“Lauren was a fantastic dogsitter for Maggie (50-60 Lb German shepherd mix). She has 2 dogs about Maggie’s size that were very friendly and played well with her. She was very accommodating to pickup and drop off times, and made sure to respond to messages quickly. She provided photos and videos throughout the 7 day stay to calm our nerves about our dog, and made sure that our dog felt very at home the whole time. I will absolutely use Lauren for any future dog sitting!”

“Charlie had a wonderful time. He got treatment like home. Carl and Nancy are wonderful and they are taking great care of dogs. Charlie also had a lot of fun with theirs 3 very friendly dogs. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing and very thoughtful. We had an emergency last minute and had to leave town and Vanessa was able to care for our puppy and help leash train her. I would recommend her to anyone that asks me to.”

“Kerri is the absolute best! When my family and I were going through an emergency situation, she was always there, always kind, and helped us tremendously. I have complete peace of mind, knowing that my dog is being watched by Kerri. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!”
“My dog was lucky to stay with Colleen— Nala was treated like family among her dogs and people. We picked up a happy smiling dog today and I’m so grateful for Colleen’s care of my Nala.”

“Tracey was wonderful with our Pug and English Bulldog! We received pictures nearly daily during their week stay and it was so comforting to see them snuggle on the sofa or in the chair with them providing them the same love we would. I truly appreciated all of Tracey's updates and to see how well she treated our fur-babies really put our hearts and minds at ease. I would highly recommend her!”

“Fahriye and her husband were super amazing with our two, energetic little dogs! Our sitter originally canceled on us last minute the day before our trip and were extremely thankful they were able to watch Charlie and Gojo for us! She sent us updates while we were on our trip and the cutest photos! Doggies came home with a huge smile on their faces and took a huge, long quiet nap afterwards, which shows they definitely had a blast! Didn’t realize until I got home, but they even gifted us such a thoughtful, adorable dog waste bag holder with Charlie and Gojo’s name and face as a sticker from the photos she sent us! I was obsessed with these and switched it out the other one immediately lol. Would definitely book with them again! Thank you again guys!”

“Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! From the moment we booked, communication was excellent. Throughout our dog’s stay, we received frequent updates and adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our boy was not only safe but genuinely loved and cared for like family. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be booking again. Highly recommend!”

“So great. Zero loves coming here, he’s been boarded here many times. They respect your rules and boundaries & feeding preferences with your pet and they give him healthy attention.”

“I cannot say enough about Bruce and his attention to my Oreo. Bruce was extremely organized and attentive to my dog while I traveled. My mind was at ease knowing that he was in good hands. Bruce sent pictures multiple times a day and updates on Oreo’s adjustment while I was away. I will definitely use him again! Thanks Bruce!”

“Dee and her family did such an amazing job making my us feel comfortable leaving our pups at their house. They sent regular updates and made sure the girls were comfortable during their stay. We will definitely board our dogs with her again.”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my 16 week old puppy E.Z. with John. He has a closed in backyard and no other pets. He took very good care of E.Z. and I will use him again.”

“Tracy was great with our mini Dashhound twins! Took the Xmas task on short notice and kept them very well. She specializes in small breeds and gives them lots of TLC. Tracy runs a boutique puppy care. Personalized attention to your pets. Thank You Tracy!”

“Ive been a repeat client of Al’s for about 5 months now. I travel a lot so it was hard for me to find a sitter where I knew my fur baby was going to be well taken care of while i’m gone. But ive NEVER had a doubt with Al and Steph. My pup always feels at home with them. They send daily photos which give me peace of mind and even bathe her as needed. Al and Steph are very attentive and the love they provide every dog is unmatched. They are just simply the absolute best! I highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable and loving sitters!!”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Christmas home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
