We had Daniela watch our babies while we went to the Grand Canyon over night. This gal did a amazing job communicating with every visit in taking care of them. We were very pleased with her care and will continue using her for all of our pups daycare needs. Couldn't be happier.

About: Hello! my name is Zoie. I have 1 year of work experience and have done volunteer work for local shelters and have fostered since high school. I can help with pet transportation / sitting and pet walking. I am a pet owner myself, owning both cats and dogs and been around pets my whole life. I started working with animals when I was in high school with my mother fostering kittens then eventually started volunteering with different local shelters. I am currently between jobs, so I will be able to devote my whole time and attention to the care of your pets and their needs. Unfortunately boarding and related services will not work as I am currently living in a mobile home. You can trust I'll treat and respect your pets like they were my own.

About: Hi! I have enjoyed the company of pets since I was a young girl. As an adult, I have had both adopted dogs and cats in my home for more than two decades. I have trained puppies and cared for older dogs/cats in pain towards the end of life. My beloved Sandy girl passed 4 years ago at 13 1/2 years old, but I have kept her profile on this app. Due to traveling/work I have not had an animal for the past four years. I have really missed the unconditionally loving company! I work part-time, so I am relatively flexible to walk and care for your sweet dog or cat. I’m looking for a friendly, calm, well trained pup, as well as sweet, kindly natured cats. So I’m offering to walk your dog, and care for your cat, since I am really missing a pet in my life. I try to get my pet-fix in by visiting the pet stores on adoption days, and say hi to dogs I meet on my walks in the neighborhood, but it doesn’t quite make up for it. Having used this Rover app for dog sitting of my own dog some years ago, I found this would be a good way to connect with you and your lovely pet. My specialty is walking your dog with 100% attention, without texting or being on my phone simultaneously. I’ve always found this to be so important, to actually spend quality time together during the walks. I love cats as well, and I would be very happy to come and care for your kitty/kitties. Furthermore, I might be able to pet sit at your home when you are gone.

About: Taking care of pets is what is paying my way through college. All through highschool I walked, groomed, babysat, and trained every dog in my neighoorhood. I have yet to meet an animal that doesn't love me as much as I love them! I’m currently getting my master’s degree at SJSU, and use Rover as a way to make ends meet, while also getting to hang out with some awesome dogs and cats! I only have classes on Tuesday and Thursday, and a one hour class from 5-6 on Mondays. Other than that, I would love to take care of your pet’s needs. Your pets are my biggest priority, day or night! I completely understand the need to have someone in your own home to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. I’ve house-sat and pet-sat more times than I could ever count. I’m a big runner and hiker, so if you have an energetic animal, I’ll make sure they get all the excessive they need! I am currently living in shared housing, and cannot take dogs to my home, but I would love to make your pet as comfortable as possible in their own home!

About: I have most of my experience caring for dogs, but I also have experience watching cats as well. Along with caring for my own dog, I currently help look after three other family dogs that I live with. My responsibilities include feeding, daily walks and hikes, vet visits, administering post-surgery care, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Most of my pet sitting experience has been through friends and family. I’ve stayed overnight at clients’ homes to care for two adult dogs at a time, especially when owners wanted someone present with the dogs as much as possible. I did this over a couple of summers for stays lasting around 1–2 weeks at a time. I also regularly help care for a family member’s mini poodle while they travel, either by bringing her to my home or stopping by for potty breaks, feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m very passionate about caring for animals and always try to treat every pet the same way I would treat my own. My goal is to make pets feel loved, well cared for, comfortable, and active while their owners are away. I currently work for a high school, which gives me much more flexibility during the summer months. I will also be working another part-time job that has a flexible schedule, so I am available most days of the week for pet care. Because of my flexible availability, I’m able to spend quality time with pets throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I always try to make sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and attended to while their owners are away. When caring for pets in my own home, safety and comfort are very important to me. While I’m at work, my dogs stay in a secure fenced backyard with multiple shaded areas, a small kiddie pool with water for drinking or cooling off, and toys to keep them entertained. They are usually outside during the day when no one is home, but once I or another family member returns, they are allowed back inside. On weekends, when I’m home more often, they are free to go in and out of the house as they please. They sleep indoors on their own beds at night, although I don’t mind pets sleeping near me if that is what they are comfortable with. When caring for other people’s pets, I always make sure to follow the owner’s instructions and routines as closely as possible. If pets are normally kept indoors during the day, I would stop by for potty breaks, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. If a dog does not have a fenced yard or cannot safely be off leash, I would make sure they stay leashed and supervised at all times. I’m also happy to take pets on walks or transport them elsewhere if needed for exercise or bathroom breaks. If an owner is comfortable with their dog staying at my home, I can provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for them there as well.

About: Caring for animals has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of pets, including chickens, snakes, hamsters, parakeets, and litters of cats and dogs. I’ve personally rehabilitated numerous cat and dog rescues, providing consistent care and support to help them heal and thrive. My volunteer experience includes caring for cats at PetSmart and working at an animal sanctuary for farm animals. I approach every pet I care for with love, attention, and respect, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. As a remote worker, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide excellent pet care. If there is stable internet, I can accommodate overnight visits even on weekdays. My workday ends at 2:30 PM, giving me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to focus on pets' needs. In both my home and my client's home, I bring my deep love for animals to every aspect of care, prioritizing safety, trust, and a nurturing environment. I meticulously ensure all areas are secure and free of hazards while adhering to specific safety instructions from pet owners. My genuine affection for pets drives me to be consistent, attentive, and responsive to their needs, respecting their routines and maintaining open communication with their owners for regular updates. I create a calming and enriching environment, keeping their usual routines, providing engaging activities, and showering them with the affection they deserve. My passion for animals ensures they feel loved, secure, and well-cared for, whether in my home or theirs.

About: I love my experiences with my canine friends, and felines too. I have been the primary care person for numerous furry friends though my life although not currently. I have enjoyed numerous pet sitting jobs, including for elderly and crippled dogs, here in the Verde Valley and have a pet-friendly vehicle for potential nature hikes. Since I am retired, it's easy to program my personal interests (writing, web programming, music editing, reading) amongst the needs of my clients, human and non. I bring them outside if appropriate, feed them as wanted, medicines as required, walking, talking, petting, playing, and give them personal space as they may prefer.

About: I love animals and have always had dogs, cats, fish, snakes, turtles, you name it! I am ex military and LE, trustworthy, and understand how stressful finding quality pet care can be! I've pet sat many times before without issues! I am respectful and clean and communicative. 😊 I am on an intentional break from work, mental reset after LE, looking for extra cash and animal therapy before my next career starts - this fits the bill! I have time and reliable transportation for your beloved pets! I love playing with pups and getting them exercise! I have 2 large rambunctious pups at home, one of which is an unfixed male, so dogs in and out of my house isnt a good idea. More than enough space and time for reptiles or smaller caged animals like birds and rodents!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Clarkdale stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clarkdale. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
