“Allison was wonderful and Milo was happy and obviously well taken care of while we were away. Allison also shared lots of photos during each visit which is much appreciated! Thank you again for accommodating us and Milo at the last minute so that we could enjoy a fun weekend away!”

About: Owned dogs since I was a child, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Irish Red & White Setter and a Chihuahua. Experienced with golden doodles and labs. Currently getting my pilots Licence’s and enjoy reading books I’m currently time building for my commercial Licence whenever the weather is good around 5 hours a day when possible. Usually busy at night around 5-8ish otherwise free. I have a tall fenced in yard where I play with my dog or walk him around my neighborhood. Otherwise he sits with me while I study or read.
“Zoe took great care of my 2 dogs and provided me with peace of mind while I was away. Her excellent communication and thorough caretaking skills allowed me not to worry at all. I highly recommend her!”

“Excellent dog sitter. I have no complaints and is very patient with my boxer. Who is 3 years old and unneutered? And she even helped us while we were way. Bringing the garbage for the house she is excellent. I highly recommend her and she is always on time..”

“Elizabeth was really easy to communicate with! We felt really comfortable having her check in on our dog everyday/having her in our home. Will definitely book again!”

“We cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience Violet gave to our pups and their humans. She went above and beyond and they both adore her as do we. She’s amazing, kind and very good with our dogs . We are so lucky to have her”

About: My dog Winnie is 17, so I’ve had lots of experience as a pet carer! Even though Winnie is a small dog, I have experience pet sitting and walking large dogs. I also love cats and have welcomed them into my home to cat sit over the last several years. I work as an independent artist and bartender, so I have a flexible schedule that gives me availability to take care of your furry friend or feline when you’re working! I am available morning, evening and night on weekdays and morning and afternoons on the weekends. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet by following their routine closely and giving them plenty of attention, care, and supervision. I understand how important trust is when caring for someone’s pet, and I treat every animal with patience, responsibility, and love.
“Tom was excellent with our pup Loki and very respectful of our home. He made the effort to fully understand our directions and followed them to the T, important when we are trying to train our pup. Loki was sound asleep, fed and satisfied when we came home. Tom was also very communicative. Highly recommend.”

About: I have a B.S. in animal science with the goal of going to veterinary school. I have experience as a vet assistant in a small animal hospital, as well as a variety of animal experiences. I was a part of a college club training future guiding eyes for the blind dogs, where I also became a certified sitter for Guiding Eyes for the blind. I owned and cared for a Shih Tzu for 15 years and have watched friends' and family's dogs. I'm currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to walk and play with your dogs! I'm available all day on weekends and on Wednesdays. I am currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 11:30 am. Your pet will be well supervised with plenty of affection. I have a bachelor's degree in animal science and experience as a veterinary assistant, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with different needs, personalities, and medical routines.
“Taylor did a great job checking in on my cat Emma! She sent detailed updates and several pictures every day which really put me at ease, especially because Emma can be an anxious cat. I definitely recommend her!”
“Victoria is the absolute BEST! She came weekly for my pup for potty and a quick walk two times a day and she was always on time and always took such great care of my dog. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!!!”

About: I’ve had my furry pet for 12 years before she crossed the rainbow bridge last year. I have cared about pets to a more deeper and emotional extent since I had her. I would love to spread all the joy and tenderness to another pet whenever I get the chance to. I am flexible the most during weekends and two days during the week. Pet care fits into my schedule best and I will be down to accept any gigs that will allow me to be flexible. I am very attentive when it comes to my pets needs and I do my best to keep them entertained. I make their day to day look slightly different to enhance entertainment and excitement.
“Sara was great with our little puppy. He loved having her come play with him while we were out of the house. Very easy to work with and respectful of our home. Followed our instructions and our puppy looks forward to her visiting again!”

“Claudia was great with my pup. She is punctual, great with communication and an awesome dog sitter. My pup was very excited to have her stop by. We will definitely be using her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Centerport
Madison went above and beyond my expectations of any other cat sitter I’ve ever had before. She fed, watered, played with and pet my cherished fur babes! There were six litter pans to clean and some of the older cats don’t make the litter plan. She sent me pictures of the cats, food, water and clean litter pans everyday.

Donald is very reliable! When I realized my 4 month old puppy needed a different schedule than I thought he adjusted the time he came and added an extra drop in a day to make sure our girl was well taken care of. He is always on time, and gives our puppy his full attention. I think they are going to be best friends quick. Will definitely continue to work with Donald. It is a big relief knowing she’s taken care of while I’m at work.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
