“My fur baby loves her walks with Jen and i always come home to her happier and more playful on the days she has her walks. Jen is very professional and goes above to ensure she provides a quality experience for your dog.”

About: I've had my own dogs and a cat my whole life. Additionally I got my first horse at 12 and have been around large and unique animals forever (even pet deer and alpacas!) From my baby Miniature Pinscher to my Great Dane I am capable of providing individualized care. I am currently a student athlete at DSU. I ride on the equestrian team so after my one in person class I am typically in and out of the barn with lots of time to spare as everything else I do for school is online. Pet care fits into my routine as a priority. I recently moved to Dover for school, and miss my dog terribly. Prioritizing your dogs in my schedule is not just a job for me, but a source of happiness! We have a large backyard for fetch and a safe neighborhood for walks and adventures! One block over we have a small park area as well. We have no other animals in the house, just four college girls who are all missing our companions from home. In the house your dog can roam freely about and sleep in my room/bed with me, whatever they are comfortable with.

About: With 10+ years of caring pets of all kinds—dogs, cats, and more—I treat every animal like my own. I bring patience, reliability, and always want to learn each pet’s quirks and needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, basic training, or medication, I provide loving care with regular photo and text updates to keep you updated and connected. I have a flexible schedule! I’m open to any time, day, or length your pets need care. So house-sitting and overnights work great for me! I guarantee your pets will receive plenty of love, walks, and pets when I’m there. When caring for your pets, I will make sure to keep their routines as consistent as possible—from walks and activities to mealtimes and medicine. I respect your home and space by keeping it clean and secure so both you and your pets feel comfortable and safe. I also enjoy sending photo and text updates to keep you updated and connected!
About: Hello, My name is Faith. I am a recent college graduate with double majors in animal science and animal ecology. I am a lifelong animal lover and have experience fostering puppies and living with/caring for family dogs and cats. I am also looking to become a veterinarian so I have lots of experience with care of animals, from rabbits to farm cats. I have 2 cats of my own that I love and appreciate as well as tons of experience with dogs. I am great at understanding animal body language and love big dogs. I am an athletic person who likes hiking and rock climbing so walking dogs is something I enjoy as well. I have plenty of time on my hands while working remotely and really like the joy I receive from caring for different animals with unique personalities. I hope to meet you and your furry friends soon! I work parttime Monday - Thursday, but I am available to work with your schedule. I have a lot of free time to care for furry friends. I care by feeding the pets and providing enrichment. I can do this by playing with the animal or giving them a puzzle. I like using puzzles with treats to get them more involved in play as well as using scratching pads with catnip for cats.
“Chris has been so good with our dogs. He always shows up on time with our crazy schedule. Me and my husband work different days and nights and weekends. Chris has been so accommodating. He definitely communicates well with us.”

“Amber was wonderful with our dog. ShnikelFritz is a rescue and can be quite anxious when left alone. Amber was so good with her, she walked our dog twice,as requested, and sent us great pictures. I felt very comfortable that our dog was in capable loving hands and I would not hesitate to hire. Amber in the future.”

About: My love for pets started with our first pet,. Sparky. He was our first dog of three during my childhood. My most recent was a rescue pit/lab mix named loofah. It was bath product week at the shelter. :). It was unique for sure and we didn't have the heart to change it. She had a way of brightening the day and making it more fun. Always ready to cuddle or play. Sadly I didn't get her in the split but I check in on her when I get in the area. Current lease doesn't allow for that breed and since their the hardest to place i'm holding on for one or two soon. I'm the go to friend that happily house sits or keeps and eye on their 4 legged family members.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
