You can rely on me to not only take care of your dog and cat in the standard ways like giving them food, water, and walks, but to really give them the love and attention that they need while you are away. I am also confident that if a situation arose where your animal needed care by a veterinarian that I could handle the situation effectively, efficiently, and safely. My overnight fee also includes basic home care like mail and package collection, watering plants, and any other house hold needs. Darcy Why I love dog sitting I have loved cats and dogs since I can remember! I grew up with them. My parents had a Great Dance prior to my birth, and my brother had a dog when I was a toddler. I grew up with a Bouvier, a large black sheep herding dog and many cats. She even had puppies who I helped care for until they were adopted. I was gifted a very sweet dog that was my own and helped me learn responsibility in 7th grade. My parents currently live in New Mexico and have a lovely Portuguese Water Dog, who I love dearly. Every time I see a dog on the street being walked, I want to hug it and play with it! I have always loved and had a deep appreciation for animals and their roles in humans lives. :) Dogs and cats are truly wonderful creatures! It is also important to note that I have never been afraid of large or barking dogs unless they are particularly vicious (which are far and few between). Eventually I would love to own a dog, but cannot right now, and love to love and care for other people's pets. I have administered oral medication to dogs and cats. I am willing to administer injections and other kinds of medicines.It is crucial that I get an in person, hands on demo/lesson with owner prior to their leaving town, so I know I’m doing it correctly.

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for most of my life. I got my first dog around age 11 and have had multiple dogs over the years, along with a ferret, hamster, and fish. I’ve also helped care for family members’ dogs and cats whenever they needed someone they could trust. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Animals have always been a big part of my life and continue to be. I truly enjoy being around them and caring for them, and I always joke that one day I’m going to end up with my own little farm because I want every animal I see! I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day. I’m able to take breaks for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, or whatever a pet may need. My daily routine is pretty laid back, so I have the time and flexibility to give pets plenty of attention and care. About: I've been taking care of neighbor's cats and dogs since childhood, including overnight house sitting. I've had cats for most my life and have worked with big and small dogs, young and old, including dogs that need a lot of exercise. I have experience taking care of other domestic mammals like rabbits, chinchillas, rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, and hedgehogs, as well as exotic birds and reptiles. I'm a big animal over; I majored and worked in wildlife conservation, and am passionate about domestic and wild animals. I work freelance, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I am able to stay home a lot and be with the pets. I have a car to get to people's homes easily for daytime checkins/walks. Depends on the client's specific needs but usually for housesitting I stay at the house and am home often, so I'm able to give the pets attention and care, and let them out for bathroom breaks and walks regularly as needed. I can do basic household stuff like take out trash, clean up after pets, water plants, whatever is needed.

About: I am looking forward to hosting dogs in my house. I have a 4 year old dog I recently adopted. He enjoys having other dogs come to visit! I'm a teacher so I am home weeknights and weekends to care for and play with your dogs. Your dog can sleep in my room or can be crated if that is preferred. I am also excited to explore my new neighborhood with dog walks in the evenings. I have recently moved to a new home that has a small front yard. There are trails nearby that I can use for dog walks.
