Ruby was so sweet and took very good care of Sarge. She sent pictures often and I could tell Sarge had a great weekend because he was exhausted when I got home! She also left everything very clean.

Kristen was great! She took care of my pup through some rough storms and helped keep her calm. Communicated with some cute pics as well. Also took the trash out when she was done with house sitting which she didn’t need to do! Would definitely recommend her :)

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always had a special love for them. Growing up with dogs has taught me how to understand their different personalities, needs, and routines. I’m patient, caring, and dependable, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving belly rubs, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable, I truly enjoy spending time with dogs of all ages and sizes. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care while you’re away. My goal is to make every dog feel happy, loved, and well cared for. I’m available Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and weekends from 11 AM to 8 PM for walks, visits, and loving pet care. I create a safe, trusted, and welcoming environment where dogs feel comfortable, loved, and cared for with patience, attention, and respect like they are family.

We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Mamie took such great care of our dogs while we were away, especially during the storms and Fourth of July fireworks, which can be stressful for them. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring and attentive hands. She was incredibly communicative, sending regular check-ins and lots of photos, which we truly appreciated. Seeing our pups happy and comfortable made it so much easier to relax while we were away. Highly recommend!

We are so happy to have found Erin. She spent the weekend with Koda and Parker while we were busy with our son's wedding and we didn't worry one bit because we knew they were being taken care of and loved. We came home to 2 happy dogs and a clean house! Thank you so much Erin.

About: I’ve learned and taken on responsibilities caring for animals, specifically dogs, at a young age. Nacho, my past rescue dog, lived to be about 15 years of age. He needed quite a lot of care in his old age, including joint supplements, pimobendan for his heart, and other treatments. I currently have two cats named Kirby and Sam. I would love to have a dog, but my living situation doesn’t allow currently for the quality of life they deserve. I work full-time as an aesthetician, but with some days off, so if you need a day or a time that you don’t see we may be able to work something out:) I ensure a clean environment with no hazardous materials around, ample enrichment, and all the love humanly possible. Full of healthy food and treats obviously🤪

Brianna is a godsend and a true joy! So knowledgeable, patient, understanding, & kind. My 1 year old lab has lots of puppy energy and she is well versed in handling all doggy personalities. She is timely with responses and bookings and truly goes the extra mile with everything she does from understanding your dog's needs to taking care of your home in your absence. She keeps you informed with updates and photos of your fur babies and ensures your home is clean & tidy. It was wonderful returning to my house completely in order and my doggies relaxed from playtime. Wholeheartedly recommend and am looking forward to having her as my go-to for sitting with my babies!

If you need a house/dog sitter, look no further! Lauren was absolutely awesome. We have a 100lb Doberman who is very sweet but he is high energy and can be a lot to handle for people not used to large high energy dogs. Lauren took care of him with no issues at all while staying at our house for 5 nights. She gave him regular walks and spent a ton of time with him. She also was great at sending pictures and updates. Finally, she took great care of our house and respected our rules. She was great all around!

My career in the pet care industry spans over a decade, beginning at age 13. Over the years, I have provided comprehensive services including dog walking, bathing, daily drop-ins, overnight care, and extended-stay boarding for dogs, cats, and small animals. My professional background includes serving as an animal care technician at two veterinary clinics, alongside completing two specialized summer internships in the bird and reptile departments at Zoo Knoxville (Tennessee). With over 1,000 hours of professional hands-on experience with exotic species, combined with a lifetime of domestic animal care, I offer a level of expertise that handles everything from high-energy dogs to delicate, specialized setups. As a dedicated pet owner myself to 2 cats and 2 snakes, I treat every animal in my care with the utmost respect, safety, and individual attention they deserve. While I do work a structured job, my schedule allows for great flexibility: Before & After Work: Available for extended morning or evening visits, long walks, and overnight care. Mid-Day Flexibility: I have an open mid-shift break that allows me to run out for quick drop-ins, potty breaks, or feedings. Consistency: My shift schedule means your pet gets a highly reliable, predictable care routine every day. I believe clear communication is the foundation of exceptional pet care. Your insights into your pet's unique routine, comfort levels, and behavior are invaluable to me. With my Zoo Science background and graduate-level studies in animal behavior, I am highly skilled at reading and adjusting to a wide variety of animal personalities. I have extensive experience managing complex behaviors, including crate and food aggression, and I know how to keep interactions safe, calm, and positive. After a detailed meeting, I hired her to stay overnight in my home with my dog Oliver for 4 nights while I was out of town. Oliver is ten years old and needs medication every twelve hours. I found Gabby to follow the schedule I left for her and was dependable. She respected my home and requests. I would hire her again.

I was nervous to use the app at first but after meeting her and her family I felt very comfortable leaving my puppy with her while I went out of town. I could tell right away that she is very knowledge about dogs and my puppy Mia loved her and her family! She sent updates and pictures which was really nice as well. I would definitely book with Cassandra again!

This was the first time Kristen stayed with my pups. She was wonderful! She is a very kind and caring sitter. One of my pups became ill on the very first day of her stay. Kristen stayed in constant communication with me. She took Teddy to my veterinarian to get the care he needed. I know it was a stressful situation (Teddy was throwing up multiple times) but Kristen was a true professional. I highly recommend her!

FAQs for House Sitting - Carnot-Moon

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Carnot-Moon on Rover is $37.74 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,449 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Carnot-Moon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carnot-Moon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carnot-Moon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carnot-Moon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carnot-Moon. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 91% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
