“What a great family! We did a drop off day care with them. Coco's tail was wagging away when we arrived, she knew she was in for some fun. They were so easy to communicate with, and you can tell that they all love pups. We were very happy with Coco's stay - we will definitely ask them again. Thank you Seth and Connie”

“Very positive experience for us and the pups. Great environment for both physical and mental stimulation for the pups. Lara clearly a knowledgeable and caring dog and animal lover. Lara kept us in the loop with pictures and commentary throughout the day. You can’t go wrong with Lara and family watching over your pups.”

About: I have a bachelor’s degree in animal and equine science. I am a certified veterinary technician and skilled with medication administration. I have owned my own pet sitting business for 12 years Pets are my life. They always come as my number one priority and yours will as well! Every day revolves around the animals and pets first. Everything else is secondary. I have 2 acres that are completely fenced in and an additional back yard that is fully fenced and walled. Pets are free to sleep on beds, couches or wherever else they are comfortable.
“Our little Coco had a GREAT day with Brynna. We had a last minute need for daycare and she was so nice to do a quick meet and greet the day before. Brynna is amazing with communication and response time. You can immediately tell that she LOVES all pups. Ours is just 11 months old and very busy and active and Brynna dove in and enjoyed it all. Her home is perfect inside and out for the pups and she really took the time to make it special for our Coco. We will definitely use her again. Thank you Brynna”

“Lynda, Roberto and Maria M. we’re fantastic. They immediately put me at ease by showing me their backyard, allowing my dog Bailey to meet their two dogs and they also showed me the areas the dogs rest during the day. They are very genuine and kind people and I could tell they genuinely love dogs. They are open and communicative and sent me pictures, and video throughout the day. Bailey has the tendency to get nervous when we leave her somewhere new and they were wise to keep Bailey busy while I left so that she didn’t notice me go and they gently let her get used to their home at her pace. I will definitely take Bailey again.”

“Kat has taken care of my large dog on multiple occasions, always treating him with love and patience. He is loving but excitable, and Kat always knows how to calm him and provide him a happy space.”

“Beth is incredibly flexible and communicative. Her home is filled with fun, adorable animals. The meet and greet went wonderfully, as she was welcoming and gave us a tour of her place. We're glad to have found her, especially since she's so close by.”

“Barbara was awesome! We were visiting the area from out of town and she was so accommodating in watching our dog while we went to watch a show. My dog is very timid but he warmed up to her so quickly and really enjoyed his stay. Communication was great and she was so nice!”

About: My mom and step dad are retired veterinarians so I've helped take care of animals my whole life. I've had my own little Shih Tzu mix for 15 years. “Maple had a great time staying with Carol! Carol is very experienced taking care of dogs and has an excellent setup in her backyard where she has separate fenced in areas where she can either let your dog play with her two cute French bulldogs, or give them time alone. She also shared lots of great pictures during Maple's stay! We would absolutely recommend Carol.”

“Felt very safe leaving Zarina with her. She was very communicative and patient with me. As an out of towner my guesses of how long everything would take was a bit off. lol traffic! I will use her again!”

“Our fluffy friend has ALWAYS been welcomed at Elizabeth’s. She is very loving and caring and we are happy to bring Sedona to Elizabeth’s weekly for day care. Sedona always comes home tired and satisfied with her day. We’ll continue to go to Elizabeth’s weekly!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid. I finally adopted my own 13 years ago as puppies and rescued 2 in 2021. They are all senior dogs now with special needs- diet and medical. My one is diabetic and requires 2 injections a day. They all take medication and follow a schedule. I work from home which allows me to care for my four dogs. I have the ability to help others at this time and would love to make sure their pets are well cared for. I know how challenging it was to find care for our boys when I didn’t work from home. I care for someone’s pet as they ask me too and as I do my own. No feeding food they aren’t allowed (treats that aren’t authorized), hand feeding if necessary, plenty of potty breaks in the backyard to run (my dogs prance) and roll in the grass. I have beds and blankets for them to choose from and cuddle time on the sofa too.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
