We’re so grateful for the care and love you gave our dog while we were away! You were responsible, communicative, and truly treated our pup like family. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in great hands. Highly recommend and would absolutely book again!

About: Hi! I’m Ashley! A loving and dependable pet sitter with almost a year of experience and happy client reviews. I treat every pet like family and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, which means I’m fully available for afternoon and evening walks during the week. I also have open availability on weekends! Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule as I genuinely enjoy spending my free time outdoors and bonding with animals, so being a dog walker is something I look forward to, not just a side gig When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow their routine closely to help their pet feel safe and comfortable. I make sure to stick to feeding schedules, follow any special instructions, and give them plenty of attention, playtime, or calming care depending on their needs. I respect the space I’m in, keep things tidy, and treat each home and pet with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. Clear communication and trust are super important to me, so I always keep owners updated and in the loop!

Priscilla was excellent with my very reactive (but sweet) beagle. I get nervous with people walking my dog because I love him so much and he can be A LOT to handle for some, but I could tell right away that Priscilla is nice and patient. She’s a clear animal lover. I just had a newborn so it’s tough to walk both baby and dog at the same time so happy to have her during this season of life to show my dog some love. He came back in a super good mood and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again.

About: I've taken care and spent time with animals since I was young. I have one gorgeous husky of my own and have watched over my family/friends' dogs and cats many times. With years of hands on experience, I'm confident in caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities! No matter the task, I always have an attentive and loving approach to make your pet feel their best. I am currently a second-year Rutgers student who is home for the summer, which gives me more than enough time to care for my pup and your cute pets as well! At my home, I have a deck and patio that my husky loves to hang out on. At the moment, I do not offer overnight boardings, however I do offer drop in visits, walks, and sittings. I can come to your house and walk, feed, and play with your pups (and/or kitties)!

About: I grew up around animals and have been caring for pets for as long as I can remember. My family and I have looked after dogs, cats, and rabbits for friends, neighbors, and relatives, giving them a safe, loving, and comfortable place to stay. We understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so we take the time to learn their needs and make them feel at home. My mom, brother, and I all share a genuine love for animals, and we treat every pet like a member of our own family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, brushing, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, we make sure every pet receives the attention, care, and affection they deserve while they’re with us. Pet care is a big part of our daily routine. I live with my mom and my 19-year-old brother in a two-bedroom apartment, and my mom is home most of the day, so your pet will always have company, love, and attention. I work during the day, but when I’m home I dedicate my time to walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and making sure every pet feels happy and comfortable. As a family, we work together to provide constant care, so your pet is rarely ever alone. Our home is clean, safe, and pet-friendly. We even have a dedicated futon where pets can relax and feel at home. We grew up around animals and truly believe they deserve to be treated like family. We’ve cared for dogs, cats, and rabbits, and we always follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any special instructions. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their home with the same respect and make sure their pet stays comfortable in their familiar environment.

About: I have a golden retriever and a cat at home, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. My dog has anxiety, so I’m especially patient, gentle, and experienced with pets who need extra reassurance. Whether your pet is shy, playful, or somewhere in between, I’m attentive to their individual needs and routines. I’m here to provide calm, loving care that keeps them happy and you worry-free. I’m currently on my summer break, so I have a very open and flexible schedule for pet care! I’m available most days and can easily adjust to your pet’s routine. In September, I’ll be starting my Master’s classes three times a week, but I’ll still have plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, or visits around my class schedule. For now, I’m fully available and excited to spend time with some furry friends! I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow your routines closely from feeding schedules and potty breaks to playtime, walks, or cuddle time. I’m very respectful of your space and always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and calm in your absence.

About: I've been a petsitter since middle school. I've looked after cats and dogs both young and old, large and small. I'm very flexible and I take special care to keep each pet I care for comfortable and happy. I'm not currently employed, so I have plenty of time. I prefer late hours, but I can handle early risers too. I have a club event every second and fourth Tuesday; otherwise I'm fairly flexible with my activities. I will meet your pet wherever they are. If they need affection, I can give it; if they need space, I can give it. I put their well-being first, no matter what. If they make a mess, I will clean it up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Elizabeth is a great Pet walker and sitter. She has walked Toby every day for the past week, she is always on time to pick him up and he is always ready and happy to see her. After his walk he goes peacefully to sleep for a few hours so he is definitely getting exercise during the walk. She is flexible with the schedule and is open to changes. We will definitely use her services again. Thank you!

About: Everyone says I am a natural with animals. I have not met a pet that didn’t melt my heart . Every interaction with an animal is one of a kind and special in its own way. Dogs truly leave imprints in your heart they are family. I believe every dog is deserving of love , cuddles and lots of patience. Repetition and Redirecting with positive reinforcement are the keys to a well behaved pup. I will offer only what is best for your furry friend. Be assured that they will be in great loving hands with me and my family. When booked for day care or boarding. I would be following a schedule with your pet. We will have a fun day filled with routines, exercise and play time for cognitive stimulation My biggest goal is to make your pet feel safe and comfortable. They will always be kept separate from other pets I have at all times. Unless you request your pup to socialize. I will offer your pup a schedule that is fitting for them.

My husband, Anthony, and I have used Stacy’s services a few different times, both on and off Rover, for long vacations as well as short check-ins/walks. She has been a big help each and every time, making sure our pups were happy while also keeping us informed of how they were doing, which made us very comfortable and happy as well. Just yesterday, we asked her for a last minute booking because one of our family members, who usually watches our boys, suddenly became ill and told us she wouldn’t be able to come by to walk them while my husband and I attended an all-day event. I messaged Stacy right away and she responded very quickly, saying she’d be more than happy to help us out – even with such short notice! I couldn’t ask for a more friendly or professional sitter!! We will definitely be using Stacy’s services again in the near future.

  • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
