About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. (my soul dog’s ashes are in my paw tattoo 🐾🩷) I grew up with Rottweilers and currently have two of my own, Gino & Haus, they're my whole world! I also have a handful of kitties🥰 My passion for animal care goes back as far as I can remember. From baby videos of me crawling on my dog and giving him a big hug & kiss, to completing a veterinary training class in 10th grade, where I learned the basics of animal health and handling! There even was one time I rescued two dogs on the side of the highway who had dug out of their backyard!! I now have about 3.5 years of hands-on experience working with animals, including two years at doggy daycares, where I've cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I treat every pet like they're my own and I always try my best to give them a safe, loving, reliable person they can trust just as much as they trust you, no matter how long it takes them to warm up to me. Working with animals is more than just a job to me—it's what I love, and I plan to make it my lifelong career. I work at a doggy daycare with a flexible schedule, so my availability varies from week to week. I am almost always able to stay overnight for house sitting, and depending on my work schedule, I can spend all day, all morning, or all afternoon and evening with your pet. I always try to spend as much time as I can with your baby. (leaving work is as hard as you can imagine) My most common shift is 1:00 PM–7:00 PM, though I can also work morning, afternoon, and split shifts, though the weekday morning shifts are extremely rare. My weekday shifts are never longer than 6.5 hours, and the only time I may be away for up to 10 hours is on the occasional Saturday when I'm scheduled for a longer shift. On Sundays, I usually work split shifts, which means I'm able to come home and spend about 2½ hours with your pet between work periods. If it's a good fit for your pet and you're comfortable with it, I'd also be happy to talk about bringing them with me to my work so they can enjoy extra socialization, enrichment, and attention, while never leaving my side! I'm committed to keeping your babies routine as normal as possible and will always communicate my schedule ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect!! Your babies safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priority. I love to take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and other special needs so they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away, as if you haven’t even left! I am experienced in administering medications, following food schedules, and providing extremely gentle and personal care. Walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I'll always make sure your baby gets plenty of exercise, attention, playtime, and affection (and making sure they know it!!) while I keep their routine as normal and consistent as I possibly can! I treat every pet as if they were my own, and pay close attention to their behavior so I can quickly notice and respond accordingly with any changes or concerns. You will also always get regular updates and photos about how they were and their day!

Very thankful for Alisha. Astrid can be sassy, but she took to Alisha really well. Alisha visited every day and took care of food, water, litterbox, and play. Will absolutely book with her the next time I'm out of town.

Kelly is great with pets and we will definitely call her in the future. She was only scheduled to visit our cat but our puppy got kicked out of his boarding facility as we were in the middle of a ten hour drive to vacation. Kelly stepped in and helped take care of our puppy too and saved our much needed vacation. Thank you Kelly!

About: A couple of months after we married my husband adopted our first dog, Sandy, and I’ve been hooked ever since. That was 26 years ago. Both of my sons are adults now so I have free time to focus my attention on your baby. Your baby will have my undivided attention. My property is fenced and I will accompany your baby outdoors. We can play fetch or simply keep each other company. I will do what it takes to make your baby comfortable and happy.

About: I have 3 pets of my own that I love so so much (2 cats and a dog). I have always cared for my neighbors pets as they have relied on me for the past few years every now and then. I have experience with both cats and dogs and have been pet sitting locally for 3 or 4 years now. I am comfortable with walking, feeding, and bathing pets. Hopefully you can rely on me to look after your pets this summer! I am currently in college at Duquesne University and am looking for some extra work this summer. I am looking to start work at a daycare part time but not until later so I thought this opportunity would be perfect. I will have plenty of free time until then to look after your pets! I have 2 cats and a dog who are my baby’s. I do not do boarding in my own home due to a temperament issue of our younger cat, but gladly will visit your fur baby’s and care for them that way! I am very trustworthy and can communicate well if there are any issues. I know some animals have dietary restrictions and such and will make sure to follow any instructions of care necessary.

About: I have had corgis, very pushy dogs, my entire life. I have had puppies and elder dogs and have taken care of them and walked them through it all. I work more in the afternoon and night as a an employee at Plato’s closet so my availability is more in the mornings! I am very flexible and don’t mind sleeping at hosts’ houses even if it’s a week day! I am always ready to play with the dogs or just cuddle with them! Whether that be playing or laying, I will keep the dogs comfortable no matter what.

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. After caring for my own dog for the past 10 years and watching others over the years, I've become comfortable adapting to different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I'm attentive to changes in behavior and can recognize when a dog may be anxious or not feeling like themselves. With an active lifestyle, I'm also happy to provide walks, playtime, and plenty of exercise based on your dog's needs. I live in Sewickley Heights and know there are plenty of busy pet parents in the surrounding neighborhoods who could use a helping hand. Whether your dog needs a walk or potty break, some company, or fresh food, I'm happy to stop by and care for them while you're away. Most visits are about 30 minutes, but I'm flexible if your pet needs a little extra time. You'll receive photos and updates after every visit, so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. For now, I provide care in your home, which is often the least stressful option for pets since they can stay comfortable in their own familiar space. If that changes in the future, I live in a three-story townhouse with a backyard for potty breaks and nearby walking trails that would make a great environment for boarding or daycare.

About: I’ve lived with cats my entire life and have cared for nine cats over the years, so understanding cats of all personalities comes very naturally to me. I genuinely enjoy caring for cats across the full range of temperaments—from social and playful to quiet and independent—and I approach every visit with calm attentiveness and respect for each cat’s individual style. I’m also very familiar with dogs and their care, having helped care for dogs since childhood. I’m comfortable with small, well-mannered adult dogs and focus on keeping visits safe, predictable, and low-stress. In addition to cats and dogs, I have experience caring for small animals, including a fire-bellied lizard, fish, and parakeets. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions and understand the importance of consistency and gentle handling for animals with specialized routines. During visits, I always provide updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel confident they’re being well cared for. My goal is to offer reliable, thoughtful care that helps pets feel secure and comfortable in their own homes while their people are away. Pet care fits into my routine in a structured and predictable way. On weekdays, I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks after work between 5:45–7:00 PM. On weekends, I’m available Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, which allows for more flexibility. I currently offer drop-in visits and dog walking, and I’m happy to do walks as long as weather conditions are safe. I do not offer overnight care. My schedule is consistent, and I’m careful to only accept bookings I can reliably and comfortably accommodate. All care takes place in the client’s home—I do not offer boarding, daycare, or in-home care at my residence. I follow written care instructions exactly and prioritize maintaining each pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. For transparency, I occasionally bring my toddler with me on drop-in visits; for safety, pets and child are always kept separate, with no direct interaction. I do not introduce client pets to other people or animals. During each visit, I complete basic safety checks such as ensuring doors are secure, food and water needs are met, litter boxes or potty routines are handled, and the overall environment feels calm and safe. I communicate promptly if anything seems out of the ordinary and always provide updates so pet parents can feel confident their pets are well cared for.

About: Now serving Coraopolis/Moon/Robinson/Oakdale/Imperial! I've spent over twenty years caring for dogs and cats of all temperaments — from energetic pups to quirky seniors. My own adopted fur family has taught me patience, communication, and how to meet each pet where they are. Whether it’s a walk, a brush, or a belly rub, I focus on keeping pets active, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I treat every animal like they’re my own — because that’s what they deserve. Got an odd schedule? I’ve got you! Life gets messy — last-minute trips, half-day errands, or just a few hours away. That’s where I come in. My availability shifts week to week, but that makes me the perfect fit for one-off needs, unusual timeframes, or gaps others can’t cover. If our calendars line up, I’ll gladly stop by for a walk, visit, or check-in. Flexible, caring, and here when you need me most -so long as our schedules sync up! I'd be happy to chat and determine if our availability works for what you are looking for, or if you'd prefer to keep as a last resort when plans fall through! I keep pets active, safe, and engaged. If there’s a fenced yard and the weather’s right, we’ll enjoy time outside. I’m also happy to take pets to local parks or trails (with your permission, of course). Toys, leashes, and other gear should be provided, but I’m open to arrangements if you need support with supplies. My goal is always to respect your pet’s routine while keeping them happy and secure in familiar or safe surroundings.

Kelly was a fantastic sitter. I was very anxious about leaving my cats for such an extended period of time as we had just had to put one of our cats to sleep end of April. Kelly was communicative with us, she also brought in packages and took out the garbage as needed. She won over our Ginger cat who was acting shy around her. We came back to clean litter boxes and both of our cats were in good shape. She was wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone.

Stephanie was a fantastic cat sitter! It was clear from the meet and greet that she knew how to interact with pets unfamiliar with her (she also got to meet my dog), and she even understood the strict diet my cat has for a food allergy. When two days before my vacation my cat suddenly needed to go on liquid steroids, Stephanie was up to the task! She was very communicative about the medication progress as well as how my cat was doing. Stephanie even went above and beyond with little things to make sure my cat and house were okay over the 8 day booking. I will absolutely use Stephanie again and highly recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carnot-Moon. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
