“This was our first time needing a sitter for our 2 pups and our very 1st time using Rover. Because our 9mo old puppies are VERY BIG (Great Dane / English Mastiff) and super high energy, we originally were planning on booking them separately so they wouldn't be so hard to manage to someone who has never been around them. Jacob had mentioned he has experience with high energy dogs and having the 2 would not be a problem. We did a meet and greet and my puppies, as BIG as they are with all the high puppy energy, once again assured me he is comfortable watching the two of them if we wanted to keep them together. Jacob was very accommodating through the entire process of us booking. We had to make a change from boarding to housesitting right before our trip. He was 100% willing to make whatever changes we asked and made the process so easy. We were so appreciative of all the updates and pictures throughout the weekend. My husband and I were able to enjoy our sons wedding and had no worries about our puppies. Upon arriving home it felt so good to walk in and the house be as clean as we left it. About: I have had pets for as long as I remember! From cats, to dogs to reptiles and almost everything in between. I currently have 2 dogs- one pug and one red heeler who are the highlight of days. I'm familiar with having to provide supplements and medications on a set schedule, and enjoy taking my pups for long walks to let them sniff around to their hearts content. I currently work remotely Monday- Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. I have limited morning availability but the afternoons and evenings I have open availability I do have a smaller fully fenced in yard that is over 6 feet in height. I live in a neighborhood that is great for walks as traffic is very limited!
“Colton house sat and took care of our 2 dogs for 5 days while we were out of state. It was a very last minute booking and he was very flexible and prompt. I was very impressed with how willing he was to make things work and easier for us. He not only showed up on time for our meet and greet but was actually early! We had a change in our departure plans from the night before at 6p.m to instead the morning of at 5 a.m and he without any hesitation was ok with that and was here at the agreed time of 4a.m. We have 1 senior dog that needs medicine nightly and has major anxiety and our other dog who has IBD and allergic to so many things and also has a very strict diet. Even a crumb on the floor would set her into a major flare up if she got it so that was a concern for us. He was definitely very careful because she never once got sick. He clearly eased their anxiety with us being gone because there was no damage done by them in the house. He followed all the instructions/restrictions for them and did a fantastic job. Any questions he had he reached out to us which was great because there were a couple little things that I forgot to mention (like no dogs on the furniture) and he asked us first rather than just assuming. Not only did he take care of our house and dogs he even fed and gave water to the outside cat that has chosen to adopted us. Taking care of a cat wasn't in the booking but he did it anyway out of the goodness of his heart. He was very transparent with us, respectful and the communication was great. I was not exactly looking forward to having to clean the house after getting home from our trip and having 2 dogs that shed like no other. However I didn't have to because the house was COMPLETELY spotless! I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciated that on top of everything else! Colton is so awesome and next time we go on a trip without the dogs he will be the first person we reach out to!”
