About: Besides caring for my own dog for nearly 13 years, including nearly a year of hospice care, I also have experience volunteering at animal sanctuaries and cat-sitting for roommates and neighbors. I consider companion animals to be family members, and the care I provide reflects that belief. I work from home, and my schedule is flexible, so I’m easily able to accommodate anything an animal in my care needs, any time of day. Because I work remotely, I’m able to keep your dog or cat company all day while house-sitting. I'll stay at your home so your pets can keep their normal routine, environment, and yard. For drop-ins and walks, my flexible schedule allows me to stop by multiple times for walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, or just hanging out. About: I am a 4th year animal science major who Grew up on a farm taking care of all animals from cattle and horses to dogs and cats! I’ve also worked at a vet clinic for 4 years. I am currently working at the uc Davis equestrian center and a student at uc Davis! I have a very flexible work schedule and can work around classes. About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was a little girl. Big, small, fluffy, energetic, you name it, i’ve done it. My family is full of animal lovers and I want to spread that love to other people’s animals as well. I have had every variaron of dog you can think of and they’re always my best friend. I do love cats as well, especially if they’re cuddly! My parents gave me responsibility of walking, feeding and bathing our dogs ever since I was 10-11 years old and I’ve loved doing it ever since. I currently work part time and am a student at UCDavis! I am graduating this year so I will have pretty open availability in the summer. My most free days are Wednesday-Thursday, with some availability on the weekends. I currently have a German Shepherd and she is an amazing dog. I try to take her on a a walk at least once a day and save time to play with her in our yard when I get home. When it comes to clients home's, I am a very quick learner and comfortable with doing what care is needed requested by the owners for each pet.

About: I have 5years working experience with both large and small domestic/captive animals. This, along with my education at UCD, has helped me gain utmost confidence in reading an animal’s body language and behaving in ways they can be comfortable with me. I am a big fan of enrichment, so I am all for anything you’re willing to try for your pet that can get their minds stimulated! I’m detail oriented and skilled at maintaining whatever level of energy your pet needs. I’m currently working full time at a farm animal sanctuary and have the flexibility to walk or drop in on your pup between 6a-11a and from 9p-overnight as needed I have a 1bed apartment and a friendly golden that is trained to be around reactive dogs. I love to visit nearby parks and green belts, so rest assured your pet will have the sniff of a lifetime!

About: Some people innately connect with animals. Maybe this cannot be taught or learned. Even those animals who "don't like anyone" like me. It's a gift. Perhaps they can tell I'm a gentle giant and it makes them feel safe and protected. Whether cat or dog or some other creatures, I will lavish affection and attention on them (if they're into that). Or simply let them call the shots until they're ready to warm up a bit more. As a large, fit dude, I can manage even the strongest dogs, but I'm nimble and delicate with the smaller ones and cats. It comes naturally, and your pets will sense it. Summertime affords more flexibility for me as a teacher. I do have another PT gig currently on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the afternoons. But I'm mostly available the other 5 days for now, and am willing to spend time with your pets before and after shifts on days I work. For many years, I've cared for dozens of friends' pets. I’m flexible and always happy to follow your pets’ specific routines, needs, and preferences. When I stay in a client’s home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own. My priority is keeping your pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure they receive their meals on schedule, fresh water, regular potty breaks, walks, play and enrichment, and plenty of affection and companionship. I pay attention to their individual personalities and needs, whether they want lots of activity and attention or prefer a quieter, more relaxed day. I do leave the house periodically for my own errands, walks, or activities, but I make sure your pets receive dedicated one-on-one time throughout the day and aren’t simply left alone for long periods. About: I have a great deal of common sense which is really helpful. I have also been around many types of animals since childhood and I enjoy them. I have very flexible schedule and I'm an early riser. This makes me available more often to care for your pet/s. I also enjoy them a great deal I'm aware of my surroundings and I am considerate. My common Sense comes in handy when caring for pets and a clients household. It's a joy to work with animals.

“I took an extended/long-distance trip in December and this was the first trip I've ever taken without my cat. I was quite anxious to leave him home alone, especially with the recent passing of his cat sibling. I booked drop-in visits with Rachel and she was great! I really appreciated the time that she spent with my cat. I could tell that she was very attentive and caring toward him. I also loved the selfies/pictures she sent during most of the drop-in visits. I could tell that he was happy having a visitor! Rachel also offered to drop-in on an additional day if my flight was cancelled, which was very kind. About: I have had a variety of animals always in my life. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and rodents. (All of which I've had at some point) I have also worked for a rescue charity for 7+ years which resulted in having learned basic and emergency care, as well as administration of medication. I am retired and looking to fill my time with love and cuddles. I have always enjoyed caring for the variety of animals I have and have had.
