to work around your schedules to make sure your fur baby has the care they need! I will work hard to ensure they have access to fresh food and water, a safe environment, and regular exercise. I will also make sure they have proper grooming based on their needs, scheduled vet visits, and consistent routines including playtime and affection, while always adhering to their specific dietary and medical requirements
“Diem was GREAT checking in on our dog and taking her for walks. She is extremely respectful of our home, communicated well, sent sweet notes and pictures on the app, and our dog loved her. Will book again!”

“Nicole takes Olive on the best walks and takes care of our pup Olive! She’s very communicative and keeps us well informed. Olive always comes back happy and well exercised. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been pet-sitting through Rover for about 7 years now. I graduated in 2022 with a pre-vet animal science degree from Andrews University. Originally I was wanting to become a vet, but decided that role wasn’t for me. I have also spent 8 months learning dog behavior after my graduation. I just recently moved to Charlotte with my husband but prior to moving, I was working at a veterinary clinic as a receptionist and vet assistant! I recently got a job as a veterinary receptionist here in Charlotte and my schedule is 12:30-6 pm M-F. I love interacting with all animals and have plenty of experience with dogs, cats, goats, sheep, cows, chickens, and even more! I have been around animals all my life and feel they are such an important aspect to life. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I recently got a part time job at a veterinary hospital working as a veterinary receptionist and work 12:30-6 PM M-F. I am happy to take care of you’re pets whenever able! I am very attentive and want pets to feel comfortable and safe with me. I allow them to get to know me at their pace and what they are comfortable with. Each pet is a little different and what works with one may not work with another! Whatever needs they have, I will be able to accommodate.
“I had a bad experience with the Dog Sitter that was recommended to me through a friend, so I was apprehensive about getting another Dog Sitter from a site that I didn’t know anything about. Montana put me at ease. She met me prior to booking and she met my dogs. She communicated and took pictures for each visit. She went above and beyond to keep my mind to love on my pups.”

“Great! Steve was very friendly when we met and my dog was cool with Steve when he first met him. Kane had a good walk and I recieved cute pics! Would highly recommend!”
About: I was born with pets around me. Currently, I have two eleven year old pups, a golden and a corgi. During quarantine we adopted a golden retriever puppy that required a ton of attention and work. She was my personal project and cuddle buddy. I walk her multiple times a day, bathe her, and taught her tricks like rolling over. I love dogs of all sizes and ages. My parents recently got a corgi puppy as well that I have dog sat for weeks at a time! After four years in the corporate space, I started a travel job and work seasonally. When caring for pets, I’ll be 100% available and not working on anything else aside from making sure your pup stays happy and healthy. I can care for your pup in any way you’d like. Whatever your home preferences are about where your dog can be and any boundaries or expectations can and will be followed.
“Enzo is a blessing!! He has helped us sooooo much with our new pup. Woolly, our dog loves him and is learning so much everyday! We love the pictures and videos that Enzo shares with us on all their walks and play dates! Thank you, Enzo!!”

Coliseum Drive dog parents share their Rover experiences
Alix was amazing! Finny absolutely loved Alix! Alix was always on time everyday to pickup Finny and let him out. She brought him all over town on his daily walks which he loves. I would highly recommend recommend Alix for any Rover service! We will absolutely be booking Alix again.

madison was so communicative and flexible when i asked her to walk my dog sully! you can tell she is a animal lover to her core and i felt at ease knowing my pup was in her care! sent lots of cute pictures and kept me updated. very sweet personality- would definitely ask her to walk my boy again!

Julia went above and beyond! I mentioned that my dog doesn’t usually eat when I’m gone, so she was able to get him to eat by putting some of his food on the ground and moving his food bowl to the center of the floor. I also just moved into a new place and had ordered a gate to prevent him from getting out, but I didn’t have time to assemble it before I had to leave, so she assembled the gate for me. She asked plenty of upon our meet and greet. Lastly, she left detailed notes after each visit. I would highly recommend her!
