“Fergus (our cat) loves Virginia. He never purrs for anyone the way he purrs for her. When we got home today after being away for several days, my husband heard Fergus meowing through the door before we entered and said to me, "I pretty sure he's meowing 'Virginia! Virginia!' He's going to be so disappointed that it's us!" Virginia is great with Fergus, very kind to us, and has been just a perfect pet sitter.”

“Damacia did a phenomenal job caring for our cat while we were away. The brief daily posts helped reassure us, and we were really able to enjoy our trip! Our kitty clearly loves Damacia, who seems to have quite a gift with animals. Fantastic!”

“5 stars for Kylie! She send detailed updates and anecdotes along with photos every day. She was prompt, polite, communicative, and so easy to work with. She went above and beyond to take care of my two cats. Would definitely book again!”

“Kay took excellent care of my 2 cats and my outdoor tomato plants while I was away for a long weekend. Cats were chill and happy upon my return. Kay communicated with me frequently and quickly. I didn't feel like I had to worry about anything while I was away.”

“Emili took great care of my two kitties- And when she noticed a potential problem one of them might have, she notified me right away - and all turned out just fine.”

“We had an excellent experience with Sydney! care of our cats while we were on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of our cats while we were on vacation. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our cats were well cared for and comfortable. We highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Cynthia did a fantastic job taking care of my cat! She made sure she always had water, a clean litter box, and a little play time. She updated me with each visit and gave a thorough report card to let me know how things were going. I would definitely recommend Cynthia as a cat sitter and book her for future trips.”

“As always, Jeffrey knocked it out of the park. We always feel so comfortable and confident heading out of town knowing that our babies (and house) will be perfectly cared for. He really goes the extra mile for the pups and with general tasks around the house and we really appreciate it. Communication of all events, big or small, is quick and clear. I’ll recommend him forever to anyone!!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of my babies! They seemed to love you and it makes me feel so much better about leaving them in your care while I’m away. 5 stars, no notes 💕”

“Erin was such a reliable and attentive cat sitter! I was relieved to see her details and specifics of the boys behavior with drop in visit notes. It helped me know my boys were in great hands. Thank you again Erin!!!!”

“Kayla was great, hung out and played with my cat and made sure everyone got fed & meds! She even washed the food plates instead of sticking them in the dishwasher. Thanks, Kayla!”

About: I am a pediatric physical therapist looking to dogsit on weekends or walk dogs. Walking or running with your dog(s) will allow me to stay active, and I am sure your pup will thank you for it! I get off on Fridays at 11:30AM and am free until Sunday nights at 10:00PM. My experience is fairly eclectic. I have fostered dogs for Houlagan's Rest and BARKVa for the 4 years, and currently have 2 adopted dogs of my ow (both foster fails!): a sweet American Bulldog mix named Big Mama, and a Black and Tan Coonhound Mix named Dusty. Fostering has allowed me to work with breeds, ages, and learning abilities of all kinds. I have leash trained, potty trained, and been a medical foster for those who have just been spayed/neutered as well as other medical complications. I am very comfortable with dogs that have barrier/food/dog aggression, as well as anxiety. In addition to my fostering/owning my own pups, I raised both of my childhood dogs (cockapoos) from 8 weeks onward for my mother during my summer breaks. I have also babysat dogs for my friends and family throughout undergraduate school and grad school. I believe that your pup should feel comfortable, safe, and happy throughout their stay with me, so I request that we do a meet and greet before confirming to make sure that I can sufficiently meet you and your dog's needs 😊 I will also be able to stay in your home full-time as my husband will take care of my pups while I am away, so no need to worry about splitting time!!! I am available to dogsit from Fridays after 11:30 AM until Sundays at 10:00PM, and can dog walk on weekends! I typically am home near full-time with your pup, and do not like to leave more than 2-3 hour intervals max most often. When at your home, I am always certain to implement whatever rules you may have. I am experienced with crate training, and am also happy to take the pup on adventures (I often like to go to the farmers market and on long walks around the Richmond Trails.) I am also happy to lounge on the couch and snuggle if that's what they prefer!

“Margaret went above and beyond when caring for River. My smoke detector was going out due to an apparent dead battery or something and she made every effort to help the situation. Her communication was great and I felt very comfortable knowing that my cat was in her hands ! Thank you Margaret.”

“Ruby loves Allison! We appreciate her prompt communication and attention to detail. She brings in my packages, searches for missing treasure Ruby has buried in the yard. Highly recommend!”

About: I've been volunteering at the Richmond Animal League for over a year and have previous experience working at shelters and dog daycares. I've always loved caring for animals; I used to volunteer at the SPCA when I was younger and I have two dogs of my own that I enjoy taking on walks and playing fetch with in the backyard. I have a part-time job that I work 3-4 days a week (mostly evenings). Other than that, schedule is pretty flexible! I'm available throughout the week, as well as weekends. I'm more interested in drop-in visits and dog walking, but I'll be able to petsit for as long as you need with enough notice! For pet-sitting, I'll be able to stay and take care of your pets for as long as you need me to be there. I can stay all day and even overnight if needed, or just check in periodically throughout the day! I'll carefully follow instructions given on feeding, walks/exercise, morning and bedtime routines, medications, and just overall entertainment. I'm great with dogs of all kinds of energy, whether they want to be active all day long, or just snuggled up on the couch!

Marina was a lifesaver! We found her when our original pet sitter bailed on us last minute. She was super personable and very friendly. My mom stayed at our house with our pets all week but we needed someone to come walk our dog and Marina was awesome. She also went above and beyond to help my mom with our cat who needed to go to the vet while we were gone. I definitely would recommend her! She treated our pets with care and love and my mom was super impressed with her all week.
We were happy to have Eryn look after our cat (Kitty) over a 4th of July weekend trip. Our planned sitter fell through at the last minute and Eryn was able to jump in and help us out. She did some drop-in visits with him, checked his water and scooped his litter box. Everything went well and she even brought in a package that we forgot was being delivered. We recommend her to other cat owners!

Mallory did a very good job caring for my two older dogs. One is blind and sometimes is cautious upon meeting new people. But Mallory won her over quickly. She followed all of my instructions and sent me many photos during each visit. I would be happy to have her pet set again.

My Leah always takes some time getting comfortable with people. That said, Le’Yana listened and used all my tricks and suggestions to help Leah become at ease with her visits. I can always tell when Leah is happy with her visit by her behavior when I get home…and Leah is happy! Le’Yana has been a joy and I receive lots of pics and updates🙂

Trinity was great! She was very flexible and able to work with me last minute over a holiday which is amazing. She communicated with me regularly and sent me pics and updates of my kitty. I came home to a happy kitty. I will definitely use her as a sitter again and highly recommend her.
