“Michelle provided updates and services as requested. Came home to a non-distressed cat which is all I can hope for with my shy guy. Would book her again.”

“Ashton was such a blessing to our family. She cared for my 3 doggies and kitty while we were gone. She agreed to watch my fur babies with limited notice and went above and beyond to care for them. She sent me daily pictures, took the doggies for walks, gave them love and stayed later than originally planned to feed them and check on them. Highly recommend. We would definitely use her again.”

“Shaira stayed over with our dog and was everything we could ask for when we are away. She was very communicative, gave updates and pictures through the stay, letting us know how it was going. We could see from the photos how comfortable and content our dog was with her. Don't ever hesitate when your pet is in Shaira's care.”

“Karen did a wonderful job sitting for our geriatric greyhound in our home! Very reliable and put our minds at ease with regular updates and pictures. Would highly recommend!”

“Morgan did watch my two dogs Bella and Tito, did a great job and she is very responsable . She also kept me updated and sent several photos of my dogs, which was really nice for us. I will definitely book with her next time .”

“Amie was an incredible dog sitter for Cinnamon. From the moment I left for vacation, I had zero worries knowing Cinnamon was in such good hands. She got plenty of attention and treats, and Amie even went above and beyond by giving her a bath after she got into something sticky outside. When I returned home, not only was Cinnamon happy and well cared for, but my house was beautifully clean as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust Amie again in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, my dogs are my babies and I would treat yours the same. Fully fenced in yard to play fetch in and run around I’m currently a stay at home dog dad so they will never be left alone, always ready to take outside and let play with toys. I let my dogs out every couple of hours, always have food available for them and take them outside to play fetch whenever the weather permits
“Tony was amazing. He is kind and took great care of our fur babies. They took to him right away during our meet and greet. I highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to rebook with him.”
About: I have had dogs and other small animals since childhood. I also have a background in emergency medicine that can come in handy. I’m also currently working from home and have an extremely flexible schedule I work part time from home or can take my work with me. Making it easy to walk dogs and spend time with them throughout the day. I usually get in 3-5 miles daily. Making it easy to get dogs exercised. I have a fenced yard with one dog who is an incredible “host”. Not minding company. I also have the ability to rotate animals safely inside and out of the home if they are not happy together.

“Nadia was a joy to work with. Very professional. She kept us informed on the days events. Sent pics & videos of her interaction with our kitty's! Put my mind at ease, since I've never left my 2 year old cats alone. Plus she maintained security of my shop & belongings. I would highly recommend Nadia. We will always request her. If your looking for someone that is on top of their game + trustworthy, its Nadia”

About: I grew up around all sorts of animals and loved to go above and beyond their care. From fish, to guinea pigs, tortoises, dogs and cats I love to spend time caring for all animals. From cozy homes for strays to insulin shots for my senior diabetic dog, I can do it all. No request is too silly to ensure the proper care and happiness of each unique individual. I currently work from home part time with my little one and would love to incorporate taking care of your pet family while you’re away, anytime of day. From litter box scooping to cage cleaning, I take the time to ensure your animals environment is exactly as they (and you!) would prefer. An animals environment is one the largest factors to ensuring their happiness and good health and one of the most important as a sitter.
About: Hi there! My name is Anna Williams, I am 25 years old, and I absolutely love animals! 😊🐾 I have a very open schedule and am available pretty much every day of the week between 9am-9pm. Having grown up on a farm, I have worked with just about every kind of animal since I was a baby— including dogs, cats, rabbits, cows, horses, goats, poultry, pigs, alpacas, reptiles, ferrets, and much more! I was the main caretaker of the animals on the farm which has given me an abundance of hands-on experience when it comes to animal and veterinary care; including animal behaviors, training, shot administration, oral medications, medical care, etc. In my life, I have owned over 20 doggos and more kitties than I can count, from babies to seniors. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to take care of their pets since I was around 10 years old. Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. Your pets are my number one priority and will be treated like absolute royalty while you’re away! 👑 Over the years, I’ve worked at a veterinary clinic as an assistant, taken many classes on animal behavior and training, attended seminars and workshops about veterinary medicine, traveled to educational events about animals, and spent countless hours studying alongside veterinarians and animals. I have always dreamed of becoming a small & large animal veterinarian. I would also like to become a veterinary technician and open my own pet daycare and salon in the future. I also worked for a year at a doggy day care and spa, where I learned about the different personalities and behaviors of just about every kind of dog. It was an absolutely amazing experience— and I even worked with up to 35 doggos in one day (which was awesome!!). Whatever kind of pet you may have— whether it be tiny or huge, fluffy or scaly— I am your girl for the job. I absolutely love taking care of animals no matter what they may be. I will love your pets like they’re my own babies! All sizes, ages, and types of animals are welcome. This includes (but is not limited to) pet sitting, dog walking, farm chores, training, and more. I will make sure to send lots of photos of your pets, as well as give them my utmost attention and love. If you’re interested in care for animals other than dogs or cats, or in need of an experienced hand for your farm animals or horses— just shoot me a message for more information: twistedmaple.anna @ gmail .com And please feel free to message me if you have any questions! Thank you and I hope you and your pets have a wonderful day! :) *rates may increase depending on distance* *My son may accompany me to pet visits. *My family (my son and his father) would be coming with me for overnight stays. We will set up a meet and greet ahead of the booking so you can get to know us! I’m currently a full-time pet sitter, which means I usually have an open schedule! I am typically available between 9am-9pm every day of the week. My passion has always been caring for animals. Your pets will be treated like royalty. I have been in a great variety of situations with animals of all types throughout my life, which has given me a plethora of experience when it comes to earning your pet’s trust and love!
About: I have grown up with animals my entire life. Starting out with farm animals, cats, dogs. Caring for animals has been my life-long ambition. Ever since I can remember, I have always been around animals and I absolutely love working with animals. I have 3 Siberian Huskies who I absolutely love unconditional. They are my whole world. I am currently working part-time, but I am willing to let the job I'm doing know go so I can follow my heart do what I love most and that is I a patient about give dogs a whole lot of T.L.C = Tender, Loving, Caring. so I have all the time in the world for all your wonderful and gorgeous fur family pup's.. I have a large back yard but not fence in completely yet. I have 3 beautiful Siberian Huskies. To keep all your fur babies company. I can easily create your or mine if you need me too.
About: I am working on some pretty amazing updates. Additional outdoor yards are in the works, as well as a perimeter fence around the home property! I have also added Tracki to my collars. Tracki runs on global GPS (satellite feedback) and not cellular feedback, giving that extra security for your pups with no interruption in tracking! Bark & Barn is a privately insured in-home kennel that provides overnight and day boarding options as well as drop-in visits/walks for all pets, exotic included. I also provide optional training for dogs. I have five years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a high volume multi-species setting. With this, I have gained the knowledge, training, and experience in animal behavior as well as proper technique in safe animal hold, administering all forms of medication, administering emergency fluids, and animal CPR. Your pups will have access to multiple sections of my home, a fenced play yard, and walks over 120 acres of farm fields and streamed woods! I offer basic puppy training during board and day stays, including potty and crate training. I will gladly accept shark puppies, understanding completely how difficult these pups can be for many caretakers who are not experienced in their breed characteristics. I've worked with and owned dogs for over 17 years. I have a preference for high energy/high drive dogs, though I love all of them just the same. I am a farm mom of school aged children, work remotely, a full-time online student at KCC while my kids sleep, and have plenty of time to devote to your pets. I will follow strict biosecurity and safety measures. I am by no means a "doggy playcare". For their and my safety, I do not allow guest pups to interact together. I have sectioned off portions of my home and large basement for roam, and utilize sanitized in-home kennels for overnight and unattended times as well as movement of guests (inside, outside, walks, etc). I currently have full availability outside of school drop-off in the mornings and flexible pick-ups in the afternoon. I spend my free time caring for my own animals and attending online classes and seminars! I have a knack for social cues and when and how to approach. Discipline is and will always be reinforcement based. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand any dog can be reactive in the right setting, so meet and greets are a must! Our personal working dogs are not within the home's boundaries and remain with their flock at all times.
About: I know how to handle more energetic or anxious animals and can read animals behaviors very well. I have worked at multiple veterinary clinics through internships as a vet assistant. I now work at an animal shelter as a part of the medical team + animal care team. Due to this I am able to administer any medication or care to your pet. I work 5 days a week but only for around 6 hours per shift so the rest of the day I can spend with your animal and caring for them :) I have a very large yard, not fenced but I will walk your animal around it and spend time with them outside (leashed) so they get lots of wxercise and enrichment. I have multiple rooms in which your animal can roam so they don’t feel trapped + toys. Your pet will get lots of play time, cuddles, and attention based on their needs!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my entire life and I house-sit/dog-sit as a part-time job, as well as work at two stables. I grew up with the responsibility of taking care of my own pets, so I enjoy taking care of other people’s animals! I pet sit for another company and for clients I know personally, so my schedule is updated as accurately as possible on my page- most weeks I’ll be available Mon/Tues/Thurs/Sat/Sun. I could possibly help with pets on Wednesdays and Fridays, but those are my scheduled work days. When my semester starts in September, I’ll be occupied Tues/Thurs. When I am chosen for whatever service you might need, I’ll be able to feed, let your dogs out, walk them/play with them, spend time with your cats, etc.! I’d like to know a day or two in advance, but I could possibly accept a same day booking. I take care of every animal like they’re my own; I’ve taken many dogs off the streets to find their owners. This is no different, your animal will be treated with respect and love while you’re away! I won’t be taking care of animals at my house (due to my own pets), but I would possibly be willing to do overnight stays at the client’s house if it’s a good fit.
About: I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. My dad used to help help run a rescue for several years, and we had many dogs of varying breeds and ages in our home. I currently have one dog named Alvin who was born in 2022. He is a yellow lab with a lot of energy! I am venturing into the working world, and this is my only role. My availability is wide open and I'm willing to help when needed! I have a small fenced in area under our deck where my dog relieves himself. I go for walks and there is a dog park very close to the house. My dog has extreme crate anxiety, so he isn't created. I am comfortable helping to ensure your pet is created as necessary.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 329 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ceresco. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ceresco walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ceresco maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ceresco choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ceresco. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
