When I am house sitting over having a daily stay I make your home like my new "base". I may need to go out for errands or other dog jobs but otherwise my other jobs will allow me to stay in.

How your dog/s handles new people and if they have had a sitter before. If possible I like to know how cautious a meet and greet should go the first time. If you're dog has bit or nipped at others or you before. How often or severe that may have been.
A typical day
I would love to take your pup on one of my hikes in the Sedona area, or even just to a nearby park. I love the dog park in Cottonwood if you do live nearby. When the weather is right I try and make sure they get all the outside time they could want! On hot or rainy days playing inside can be just as fun.

I've been told I'm a cheerful and easygoing type of person, I do try and enjoy each day and go in with a positive point of view. Being able to watch over your lovely animal companions is not just a job for me but something I really love doing. Getting to know them and all the little quirks and personalities brings me joy. That care for their well being might be why I decided to be a vegetarian over 15 years ago (I completely believe dogs/cats/etc need a meat diet so I have no issues handling any sort of food for them). I'm quick to learn and great with following directions so if there's some special care needed that is not a deal-breaker for me. I have very few deal-breakers, as I don't discriminate on breed or size of dog. I do try and see if I can be a good fit for more 'challenging personalities' but ask that precautions are taken if you are unsure. For example, have an idea about how your dog reacts to someone new entering their home/space and if there's anything I would need to know beforehand. Drop-Ins/Walks are the primary services I offer at this time. House Sitting is on a limited offer as well as daily stays with the knowledge exact arrival and end times will need to be flexible. Watering plants is not extra cost, unless it's quite excessive. I also accept "exotic" animals. Reptiles/"farm animals"/small rodents/etc. Price can depend on care, again likely not extra cost, but would need to be discussed.

I've used Mel's services multiple times for long and short trips. I feel very confident leaving my pets and home in Mel's care for drop-ins when I travel.
Mel has dropped in on my dog and cat multiple times, sometimes at short notice and on several holidays. Everything has always worked out perfectly and I appreciate all the photo updates.
Mel was God send for our family. My mom had to go into assisted living. She had two cats that needed special attention due to my mom's inability to care for them. Mel was able to socialize these sweet kitties. Mel went the extra mile when one of them became sick. She cared for her like she was her own. You cannot ask for a better companion for your pets!!! Thank you Mel!
Mel did a recent overnight sit for us, on a holiday. She was courteous and attentive at our meet and greet. She listened to our needs and followed our instructions for the car of our 2 yellow labs. Our house was neat and tidy upon our return. We feel that Maggie and Ellie were well cared for and loved by her in our absence. Great experience.
