“Cali's care for our cats means the world to me. She is actually one of the only people outside my immediate family that one of my cats comes out for. Not just comes out- but is excited to see. It's clear she really loves kitties and is just as excited as we are about the cute biscuit making/purring things they do. All of our cats love her so much, they don't even look sad while we are gone. She is timely and always takes care of the house as well.”

“Sarah did a wonderful job keeping our pup company while we were out with family. She took several photos and did a great job of letting us know how the visit went. We will definitely be booking her again in the future! 😊”

“Wow! She went above and beyond for my husband and I. She drove 30 minutes (both ways!!!) to bring my two dogs to our wedding venue. Not only that but she watched my parents 3 dogs right after. 5 dogs total and she was wonderful. She kept us updated throughout the day and made my wedding day even more special.”
“Jaclyn was so helpful and kind! She accepted my booking the same day I needed services, which I truly appreciated. This was my first booking through the app, and I was genuinely impressed with how smooth and easy the experience was thanks to her. Highly recommend!”

About: I currently work at a veterinarian clinic and deal with all types or breeds and temperaments. I have worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I would help with playgroups, walks, medication administration, and bathing. I have helped with potty and crate training, including my own dogs. I have a crate and rotate situation in my own home, so I understand that not all dogs can be around others. I would help on my days off at the vet clinic. I am always off on Sundays and major holidays. I would also try to fit any pet care on my days I work as well. I have a crate and rotate situation in my home. I know to take extra care to make sure my non dog friendly dog is up prior to letting any others out. I double check to make sure the crate doors are latched. I also make sure my own gate is closed because I would hate for one of my dogs to get out.
About: I have always taken care of family pets, and within the last 3 years have opened up to family friends, and their friends who looked for pet care. I do not limit myself to just cats and dogs, I can care for more exotic animals such as ferrets, turtles, reptiles, rabbits, etc. I am able to administer medications as needed. Pet sitting is a big part of my schedule. I have spent up to 3 weeks caring for family pets, both overnights and drop ins. Although I have the families I love to care for, I am excited to meet some friendly faces and give more love to! I care for peoples pets preferably in their own homes. I always like to do a meet-and-greet following up to my stays/visits. I always follow how parents ask for me to care for each pet to keep them in a routine they know and love.
“Caitlin has provided drop in visits for our dog and cat for multiple trips. She is easy to work with and great with our pets. It's nice to know your pets are in good hands while we are away!”

About: I’ve worked with both cats and dogs in a humane shelter setting for multiple years, and I’m ready to meet and get to know your pet! I work full-time but mostly weekends and evenings. I have most weekdays off of work and am always available for a morning check-in for your pet. I am able to move pets between rooms and crate animals if needed in your home. I do not host pets for boarding at my own home.
About: I’m in college studying biology with a concentration in veterinary science. I plan to be a veterinarian. I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I also have 2 rabbits. I am a big animal lover and will treat your dog just like my own. I currently work part time, so I do not work everyday of the week and my shifts are typically no longer than 6 hours. I have a lot of free time throughout the week. I have grown up with small to medium dogs. I can handle small to medium dogs. I can accommodate to however you would like me to handle your dog.

“Sarah was amazing at coming in & helping me give medications to our two cats when my husband was out of town. Great communication + on time. Would definitely choose Sarah again for any Rover needs in the future!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Victoria communicated well, provided lots of photos and my cat adores her! I was nervous as this was my first time using Rover, but Victoria put me at ease and made sure my fur baby was well cared for. I highly recommend her and I will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I have had dog and cats for the past 15 years. I had a calico cat that had diabetes and a GSD with problems. They have since passed away . So now we have 1 year old litter mate GSD that are my world. Also 3 cats to make our house like a Zoo!!! I currently work full.time and usually off by 230pm with Friday and Sundays off. I can easily stop in or stay with the dog or cat overnight. Lots of snuggles and whatever the animals needsand require. Daily walks or just watching TV or playing. Daily feedings and water changes. Making sure they are safe.
“Ben was awesome, very nice, caring and knowledgeable. We felt comfortable letting Ben into our home to care for our animals while we were away. We will forsure be using him again in the future.”
About: I’ve been animal sitting since I was a teen. With experience sitting dogs, cats, chinchillas, sugar gliders, ferrets, and more, I personally guarantee your pet will have a good time hanging out with me for a bit while their human is away. :) I work a full-time job remotely. This allows me plenty of flexibility to work with my clients and ensure their animals have the attention they deserve. I’ve done animal sitting mostly at the clients’ homes. This helps your animals stay cozy in the space they call home. I have an intake form each new client will submit so all your wants for your pets are listed and will be honored!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
