About: While most of my pet experience has been with cats, I’ve been around dogs throughout my life. My grandparents had dogs growing up, I’ve helped friends walk and care for theirs, and I’ve also been paid to dog sit and walk for a repeat client. I’m active and love being outside, so I’m happy to take energetic dogs on long walks or even easy runs. If your dog loves fetch, even better—I love practicing my football throw, so having an enthusiastic retriever makes the perfect practice partner! I’m just as comfortable with older or less energetic dogs, though, and am more than happy to slow things down, relax, and give them some company. I’ll always adjust to your dog’s energy level, personality, and normal routine. My schedule is pretty flexible, and I’m happy to travel a reasonable distance for the right client. Pet sitting and dog walking are genuinely enjoyable, low-stress work for me, so I’m always happy to make room for it in my routine. I’m especially open to consistent clients who need walks or visits on a regular schedule. If you’re looking for someone to walk your dog at the same time each day or on certain days every week, I’d love to become someone both you and your pet can get familiar and comfortable with. When I’m caring for a pet in their own home, I like to pay attention to how they naturally behave in their space rather than immediately trying to change their routine. I’ll learn their favorite toys, where they like to hang out, what gets them excited, when they usually start winding down, and how they interact with other animals in the home. I also pay attention to their boundaries and body language so I can adjust to their personality and energy level. My goal is for your pet’s day to feel as normal, comfortable, and fun as possible while you’re away.
