“Samantha did a great job letting my dogs out and feeding them while we were gone for the day. My dogs really liked her. She communicated well which gave me peace of mind that my dogs and home were taken care of.”

“Anna T. was absolutely wonderful ❤️ She was so kind to all of us. She was immediately able to connect with our ginger 3 year old boy. Updates were prompt and detailed. She proactively asked great questions at our intro meeting.”

“Alysha is the best! This has been a busy out of town season for us as we travel frequently to watch our daughter compete at college swim meets. Alysha has been there for us and we could not be more thankful for her care of Lola while we are away.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all ages and sizes since I was 10, and my love for animals has only grown over the years! I believe every dog deserves patience, attention, and love, and I go above and beyond to make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and cared for. I won’t just watch your dog—I’ll treat them like family! I currently work part-time only two days a week, so I have plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my schedule! I can plan my time around your pet’s needs and make sure they receive plenty of attention, love, and reliable care while you’re away. I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved by following their normal routine, keeping a close eye on them, and respecting your home and rules. I’ll follow all feeding and care instructions, keep them out of unsafe situations, and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!
About: I have been responsible for caring for family and friends' pets for quite a few years. Some of the few things I do are let them out, feed them, and replenish their water. I also take them for walks . I am a college student so my schedule is very open. I have a few hours between classes, Which will make it easy to go take care of pets! I don't have my place due to living on campus however I will be careful and safe around your environment to make sure your fur babies are comfortable.
“Cara did an excellent job with my three animals. I even have an oddity, a miniature pot bellied pig, and she did great with her. She sent pictures with each visit and you can tell she played with them. I came home to very happy animals.”

“Mary was wonderful! She made an instant connection with my cat, LaTot, who is usually VERY selective about who she warms up to. Mary clearly has a special touch with cats and is truly a cat whisperer! Unfortunately, a change in my work travel schedule means I can't hire her right now, but I recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and attentive kitten nanny. Your fur babies would be in wonderful hands with Mary!”

“Bella did a terrific job caring for our 4 cats. She took time to play with them, and gave us extra details about how they were doing. She was reliable and left everything neat and tidy. I had to change my schedule at the last minute due to illness, and she was flexible and understanding. We would highly recommend Bella to care for your fur babies when you're away!”
About: I’ve been around dogs forever now! I’ve had all kinds of experiences with all different breeds. I can’t wait to love your pet almost as much as you do! I’m currently working from home and would love to have an excuse to get out of the house a little more often. I also love taking walks! I have a fenced yard and cameras set up around my house. I also have a security system in my house for doors being left open and so forth.

“Phillip was a godsend and I now feel so much better about leaving on vacation in the future. My dog meatball is very large and very afraid of new people and it took us 6 meetups for him to be comfortable enough for Phillip to watch him. I felt bad asking for so much but Phillip was happy to do it and just wanted to get to know Meatball. Eventually when I did leave Meatball was more at ease than I have ever seen him with a dog sitter. Normally it takes even more meetups just for him to be scared the whole time but Meatball actually trusted Phillip which was amazing. There was an incident where Meatball rolled around in some sort of wild animal remains in the backyard and Phillip stayed extra long to clean everything up and do it in a way that didn't freak meatball out. I was amazed and will be so happy to have Phillip house sit in the future!”

I live in a great neighborhood with many dog parks and my apartment complex has a dog run behind it. I have also trained and foster puppies before so I am familiar with positive behavioral reinforcement and do not believe in punishing dogs. I have worked in mental health for over 10 years as a therapist so I also have an amble amount of patience. Mondays and Fridays I work remotely so I am available for mid-day potty breaks on top of offering afternoon/evening/overnight care. I also have some flexibility to work remotely other days as well. My typical schedule is as below: Mondays: Available any time (working remotely) Tuesdays: Available after 5 pm Wednesdays: Available after 5 pm Thursdays: Available after 7 pm Fridays: Available any time (working remotely) Saturdays: Available anytime Sundays: Available anytime Do you have specific time requests, let's chat and find a way to work together! I do not have any dogs in my apartment but there are many friendly dogs in the neighborhood I've observed. I love dogs and always take my job of dog sitting seriously. Dogs deserve to be taken care of the right way! I know safe places to go for walks in my neighborhood, I am very vigilant to not let dogs put anything harmful in their mouths, and I ensure my apartment is very dog safe.

I am currently taking a semester off from college to work and save money I work at a daycare part time and am looking for extra ways to make money! About: I am 37 and have worked professionally with dogs for 10 years during my 20s. I began working in a boarding and daycare facility when I was 18. Since that time I have worked for other kennels as I have moved. I received my training certification in 2010 from Animal Behavior College and volunteered extensively at a shelter in Kansas City. I have volunteered with numerous rescue groups providing training and foster homes along with many boarding facilities. I love pet sitting and getting the opportunity to make a animals happy while their parents are away- all the rewards of being the fun aunt :) Experience with pets who have medications/diabetes/special needs. HOUSE SITTING: I work from home, with appointments throughout the day so your pets won't be left alone for long. I am flexible fitting into your pets routines, watering plants, and any other up-keeps that need done while you are away. A majority of the time I work from home while having occasional appointments out of the home. This gives me plenty of flexibility to ensure that your pet gets 1:1 time and gets outside when needed. I like to follow my clients routines so their pet can predict as much as possible. My experience has given me a little bit of the super power to predict the future, which leads to me to taking extra safety steps “just in case”

About: I’ve enjoyed animals my entire life. I had a dog growing up, and I fell in love with dogs and horses. I went to college for equine related activities. I’ve watched my friends pets and pets of contacts through church in the comfort of their home. I treat your pets as if they were my own. I’m able to walk your dogs, administer medicine and take note of their behavior. I always keep owners updated on how their pets are doing while they’re away unless they don’t want to be notified. I even send photos to keep owners updated and at ease. I’m currently working part time and have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets. Animals make me happy, and I love them. I currently don’t have a place that allows pets, but I’d be happy to take your pets to a park. I can also take them to a public walk path if a park is overwhelming and not a good fit.

About: I’ve been around and taken care of dogs of every kind my entire life basically. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me since I was a little girl to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I currently dog sit full time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available for boarding all seven days of the week at anytime of need! I have a spacious yard and two friendly female dogs(both spayed) to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
“Alex M. is our first Rover dog care provider in the Madison area. We moved from Indiana this past summer and were users of Rover for several years. Alex visited us twice before the day of her actual care. This was at our request because our dog has several personality quirks. She was professional and confident in approaching our dog and followed our suggested guidelines. Her second visit was without our presence and she made several suggestions based on her solo visit. We made the changes and the day of her multiple visits went well for our dog and for Alex. We highly recommend her to care for your dog!”

The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Cold Spring is $20

Dina is absolutely wonderful! Shmoe can be very skittish arpund new people, so to hear that she came up for a sniff and played with the laser toy was amazing. Dina updated every day with new pictures and awesome stories. I think it's hilarious that Shmoe was so protective over her water bowl! She really is a good guard dog 😁 Thank you Dina, for bringing in our packages and taking care of our sweet girl. You're awesome!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
