“Latoya is great! Arlo loves his stay with her and her pups ! She is very observant and keeps you up to date via photos and videos of them in walks and relaxing at home! I love watching them hang out and it definitely keeps me at ease while I’m at work ! Arlo usually does not want to leave his friends and is sleepy once he gets home!”

“Smoke loves coming to hang out with Kim. She's great with him and I have piece of mind every visit. Kim sends lots of pics and vids too. She's great!!! I'll def be booking with her again.”

“I had a last minute event come up and needed a next day sitter for Coco. Roxsand was very accommodating though it was last minute. She adjusted her schedule for us even though I was at her house at 6am. Roxsand also sent several photos of Coco throughout the day. I'm very appreciative of her time, care and professionalism and Coco looks forward to coming back very soon for more fun! Thank you!”

“After our meet and greet with Toni and Diego, my fur babies, Eva and Ezra enjoyed their first daycare today with Toni and Diego. Eva and Ezra had a great day and can’t wait until next time with their new cousin Diego.”

“Aja did everything a dog parent could ask for in caring for our two Bichons while we ran some errands. We loved the updates and photos she sent and took care of one dog’s “accidents” without a complaint. She is a pro and we would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Elizabeth is very nice. She even sent us pictures of our puppy when they went out for a walk. She is flexible with the drop-off and pickup times which was really convenient. Highly recommended!”

“Max was really nice and good with my dogs, one of my dogs is really nervous around strangers and she was comfortable around him, my dogs seemed happy and relaxed when we picked them up.”

“I cannot recommend Melissa enough! From the very first booking, she has been reliable, communicative, and incredibly attentive to my dog’s needs. The updates, photos, and videos she sends always give me peace of mind and make it clear that my puppy is not just being watched, he is genuinely being cared for and loved. Archie absolutely adores her and gets excited every time he sees her. She creates a safe, fun, and engaging environment, and it’s obvious that she treats every dog in her care like family. Melissa goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What truly sets her apart is the extra effort and thoughtfulness she puts into caring for the dogs. For Archie’s first birthday, she hosted a birthday celebration with the other dogs in her care. Seeing him celebrated with treats, friends, and adorable photos was such a great feeling and meant so much to our family. It was one of those moments that reminded me how fortunate we are to have found someone who genuinely loves what she does. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, responsive, and will care for your dog as if they were her own, look no further. We are so grateful to have found her, and Archie is always excited for his next visit.”

About: Good day! Kirk here and I am a retired Airforce veteran with plenty of time. I have been training and caring for fur babies of all sizes since I was the age of nine. From family pets to friends and coworkers. I truly enjoy all animals but dogs have my heart. You can trust that your pup will be safe and cozy with me for however long you need, including extended services. All the dogs in my photos are from other clients and family. The puppies are all healthy and all have homes now. We may be expecting another litter soon. I am currently working a flex schedule so I have plenty of time to spend with pups. I am retired and I run my own business so pups are a peaceful addition to my work day. I set my own schedule weekly so I have plenty of time to look after fur babies throughout the week and also for extended stays / services.
“Sereniti is so sweet you can tell she loves the fur babies. My 3 month old puppy Maverick had a great time. She kept me updated with pics and texts. I won’t hesitate to use her again. Thank you.”

About: Recently married and paying off bills! If you have animal needs, I'm your girl! I've had cats and dogs my whole life. All kinds of breeds-mostly huge ones🤣 husky, chow, labs. I currently swap pet care with a neighbor, so I figured why not sign up for Rover! She said she used to do it, and she enjoyed Rover. It gives me a dopamine boost every time I get to see the fur babies. I'll treat them just as my own. I work from home, so with enough notice, I can make time to make runs out to care of your pets! I am in Temple Hills - very nearby is easiest. I usually immediately let out the dogs or walk the dogs. Then I feed them. While they are eating, I will do whatever needs to be done such as filling water bowls, cleaning up messes, etc. Then once they are done, I give lots of hugs or play depending on the doggie needs. Some dogs just want to sit under my feet and sleep while I'm at the counter or some dogs have all the energy in the world. Cats tend to just be cats 🤣 I had a cat that requires injections, so long as the dog or cat tolerates, I can do shots, oral or topical meds.
“We had a great experience with Roderick and his family. Since our dog is still pretty new to us, we were a little unsure how he’d do, but he warmed up to them so quickly. It was clear he was comfortable and well cared for the whole time. Roderick and his family were kind, welcoming, and treated him like one of their own. We’d definitely book with them again and highly recommend them!”

“Prince was happy to see Rubi at drop off even though it has been a while. It made me smile to watch him walk away at drop-off with his “happy trot”. Rubi is always great with sharing updates and videos. We’ll definitely book again.”

About: I have had a numerous amount of pets growing up and I’ve always enjoyed caring for them. I enjoy paying attention to their likes and dislikes as well as ways to keep them entertained and make sure they know they are loved. My parents relied on me the most when taking care of our pets because I am responsible and handle with care when dealing with animals. I am currently on summer break for a short amount of time from college. Did not want to get a job but still wanted to make extra income on the side of summer classes. If pets have a routine I stick to that routine. I plan to play, walk, feed pet when acquired along with giving it my full attention. Cleaning up is also a big part of what I do so, after playing with toys room will be left neatly.

I work part-time , so I have plenty of time to care for your pups. Sunny had an amazing time at daycare! He truly didn’t want to leave, which says everything about how comfortable and happy he was. I received multiple pictures throughout the day, which I really appreciated. It gave me peace of mind seeing how much fun he was having. Toni's yard is spacious and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect and safe place for the dogs to play. Sunny especially enjoyed spending time with his new friend Diego, who is so calm and sweet. I will absolutely be booking again for both daycare and overnight stays. Highly recommend!

Such a sweet person! We had her watch our puppy while we were in DC for a couple days trips and we didn’t want him to be locked up all day. He definitely was in good hands. Updated periodically about how he was doing, he was very excited the second day he spent with her, walked right up to her door :) we will definitely reach out to her again while we are in the area staying with family. Thank you so much!!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Clinton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
