âJosh was amazing with my Gypsy. I have always left her with a family member but Josh is now my official pet setter. He is caring and treated my dog as his own. He stayed at my home and took care of it like it was his own. I would highly recommend him as a pet setter. He is five stars all the way.â

About: Hi there! Iâve been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have experience with a variety of breeds and ages. I offer dog walking services in addition to pet sitting, so your pup can get the exercise they need. Currently, I have a high-energy Australian Shepherd, which has given me plenty of experience in keeping dogs entertained and happy. I have had 8 puppies in my care at a time as well if you need puppy care. Iâm dedicated to providing loving and attentive care for your favorite family member. My schedule is very flexible so I am able to help at most times! I am in B2B sales and work remote. I can also run your dog if needed! I will ensure that your home is safe and left exactly the way it was upon my arrival. I understand how much trust goes into letting someone into your home.
âStephanie is THE BEST! First off, she met with us and the dogs twice before she dog/house sat for us. One of our dogs has a pretty intense medical regimen between # of meds and schedule. We haven't been able to travel because of it. Stephanie put our minds at ease!!! We had a worry free trip because of her. The dogs and house were well taken care. She is amazing! We already have our next booking secured! Do not hesitate to reach out to Stephanie!â
âVicki took great care of my two senior pugs, one who is a special needs boy. She was patient and attentive to both pugs while I was gone for the day. Because my boy is paralyzed, he has to be watched closely and carefully. Vicki saw to his needs and gave him the attention he needs to feel reassured.â

âMiranda did a fantastic job with my Dax. Was worried about leaving my boy with just anybody but Miranda gave me daily updates and this really put my mind at ease and was able to enjoy my vacation without worrying how my Dax was doing. I needed to stay an extra day and this was not a problem for Miranda. I would recommend Miranda to anyone who needs a sitter. Iâll be using her again in a couple of weeksâ

âStacy was super friendly and great to work with! I felt very at ease having her take care of my little guy and would definitely recommend her to anyone!â

About: I have always had pets since my childhood and now I have a terrier/heeler dogo named Aaliyah. I absolutely love pets and caring for them brings me so much joy! I have been caring for pets since I was in my early teen years so for about 10 years. I promise Iâm the girl for the job! :) I work Monday through Friday and the earliest I start is 8am and every day besides Thursday Iâm off by 6pm. I usually am free on the weekends and holidays. I have my own transportation so I am happy to commute. If youâd like to do a meet and greet before your requested service, I am happy to do that. Depending on the service requested, I will ensure that whatever it may be you ask of me is completed. I will follow directions with precision and care. I will ensure pets feel cared for and seen while their owners are away.
About: My childhood was surrounded by dogs. When I was 12, I had to completely take care of 4 pit bulls, a Dotson, a mixed breed medium sized dog, and 3 cats. I have watched a few friends and family's pets over the years. Before I moved here, I actually helped my cousin take care of his senior husky with low energy that needed shots for a medical condition and a 2 year old German shepherd with all the energy in the world. My foster mom also bred pugs for a living, and have had to help the momma pug give birth while my foster parents were gone. I also have a 4 year old female Black Mouth Cur named Ava, that I have had since 6 months old, and a 2 year old male pitbull terrier rescue named Bosco, that I have had for a year and counting. He is full of fear and needs a lot of patience to work through it, but after 5 months of touch and go work, he now knows what play is and has his own toys! He also is scared to eat or seems to not know what his feeding bowl is, but after different ways to show that feeding time is okay, he is slowly gaining the weight he should be at! Treats were his sweet spot for knowing it is a safe place, and my sweet Ava sped the process for getting him comfortable in his new home and now commandeers my clothing to sleep with in his bed. Due to Bosco being a rescue and has become very protective is why I can't offer in home sitting in my home but am open to dog sitting at client's homes. I am currently a new stay at home mom. I take care of my two boys and my two fur babies. I am more than ready to help others with their fur babies. Due to behavior of one of my dogs, I would not be able to comfortably care for your fur babies in my own home, but I will do the utmost care for your fur babies in your home! Give me all the rules you need followed; Outside during certain times, feeding strategies, don't sit in a certain spot or area in the home. Nothing is too much to handle! I have even taken care of dogs with potty issues and needed baths for their health care and hygiene of your home.
âEshanki was great with our cats! They looked happy and relaxed when we got back. She sent daily photos and updates that really put us at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy our vacation knowing our cats were in good hands. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter!â

About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. Theyâre also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if thatâs what theyâre used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child â with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment theyâre here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so Iâm around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionshipânot just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your petâs routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether Iâm caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. Iâm detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your petâs normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress lowâespecially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessibleâno unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I donât take dogs off-leash unless itâs a securely fenced area and youâve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.
âKelly was absolutely fantastic taking care of my pups over a weekend for me. She sent regular updates and I can see she truly cares about animals! Sheâll be my first choice for future pet sitting needs!â

âWe hired Alice to pet sit our kittens when we were out for a a week and a half, including overnights. We returned to happy, healthy kittens. I was a little worried because one of the cats needs medication, but she handled that nicely. She was also communicative and responsive, and left the house in great condition.â

I have taken care of senior dogs with disabilitys also medical conditions. Owned up to 5 dogs at one time. And would look forward to looking after and spending time with yours. âLima Sierra did an amazing job caring for our home and animals while we were away. She arrived on time for our meet and greet and was immediately kind, easygoing, and wonderful with our dogs. On the first day of the house sitting, she even arrived early so she could get settled and make sure she had a good understanding of everything. Throughout our trip, she sent pictures every day and took excellent care of our dogs, chickens, and ducks. She also went above and beyond when she noticed that our garden irrigation had sprung a leak. She fixed the problem and even hand-watered the garden to make sure everything was taken care of. When we returned, the house was clean, all of the animals were happy, and everything was in great shape. It honestly felt like we had simply left for a few days, everything continued running smoothly, and we came home and picked up right where we left off. That is exactly what you hope for in a house sitter. We would absolutely recommend Lima Sierra and would be very happy to have her stay again!â

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Chilcoot walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Chilcoot maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chilcoot choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
