“Jenny is an excellent caretaker! She and her sweet puppy are a perfect fit. Her attention to detail and care for all animals really comes through. We’ll definitely be seeing them again!”

“Truman came through for us last minute while on vacation, which we are so thankful for. He is respectful, well-mannered and communicates efficiently. Would 100% recommend to anyone needing care for their pups.”

“Virginia was great! Bruno loved his time there. Her place has lots of space and a great yard for the dogs to play and enjoying lounging outside. Will definitely use her again. Thanks Ginia”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life! I currently have a standard size rat terrier at home. Love to go walks can go up to an hour. Overall a huge animal person, life isn’t the same without your built in friend. I am currently ahead Coach at the college where we have practice in the mornings. I have time later on in the day and only have one game scheduled for fall in winter meaning that I have a lot of extra time to walk and care for pets. I currently have a nine year-old rat terrier at home and I like to think that she is a sassy older woman. She goes with me everywhere! I am very good at giving a lot of pets and love before going on a walk. We usually go on 30 minute walks or a short 15 minute walk. But can get up to an hour.

“Dean is a great guy and took excellent care of Rocket. He always sent updates with photos and videos and it always looked like Rocket was having a great time (out for walks, playing with Dean and his other dogs and having that happy look on his face). We would recommend Dean to anyone looking for their dog to be taken care of in Telluride.”

“Sarah boarded my cat for two weeks. She was so good with my typically skittish and stranger-shy cat. My cat was very relaxed when I picked her up. Sarah sent pictures and updates throughout her stay and was so easy to communicate and coordinate with.”

“Becca was great! Very responsive in communications, and very understanding of our unique Emmitt. It was a great match, and Emmitt and Kodak are now BFFs. I won't hesitate to use Becca in the future.”

“Ansley was awesome! She was very communicative and sent adorable pictures and updates of Luna throughout her stay, and took Luna to do lots of fun activities. Her dog was also great with Luna! I felt like Luna was in great hands while I was traveling. I will definitely plan to book with Ansley again.”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, owned a dog daycare business, worked with many dog trainers and animal rescue organizations, and have volunteered as a trained dog handler for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. I love caring for all varieties of doggos and especially enjoy taking them on hikes around Durango. I have a playful Bernadoodle who is thrilled to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. We can’t wait to meet your pup! I have a flexible remote-work schedule and hike with my own dog every day, so I’m available most times throughout the week. I’m happy to work within your schedule. I am very active and take my 4-year-old Bernadoodle, Narly, on several mile walks or hikes every day. Narly loves to play and is friendly to all dogs regardless of size and breed. We often go to the dog park as well. Dogs are encouraged to hang out with me on all furniture, and we have lots of play time. We also have a large yard with a creek for easy-access outdoor time. I show the pups lots of love and affection, but can be strict if needed, depending on how you typically parent your own dog.
“I signed up with Alaina so we could bring our dog to Telluride with us and also camp at a dogless festival. Posey basically had her dream vacation. Hikes and swims in mountain springs, other dogs to play with, tons of love and attention. I was a little surprised she was willing to come home with us again. Alaina also went out of her way to make it convenient - picking up and dropping off and meeting us so we could visit. I can’t recommend her enough!”

96% of sitters in Cascade can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cascade.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
