About: I had a dog for my whole life, and cared for him from puppy to senior, so I know how to care for a dog at any stage of its wonderful life! I have also watched dogs of all sizes, from a chihuahua to a weimaraner! I am very active and would love to walk and play with your furry friend! About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since my family adopted our first family dog, Estella, in 2018. Since then, I've accumulated hundreds of hours of walking time, helped train Estella and our current family dog, Jade, learned to listen to their needs (when they need pets, outside time, play time, etc.), and, of course, gained experience cleaning up dozens of messes. Over the years I have also been relied on to cat-sit and dog-sit for two families when they were out of town. I am confident in my ability to give your pets what they need while you're away and can't wait to meet them! Until further notice, my availability for pet care is wide open. My goal for caring for your pets is, first and foremost, following the schedule and expectations that you've already set for them. It's super important to me that all the hard work you've put in with training, rule-setting, and care is continued even when you aren't there. After that, it's also important that I stay attentive to what your pets need. I make sure I'm paying attention to indications that they want to be let outside, want to be pet, or want to play.
About: I LOVE dogs of all types, especially medium to large breeds that love to walk. I have owned multiple dogs at one time and we live in a great location, by the river with lots of trails & dog friendly walking terrain. We have a fully fenced yard with lots of room to roam, allowing for frisbee & ball play time keeping the pups & humans engaged. Your fur friend will not be alone & we will offer free pets, walks & play time, as we have a pup as well who is Mr. Social! I’m currently working part time as a fitness coach close by & sub teacher & generally home most of the time. I love medium to large dogs, but just recently lost our 17 year old little dog. I have a fully fenced yard and always monitor our dogs outside. Inside, we use a fenced off area to keep dogs out of kitchen & downstairs. I prefer no dogs on furniture and up to date on vaccines.

I’ve cared for seniors, special-needs pets, anxious animals, and pets who need oral medications or a little extra patience. I’m big on following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime, and all the little things they’re used to at home. Some pets want to be attached to your hip, while others need time and space to warm up, and I’m happy to let them set the pace. I have two cats of my own and have had cats throughout my life, so I’m very comfortable with cat care as well as dogs. I’m used to everything from easygoing pets to the stubborn, mischievous, and “will absolutely eat that if you turn around for two seconds” variety. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll pay attention to your instructions, keep you updated, and make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. I spend most of my free time at home and have a pretty flexible routine, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, playtime and company. We always start the day with a morning walk before I head to work, and I’m usually home by 3pm for the rest of the afternoon and evening. When I’m not home, my husband usually is, so there’s typically someone around to keep an eye on things and give your pet some company. I can sometimes accommodate short-notice requests, and I live right next to two parks in a safe neighborhood with plenty of places to walk. My home is kept pretty pet-safe — my two cats are professional troublemakers, so they’ve made sure we don’t leave much out that curious pets can get into. It’s just my husband and me at home, so there aren’t lots of unfamiliar people coming and going. We have a fully fenced backyard, and the house is mostly hardwood and tile, so scratches, muddy paws, and normal pet messes aren’t something I stress about. I am trustworthy, honest, seeking part time supplemental income. I have a friend who owns a Bernice Mountain Dog, who I have dog sat for many times as well as taken on long walks and fed. I also helped raise two female Alaskan Huskies from pups. I taught them basic obedience training (how to shake, sit and lay down). I am available to work anytime Monday-Friday and anytime on Saturday and Sunday. I can do overnight stays during both week nights and weekends. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
