Kailey was great! We have a brand new puppy and our older dog injured her paw, so it certainly wasn’t the easiest job but she handled it like a pro. She was communicative and professional.

Hannah was absolutely fantastic with our 9-month-old boxer, Teddy! She was incredibly communicative throughout the stay, sending frequent updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind. She made sure to keep Teddy on his routine and gave him plenty of playtime. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs, and Teddy had a great time with her. We will definitely be reaching out to her again the next time we need a sitter. Highly recommend! Thank you Hannah for taking such good care of our little boy!!!!

Ashley was amazing! She watched our girl Nala for the long weekend so we could travel back home. She not only took Nala on multiple walks a day and gave her lots of enrichment, she also came back for an extra walk the last day when our plane was getting in later. She left the house in perfect condition and our dog seems so content !

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, especially dogs. My first pup was an Irish Setter when I was just four, and over the years my family rescued many dogs — including plenty of Basset Hounds — so I’m comfortable with all kinds of breeds and personalities. I’m now a cat owner as well — it’s a new experience, but one I’ve grown to love. At the moment, I’m available nearly every day, including weekends, thanks to a flexible work schedule. I’m happy to work around your needs and adjust as things come up. My kids are fully grown, so I have some more time on my hands! I’m completely comfortable crating dogs when needed, and I’m confident handling daily walks, potty breaks, and general exercise routines to make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and well‑cared for.

About: Hello, my name is Amanda! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet sitter with 10 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. I’ve worked with puppies, senior dogs, and large breeds, and I’m comfortable watching multiple dogs at once while making sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. I have experience administering oral medications, supporting dogs with special needs (including helping care for a blind dog), and adjusting care routines to fit each pet’s personality and abilities. Safety, patience, and clear communication are always my top priorities. In addition to dogs, I’ve also cared for cats and guinea pigs, so I’m happy to help out in multi-pet households. I am a dog groomer, which has strengthened my understanding of dog behavior, handling, and overall pet wellness. I am available most of the day. I am working as a dog groomer so when I am not working with a dog I am available for pet care! It easy to work my schedule around what a pet parent may need! I can easily crate your dog if needed. I will keep your animal in designated areas if directed to do so. I am comfortable walking any size dog or if you have a fenced in yard I can watch your dog there.

About: Hello! My name is Caitlin, and I bring more than 12 years of veterinary experience to every pet I care for. Working as a veterinary technician gave me the opportunity to care for animals of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and medical needs, and it deepened my passion for helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience caring for senior pets, puppies and kittens, anxious animals, and pets requiring special attention due to medical conditions or mobility challenges. I am comfortable administering medications and monitoring pets closely to ensure they remain happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your beloved pet. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care that keeps your pet’s routine as normal as possible. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience and reassurance, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits and am available between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. I offer house sitting which includes drop in visits to feed, walk, play etc. but I can not sleep over. Price includes 1-3 visits per day. Every visit includes plenty of attention, affection, and communication, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in caring and experienced hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! My days are structured around my daughter’s school schedule, which gives me plenty of time during weekday mornings and early afternoons for walks, drop-in visits, or cat care. I focus on a few pets at a time so each one gets my full attention and gentle, loving care. Evenings are family time, but I’m happy to accommodate occasional evening or weekend visits for regular clients. Whether it’s a quiet cat who just needs company or a dog who loves a mid-day adventure, I make sure every visit is peaceful, safe, and full of affection. Your pets will be cared for like family — with kindness, intuition, and reliable communication. I provide loving, reliable care in your pet’s own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable. Staying in their familiar environment helps reduce stress and keeps their routines consistent — meals, walks, playtime, and cuddles just the way they like them. Because I’ve worked as a veterinary technician for over 12 years, I’m confident caring for pets of all ages and personalities, including those who may be shy, senior, or need medication. I take time to learn each animal’s rhythm and make sure they feel secure while you’re away. My goal is for you to return home to a relaxed, happy pet — cared for with patience, compassion, and the same attention I’d give my own.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 15 years old. I love walking dog and spending time with them I have no problems with taking care of the house as well when people are gone as well, including cleaning up, vacuuming, dishes, ensuring mail is collected and taking care of plants. I have experience with puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs. When I get up in the morning, I prefer to take the doggos out first thing for a quick walk around to let them go to the bathroom. We then head back to have breakfast together. Throughout the day, I will keep an eye on them to see if they need to go out. If they are a puppy, we will go out every 2 hours quickly. Otherwise, I tend to wait until around 4 hours to do another walk around, usually as a longer walk or if weather is bad, give us a chance to play at home for a while after lunch. I work remotely so I’ll still be able to work while looking after your pupper and will be keeping a close eye on them throughout the day. We’ll do another walk/play time around 3-4 before I start working on dinner and ensure we both get fed. At around 7 or.8, I’ll have us do one last walk around to take care of business before bedtime for adult dogs. Please keep in mind I’m aware that for puppies and senior dogs that schedules may need to adjust and we can have those conversations depending on need. I am not able to take pets into my own home at this time due to restrictions on my lease. So I will be relying on the equipment that you have in your home to care for your dog. I want to make sure I am using the food that your dog eats and the treats that are your safety standards. I will keep your dog on leash while on walks at all times, and be sure to follow whatever rules you have for your animal.

Jared "Wise Animal Guardians" was an exceptional dog whisperer and house sitter. My dog Lena is a lurcher with Strong prey drive who just happens to have a chronic acl issue. Jared made sure she was not off leash (chasing little critters in the back yard is her favorite thing) and even massaged her nightly. Sent tons if pics and communicated at all times. I was able to have piece of mind on my much needed vacation. Would highly recommend.

FAQs for House Sitting - Carver

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,668 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Carver. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carver walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carver maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carver. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
