“Jennie was amazing! We were in town to camp and mountain bike and had to make some last minute adjustments due to weather. She was so flexible and accommodating we almost couldn't believe it! We hope to be back and would definitely use Jennie again.”

“Lacie was absolutely wonderful to our Cockapoo, Biscuit. We did day care in her home and she has a house perfectly suited to having animals and a huge fenced yard. She clearly loves animals and I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I have taken care of dogs my entire adult life , including senior dogs and puppies . I can administer medicine, and I work from home and can be here most of the time . Prefer not to have dogs larger than 60 pounds in my home overnight and no aggressive breeds . These factors will be considered on a case by case basis . I work from home with a flexible schedule and can meet your animals needs virtually anytime ! I have room to play and would love to care for your animal . I have experience caring for animals of all kinds in my home and will listen to any care instructions . I am home most of the day to care for the animal .
“Megan was awesome! She clearly loves her own pets. I appreciated that she let our dog inside the house and on the bed with her for snuggles. We got lots of photo updates. Her yard is large and fenced in as well.”

About: My name is Mac Graf and my husband and I live right outside Hendersonville, NC. I am a certified and licensed athletic trainer and am the Director of Sports Medicine as my full-time job. I work 90% of my job from home, and would love to help take the stress off your work day by allowing your fur family to hangout with me and my family for the day. I take my work seriously whether that be with my patients or with my fur friends. I fostered dogs throughout undergrad to give me more experience and make a change in an animal's life. I ended up adopting one of my foster dogs in 2020 and it was the best decision i've ever made! I rescued another dog in February of 2023, so I have lots of personal dog experience. I understand that having a dog is not just having a pet, but it is another family member. I treat them as such. With my experience as a foster, and being a pet owner myself - I know that I am responsible and loving towards all animals. I would love nothing more than to help take the stress off other dog owners, and help take care of them when needed. Since my job is 90% remote work, I have the flexibility to take my dogs on a walk or play outside in the fenced in area of our home multiple times a day. Throughout the work day they go outside multiple times - usually with a longer walk at the end of my work day. I ask the person I am dog sitting for what they want, and I always accommodate to whatever makes my client feel most comfortable with! We have two baby gates at home, so if we ever need to separate dogs in our home, we have the ability to do so. I always will be respectful of my clients and whatever their wishes are.
“Ann & Jaren took such great care of my Lottie girl when I was on vacation to NYC! They kept me up to date with lots of pictures; being that this was the first time we were apart for this long, I really appreciated the photos and care she received. She was in great hands and I 100% will be using them in the future! Thanks again 😊”

I am a student and am very flexible! My class and clinical schedule is different all the time so we can work anything out really! I live on 5 acres at my home with all of my animals! I can also stay at your home where your pet is most comfortable!

“Wow, Elizabeth has been Amazing! We have not had a better experience with sitters for Chip. Elizabeth and her family are so welcoming and accommodating of our schedule while in NC on vacation. If dogs could talk I’m sure Chip would share the same sentiments. It is always a great comfort to know your dog is well looked after when you are away from home and they can’t be with you.”

“My dogs have never been happier. Kharen is very attentive, trustworthy, professional and kind. Great place with large fenced in yard. She is our choice for Asheville day trips and vacations.”

“I needed a sitter last minute, and Julie accepted our sweet Luna with open arms. Excellent communication, I immediately felt confident Luna would be in caring and safe care, and Julie was super flexible. 10/10 would recommend!”

“I can't say enough great things about KaLynn. She did some daycare for our senior dachshund so we could do some sightseeing in the area and our pupper loved her. KaLynn sent us photos and updates throughout the day, which made us feel confident that things were going along perfectly in our absence. 10 stars if I could give them”

About: Fur loving homestead with lots of animals & room to roam! Pet care experience Hi! I’m Elizabeth, and I live on a homestead full of animals and a whole lot of love. If your pet is social, curious, and enjoys being around other animals, they’ll fit right in here. I’ve cared for my own pets for 20+ years and truly treat every animal like family. My home is active in the best way—plenty of attention, playtime, fresh air, and supervision—because around here, pets aren’t “just watched”… they’re part of the day. A good fit for my home: • Dogs (and other pets) who are friendly and enjoy being around other animals • Pets who like playtime, exploring, and a homey environment • Owners who want updates and peace of mind while they’re away Important note: Because I have multiple animals on our homestead, your pet must be comfortable around other pets/animals (or we’ll need to discuss options before booking). Safety and stress-free stays come first. I work from home full time, so I’m home all day for frequent potty breaks, playtime, meals, and lots of attention. Supervised yard time + regular updates included! Large yard + homestead home with friendly animals. I only accept pets who are comfortable around other animals. Supervised outdoor time, routine-based care, and a crate available if needed.
About: I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. I have had the privilege of caring for many beloved pups. Throughout my pet-sitting days, I have provided a loving and safe environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My two personal dogs were an integral part of my life for 12 wonderful years. They both passed in the Summer of 2020. It took me awhile to get another dog, but I did finally get our Elvis (a bloodhound) in October 2022. He is almost 5 years old with a giant heart! He loves to have a fur-friend over and gets along with any age pup. I have a son who is 10 years old and absolutely loves helping out with the dogs. My son has learned so much about dogs and loves having them around as well. I also prioritize the emotional well-being of the dogs I sit for. I recognize the profound impact that loss and change can have on a dog’s mental health, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. Through patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I work to alleviate any anxiety or stress that may arise during their time with me. Above all, I approach dog sitting as a privilege and a responsibility. I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that each dog receives the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a pawsitive and enriching experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of peace of mind for all parties involved. I am a stay at home dog-mom! I watch over other peoples dogs for a living. It is fur-ever evolving! That's why I created some different packages! “My dog has separation anxiety and loved his old doggy daycare back in our old town. I had trouble finding a daycare here when I moved that he liked and that fit with my schedule. We're so lucky we stumbled on Ryan. She has super flexible hours so I can stay late at the office if needed. She has all sorts of animals so Ludo is never lonely. She's also a retired vet tech so she has plenty of experience with all kinds of animals. Ludo barely even notices when I walk out her door to leave him for the day, and that's HUGE.”

As of August 2026, there are 519 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Cedar Mountain. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cedar Mountain commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
