“Tiffani is literally the BEST!! She always goes above and beyond with our babies while we are away. We will always choose Tiffani to enter our home and take care of our kitties while we are away.”

“Anna T. was absolutely wonderful ❤️ She was so kind to all of us. She was immediately able to connect with our ginger 3 year old boy. Updates were prompt and detailed. She proactively asked great questions at our intro meeting.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, whether that be my own, my neighbors, or my grandparents. I’ve worked in a doggy daycare for 3 years, walking, feeding and giving potty breaks to the dogs and of course playing with them! Through daycare I have gained experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages. From young and full of energy to older and gentle. I’ve had experience handling high energy dogs as well as reactive dogs. Working in a professional setting has taught me how to read dog body language and manage playgroup safely. I know how tough it is to be away from your pet, I miss mine everyday when I’m away at school, so I will be sure to take lots of photos of your cute furry family member and follow whatever routines you have for feeding, training, medication, exercise, etc. I’m currently working part-time, mostly nights and some afternoons so I’ll have plenty of time for your furry family members! My work schedule is set in stone for the summer, meaning I know exactly what my availability is weeks in advance. This makes it easy for me to plan my shifts around my pet-sitting commitments and ensures I can offer your pup consistent, reliable care without any surprise conflicts. I am dedicated to caring for your pets in whatever setting and way makes you and your furry family member most comfortable! If you prefer care at my place, please note that I live in an upper-level apartment with roommates and do not have a fenced-in yard. However, because of my professional experience, I am extremely vigilant with leash safety, frequent potty breaks, and outdoor supervision. That being said, I completely understand that many pets thrive best in their own familiar environment. If your home is where they feel safest, then that is exactly where I will be to keep them happy, loved, and on their normal routine!
About: Worked at a dog kennel and also fostering dogs for 14 years. Will work with problematic dogs. I can also provide baths and nail trims as well. I currently work at night so I could do appointments up until like 2pm depending on location or 1pm I work Monday through Friday. My work hours at my full-time job is 3 PM till 1 AM. Weekends are open I can only provide care for dogs in the owners homes. Willing to stay overnight with them or just check in on them can do that around my work schedule. A little bit more flexibility for hours there.

About: I have an 8 year old coonhound named Trigger. He is the light of my life. I love to care for family and friends dogs in my free time. I work 50% from home and 50% in the office. I am off Saturday through Monday. I have the flexibility needed to provide care as needed. I have an incredibly friendly and easy going coonhound named Trigger. In his older age, he has become quite the couch potato. In his younger years, he loved going to doggy day care to romp around. We have a large unfenced yard for dogs to enjoy.

“I was very at ease leaving my cats with Samantha. I did not have to worry about their well being at all. Samantha is dependable and made sure my cats were fit (they are almost 15) and fed. I definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve always had a dog within my household. I had a childhood dog when I was two and she lived for 14 years. She taught me a lot about being a dog owner and was the best dog. After losing her my family got two more dogs since it was hard not having a dog, we’ve now had them for 4.5 years. I worked at a petting farm for 3.5 years and had a lot of experience with different animals and also puppies since we had raised puppies there. At the petting farm I also worked with cats and got some experience with them. I currently work at a dog kennel and we also have cats there too. I’ve learned how to fully take care of cats, cleaning litter and the boarding rooms, feeding them, giving them medicine, and grooming them by brushing them or wiping their faces. Overall I know how to work with dogs of all ages and cats, and I love being around either of the two! :) Im currently working a part time job, I will have a lot of availability until around mid May. After May I should be flexible with any day and hours! I also plan on leaving my job in August since the kennel will be shutting down so I can fully commit to the dogs on Rover then! :) I take my dogs on walks as much as I can. My parents mainly take care of them since I am a full time student at UWW and I’m only home on the weekends. I also make sure they have food and water 24/7, I let them out as much as possible since they love being outside too even if it’s not going potty, and I give them a lot of attention anytime I see them. I do spoil my dogs a lot too and I would do the same with any dogs I meet! :)

About: I am always happy when I see a dog. I can go on long walks or be patient and slow paced for senior dogs. And am very good at following instructions and being on task. I'm a carpenter so I normally work 7-4. Sometimes my schedule gets effected by the weather and I have more time on my hands. But I'm available after work during the week and on most weekends. I normally do residential work so I'm very respectful of other people property. I like to leave things cleaner then when I got there. Also I can handle multiple pets if need be.
“I can't recommend Jennifer as a sitter enough -- she goes above and beyond, taking care of my kitty, communicating promptly, etc. I always know my Magnum is in excellent hands with her, which is very comforting!”
“Alyssa went above and beyond expectations! Our furry kids were extremely well cared for and received amazing attention. They were clearly very happy to have Alyssa as their car giver!! Highly recommend and will use again! Thanks, Alyssa!”

About: I have grew up with dogs all my life and now take care of one with epilepsy. I can handle high energy and high strong very well. If you need aquarium care, I have a lot of experience with freshwater and saltwater, including reef, aquariums. I grew up raising and taking care of chickens. I can do pet check-ins and walks any day this summer and for multiple days in a row if needed. I will be less available if you live more than 10 miles away. I will follow any instructions to the tee and make sure to respect your home if I need to come in. If your pet is particularly stubborn, let me know and I can bring some high value treats to help build some trust.
“Alysha is the best! This has been a busy out of town season for us as we travel frequently to watch our daughter compete at college swim meets. Alysha has been there for us and we could not be more thankful for her care of Lola while we are away.”

“Tori was absolutely fantastic! She jumped in to help last minute when I unexpectedly adopted a dog and even came the same day to meet so she knew where everything would be. I'm so grateful for her flexibility and support. Communication was fantastic and she adapted to my new dog's needs. Highly recommend!”

About: I've had all types of animals my whole life and loved every minute of it! My parents have a farm with goats, chickens, 3 dogs and 3 cats giving me the ultimate pet care experience you would want for your own fur baby. I work from home part time doing paperwork for a local realtor which gives me ample time during the week to care for your pet! I have years of experience with all types of animals including ones labeled as aggressive, I care and love all animals the same and treat them as if they are my own!

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life from family dogs to neighborhood dogs. From walks to just potty breaks I can provide the best care. I am currently training my own puppy to be the best hunting companion. He has learned to love his kennel and that it is his quiet space. I work part time Monday through Wednesday I am home by 2pm but need time to let my own puppy have some outside time. Thursday and Friday I am home all day other than the occasional appointments. I am able to spend up to two hours with your pet getting the wiggles out or learning some of the basics. Weekends are my family time so I am mostly unavailable other than a random Saturday if my partner ends up working. At my home we are fenced in on 3 sides from neighbors but I have a tie out available. At your home I am comfortable with crates or not and Im willing and able to clean up any mess your furry companion may make. I am comfortable with walking with a harness or not.
About: You’re off to enjoy your vacation, let your pet enjoy one of their own while you’re away! We are Alexis & Jess! Jess is a professional groomer with nearly 10 years experience grooming dogs of all shapes and sizes. Interested in getting your dog a spa day while they're here? She does in home grooming and does an excellent job! References available upon request. Alexis is an exhibitor and breeder of AKC American Akitas with 8 years of experience raising and showing dogs across the southeast. Both Alexis & Jess have training experience under their belts and have worked in dog rescue, shaping behavior and temperaments of dogs of many breeds and sizes. In our home, your dog will be treated as one of our own. We live on a quiet 1. 8 acre property with an acre of that securely fenced with a 6 foot privacy fence. We do have resident dogs, but they will not have access to nor come in contact with your pet staying with us! Given the breeds we own and our background in rescue and rehab, we are not strangers to powerhouse breeds, tougher temperaments or special needs dogs who need some time to adjust to new people or surroundings. Given our opposite work schedules, one of us is home almost all the time, so your dog will be in our company for most of his/her stay. Dogs are our world. We know how important they are in the lives of those who have them. Speaking from experience, we understand how nerve wracking and difficult it can be trusting someone enough to leave your dogs with them. It's something we struggled with for a long time, finding the right person to care for our own dogs in our absence.. we were fortunate enough to find a rockstar - so we hope that we can be that person for someone else!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
