“Shauna and Nixley took wonderful day care of Moby for several days while we were visiting RI on vacation (and staying at a dog friendly hotel). They were incredibly flexible with drop off and pick up as our plans changed daily and Moby trotted into the house happily with them every morning. Lots of pics of Moby lounging on the sofa with them, and/or hanging out with another pup they were sitting, reassured us that he was happy and comfortable while the rest of the family got some much needed down time together. About: I adore animals of all shapes and sizes and make sure their needs are met above all else! I have thorough experience with seniors, especially when it comes to meds, taking extra leisurely walks, and giving baths. I also was a bunny mom to a Lion Head for 8 years, and grew up around chickens and ducks. I have pet sit my friends, family and neighbors dogs countless times over the years, and understand the need to have some peace of mind when you're away from your pet! I work from home, so I am available 7 days a week for client flexibility. I am able to ensure your pet's needs are met, whether that’s providing exercise, walks, or keeping them company throughout the day. Depending on their age and size, I would make sure that the space is puppy or senior proofed (extra rugs/padding on the floor) to ensure that they are safe and comfortable. I would be able to take them for walks and feed them according to their schedule. I have a dedicated space in my living room for their bed and toys and food to be available to them at all times.

“I can’t say enough good things about Sue! She was so incredibly accommodating and patient with my dog. My dog, Sadie, was uncharacteristically anxious and scared on our vacation. She was having a really hard time separating from me at all. Sue took the time to get her acclimated with the new environment and allowed me into her home to give Sadie time to adjust and get comfortable. She played calming music for Sadie and gave her her favorite treat- peanut butter. By the time we picked Sadie up, she was very happy and more back to herself. Sue gave Sadie so much love and attention the whole time I was at the aquarium. I was able to have a good time, knowing my dog was in good hands. Sue kept me updated on Sadie’s progress with texts, pictures and videos. I am so very grateful and would recommend Sue to anyone seeking a great pet sitter!”

About: Please note: our beloved golden retriever, Charlie, has been diagnosed with a heart tumor and pulmonary hypertension. We are on a hiatus from dog sitting for this period of time while we care for him and give him all the love we can for the time we have left with him. We will update our calendar as we’re able, and look forward to a return to sitting when it is appropriate. Thank you for understanding. We are a dog loving family with experience from puppyhood to senior care. We’ve raised dogs from breeders and we’ve fostered/rescued. One of our beloved pups had a severe genetic heart disease, so we’ve dealt with medical conditions and the accompanying drugs and modified care they require. Through all of our canine experiences, we’ve learned that dogs thrive with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of love and affection. Our two retrievers are a huge part of our family, and we look forward to your pup falling in with our routines like he/she is one of our own. I work from home Monday-Friday. Your dog(s) would spend their weekdays joining our two dogs either curled up at my feet or playing in our fenced-in backyard. On weekends and evenings they’ll enjoy the extra company of our dog-loving teenagers, who will spoil them rotten with walks, playtime, and lots of attention! We have a big, fenced in yard so the dogs will get plenty of outdoor time. For the most part, your dog(s) will have free rein to be with our family and our dogs doing whatever we’re doing — but we do have several crates and portable fences that we can use as needed to provide separation and quiet time. We want your dog to be comfortable and happy in our home, so we’ll work closely with you before your visit to make sure we understand his/her habits and routines!

About: I have helped families take care of their pets (and kids!) for over 20 years! I just moved to Westerly with my husband, rescue pup, and sweet senior cat and we just had our first child. I enjoy helping families with their fur babies as I settle into being a stay at home mom! Depending on the baby’s schedule, sometimes my husband does the visits for me or we all go together with the baby in a carrier— let me know in advance if you have any issues. About: With being surrounded by family and friends who are vet techs & pet clinic staff, I have had experience with dogs & cats for a very long time. I absolutely adore animals and have always wanted to make it my job to go above and beyond and give all the love to fur babies so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. This is professionally my third year. With being an active girl, I love to go on walks, hike, go for drives & listen to music. Pet sitting is very compatible with my personality and routine. When I visit a home or stay with a pet, I make sure to follow every instruction to keep the dog, or cat, in the same routine so the animal is as comfortable as possible. It is important to me to not disrupt the normal for an animal and keep them feeling loved and safe. ♥️

Finn got along really well with her two dogs and was always excited to go to Margo's house when I dropped him off in the morning. About: I am very sensitive about dogs feeling and mood. And I have many experiences that they can read my thoughts. So always try to do my best to treat them sincerely. I am stay at home mom and have a dog called Rhody. The most important thing for me when it comes to caring for a dog is to be trusted by the dog, and to make it feel secure where it stays. I always try to communicate through the eye contact with them or their gestures. And I make a schedule so that I can take a walk in the sun for about an hour a day in addition to their bathroom time. Because regular exercise and sunbathing help dogs feel bright and their mind and body function smoothly. Clients can customize schedules for their dogs to me, and I won't deviate from his routine as much as possible. I always fill your dog with leashes and go for a walk, but if they meet me several times and have a solid relationship, I also take them to the dog park. If they need to release their energy. A scaredy or old dog can make my family have a blast at home.
