Pet care experience
Educated & Trained Animal Caregiver
I’ve been caring for animals in many capacities for over 11 years, and I bring both hands-on training and professional responsibility to my work with pets. I volunteered and then worked as a part-time farmer at Rosebridge Farm & Sanctuary in Dresher, PA for 1 year, where I was solely responsible for night shifts. My duties included administering medications, cleaning animal areas, and replenishing food and water—ensuring the animals were safe and healthy overnight. Puppy Raising & Training – While in college, I volunteered for 4 Paws 4 Humanity, a nonprofit in Ohio, where I spent 4 years learning how to properly handle, train, and raise puppies to prepare them for adoption and service roles. For the past 11 years, I’ve regularly cared for dogs and cats for family and friends. This has included everything from feeding and walking to overnight stays, playtime, and keeping up with training routines. I am a proud pet parent to two adopted cats and formerly to my Goldendoodle, Bear, who I trained myself and loved for 12 wonderful years. I also helped train my grandparents’ Scottish Terriers (a notoriously tough breed to train!), giving me patience and persistence when working with more independent dogs. Professional Skills & Responsibility – Beyond my animal care background, my career as a social worker with Child Protective Services and later as a compliance case manager for home health caregivers taught me the highest level of responsibility when it comes to handling people’s lives, homes, and families. I now work full-time with a flexible schedule at a senior living community in Bryn Mawr, which allows me the freedom to provide pet care nearby during days, evenings, and weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand how important it is to feel confident that both your pets and your home are in good hands. At home, I already care for my two adopted cats, so I will not be introducing any client pets into my own apartment. Instead, I focus on providing care directly in your home, where your pets feel most comfortable and secure in their own routine. When staying overnight or stopping in during the day, I make sure pets get plenty of potty breaks, walks, and playtime, along with the comfort of companionship. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions—whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or exercise routines—to keep things consistent and safe. Just as importantly, I treat every client’s home with the utmost respect. My background in social work and in-home case management has taught me to be extremely responsible when entering and caring for someone else’s space. You can trust that I will leave your home exactly as I found it, while making sure your pets are happy, safe, and loved.
Ratings and reviews
Ricky and Joe are the best - super responsive, reliable, and my dogs absolutely love them. They stayed at our house and I swear it was cleaner when I got home than when I left it. This was the second time we’ve used them and we will absolutely be booking them again!

We had been looking for a dog sitter for our two dogs for a little while and couldn’t be happier with finding Ricky. From the first time that we met her, we knew she was the perfect choice for our dogs Tate and Penny. She took the time to come to our house for a meet and greet, and we spent so much time chatting about life and dogs, Tate and Penny and ourselves. Communications with her were very clear and timely, her pricing was very competitive, but more importantly was the way that she interacted with our dogs that made us feel so comfortable to let her stay in our home and spend the time watching our dogs. Both she and her fiancé, Joe know how to make the pups feel loved and provide the pets’ owners with the security that their animals are being taken care of safely. She provided us with photos daily. Ricky left our house very clean after spending the week here, and our dogs were clearly happy. We couldn’t be happier finding Ricky and Joe to help us when we needed them and we look forward to working with them in the future. We’d give them six stars if we could!!

We had such a great experience with Ricky! She stayed at our house and took amazing care of our two dogs while we were away. She kept us updated the whole time with lots of pictures and videos. Our dogs looked so happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She was reliable, communicative, and treated our home with respect too. We came home to two very happy pups and a stress-free experience. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pets!

Ricky is my first pick for house sitting my dog and cat. She is attentive, kind and responsive. I always get a ton of pictures and videos while away, which I love. Kiki & Nala absolutely adore her and I have no worries when leaving them in her care. She is great and my first pick!

We have an anxious dog that doesn't do well with strangers, but she warmed up to them quickly! Ricky sent daily updates that made us feel more comfortable. Our dog was happy and healthy when we got back and our house was super clean!

Ricky took great care of our dog! He has reactivity issues and she made sure she understood his specific needs. She is very friendly and communicative, we will definitely be rebooking in the future.

Schedule
My work schedule is flexible and varies from week to week. I typically work Monday–Saturday, with shifts that range from 9–5, 10–6, 11–7, 12–8, or 1–9, depending on the events we host at the senior living community where I work. Since I don’t follow a strict 9–5 routine, I’m available to provide pet care before or after work, as well as on weekends. I also love offering overnight pet sitting, especially in locations near Bryn Mawr, which is close to my job. This allows me to care for pets in a way that fits naturally into my routine while giving them the consistency and comfort of overnight companionship. At home, my fiancé helps care for our cats, so I am able to dedicate my time fully to clients’ pets when I am staying overnight. As we plan our wedding, this side job is something I’m truly excited about—it’s a way for me to combine my passion for animals with my flexible schedule and provide loving, reliable care for families in the area.
