âPaula did a wonderful job tending to OK (orange kitty) and Mr. Gray. We received daily notifications and photos. She even brought her own supply of cool water for them. Our minds were at ease knowing that she was taking care of them.â

âKatie is an exceptional animal caretaker. I highly recommend her services to anyone seeking proper care for their pets. Weâll definitely be using her services every time we can in the future.â

âTom was a superstar with our newly adopted, very shy 6 month old puppy. We only had the pup 2 weeks when Tom agreed to help us with a âlet outâ for crate training. This was not an easy task as the pup was still adjusting to his new home. Tom had patience and understanding with our pup and we appreciated it more than he knows. Tom was trustworthy and very attentive to the needs of our pup. His communication was stellar as well. We highly recommend Tom!!!!â

âFrançoise is amazing she is sweet, kind and just good hearted person. She was amazing to work with my dog was very comfortable! She was even able to work with my crazy changing schedule. Look forward to work with her again!â

âHannah was amazing. We were in town staying in an RV park and had to travel all day to a wedding. We worked it out that Hannah would drop by twice and let our fur baby out. She was prompt in arriving giving a check in and check out notice when she arrived and left and a report including pictures of the visit. My mind was completely at ease so I could enjoy the day. Thank you so much!!â

âKim was so great! Visits were consistent every day (which I know my cats appreciated), and many of the daily pictures she sent are so good I could frame them! I really enjoyed working with Kim and look forward to calling on her again the next time weâre out of town.â

âCarleen is terrific! She was on time, sent lots of pictures, was quick and proactive with her communications and even picked up our mail one day. We came home after two weeks to very happy kitties.â

About: I have grown up with all sorts of animals and currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats in my household. With that I am very confident in my ability to take care of animals and provide great great for them! I have experience in fostering, giving medicine to 5 week old kittens/elderly dogs and taking care of family/friends pets I just graduated college and am very flexible with my schedule now that I am home! Most days and times will work for me upon request :) With my pets at home I make sure that they always have a food and fresh water. I plan my schedule so that they have enough time to play outside/walk with them on my busy days. I always make sure they are healthy and keep up with any sicknesses that make occur. I have experience giving both an elderly dog and kitten medicine.
âCynthia was a great sitter! She was very communicative with me and sent me pictures of my cat while she was there. I felt like I didnât have to worry about him at all when I was away for Christmas! Absolutely will try to rebook with her anytime I have to leave town!â

About: I grew up in our farm owning & taking care of all kinds of animals. Fostered cats/dogs with Humane Societies in different states before we finally settled after military life. Growing up on a farm surrounded by animals, Iâve developed strong intuition to sense pets' unique needs; if they are feeling sick, anxious, etc. I can follow with your petâs medical needs/routine. Iâm home all day except for quick errands hence pets under my care get lots of human interactions, cuddles & play time. Frequent potty breaks. I believe in holistic lifestyle hence I use pet friendly; no harsh chemical cleaning supplies. Hygiene is super important to me. Old habits from my hospital volunteering days + Iâm a clean freak as per my family đ I'm a homemaker. I enjoy taking care of my indoor plants, garden, and our mini goldendoodle Hazel. I'm home majority of the day; hence your fur babies will get to have lots of cuddles, love, and playtime in our big fenced in yard. We have lovely, clean & spacious home; hence pups get to have a lot of space/freedom to roam. Or retrieve if they want some space. No choking hazard toys. I love taking pictures, videos & update with your precious pooch. You can FaceTime your pets if itâs extended stay or as per need. I love making pets stay as comfortable as possible & giving peace of mind to owners. As a pet owner myself, I know how much small things matter! I've a huge fenced in yard, Hazel, our super friendly mini golden doodle would give a company to any dog & make them feel comfortable. Lots of play, cuddles & free to roam. However, I've an ability to gate off the rooms if it's needed, or as per request. I live near the lake & take my dog to daily AM/PM walks. As a pet owner, I know the anxiety of trying to find a safe home to fur babies, someone who'd love/care for them as their own.
About: Animals have been part of my life since I was little. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, lizards, fish. Our house was always full of them and that never really stopped. I have spent my whole life around all kinds of animals, watching them for friends and family, learning what they need, and genuinely loving every minute of it. Animals know. They know when someone is comfortable around them and they know when someone actually cares. I have always been someone they warm up to quickly because I take the time to actually see them. What makes them happy, what stresses them out, whether they want to play or just want someone nearby. I follow their lead every time. Every pet I care for gets treated like my own. I am semi-retired and my schedule is genuinely flexible. Mornings, midday, evenings, multiple visits in a day if that is what your pet needs. Pet care is not something I am squeezing in between other things. It is something I actually want to be doing. I am semi-retired and my schedule is genuinely flexible. âGarrett was awesome! He was very communicative from the beginning and was on time and attentive to our cats' needs every day. One of our boys had a little accident and he went out of his way and cleaned it up! Would definitely recommend him and will use him again in the future!â

âStephanie just did a quick drop in with Ranger one weekend when we were gone for the day! She was very responsive, flexible, and great at communicating the details of the visit! Would definitely hire again.â

About: Hello everyone! I have been pet sitting on and off for over 10 years. I started pet sitting for neighbors and friends when I was 14 and continued throughout highschool and college. Based on my own availability, I can provide day check-ins , walks, overnights, medications, and specific/special dietary needs. I work as a dental assistant and am currently taking classes to go to hygiene school. I would love to be trusted to watch your pet for you, I love animals, which is the reason I began pet sitting in the first place. I currently work as a dental assistant and am also taking classes to go to dental hygiene school in the near future. I work full time, however I have one day off every week, never work weekends, and my bosses are very easy to work with when it comes to the work schedule. I always follow the instructions given to me by the owners, and donât stray away from those guidelines. I do walks when needed, and also spend a little bit of time with the animals to keep them company while their parents are away. I will cuddle with any pet that wants, but also give space for the ones that donât. Iâm very big on paying attention and reading an animals energy in order to make sure they are happy and comfortable, and also making sure all parties will be safe in the process as well.

âDamacia was very prompt in communication, friendly, and left us detailed notes and pictures when dropping in on our dogs. Will definitely use again when needed!â

âJordan is quite possibly the best pet sitter ever. My cats are always so calm when I come home; you can tell she really spends time with them and cares for them. We always use her whenever weâre out of townâ

âI highly recommend Amy. I was extremely pleased with the communication and response time when I messaged her. She kept me updated on Stella and Poppy and how they were doing all week. It really put my mind at ease and I was confident the kitties were in good hands. Loved the pictures, too! Amy, thank you so much for caring for my girls like you would care for your own fur babies. I would definitely book with you again and Iâll recommend you to friends. â¤ď¸â

Cat sitters on Rover care for your catsâ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, donât forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clayville. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
