“Brooke is responsive and nice! She did a great job taking care of our girl, Sadie Mae. my only feedback to her would be to send more updates with pictures too! 5 star service besides that, thanks Brooke.”

About: Hi, I’m Kimberly! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them isn’t just my job—it’s something I truly enjoy. I’m currently unemployed, so I’m always home, I always have time for playing with and cuddling with your pets! They will always be exhausted and loved I would prefer to do an overnight in your home as to not stress your pets out too much! They will be very cared for

About: I have had experience caring for all sorts of animals since I was 11 years old. Including cats and exotics. I am also a professional dog and cat groomer with 4 years of experience as well as a grooming certification. I am currently a full time pet groomer with a flexible schedule. I work in the afternoon so I will always be available mornings and nights. I will always treat your pets as if they are mine own and I will be sure to follow any rule or specification that you leave for their care.
About: 🐾 Hello there, fellow pet lovers! My name is Clayton, and I’m here to give you peace of mind when it comes to caring for your furry family members. 🐶 I recently moved to Fayetteville, NC to begin my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at Methodist University, but I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years — ever since I was 14! My mom used to drive me to my first clients before I even had my license, and I’ve been caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities ever since. I have a toy Pomeranian named Dakota, so I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust to look after your pets like their own. Whether your pup loves long walks, belly rubs, or just relaxing company, I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. ⸻ 🕓 My Schedule As a DPT student, I keep a structured but flexible schedule that allows me plenty of time to care for pets throughout the week: • Monday: Class from 8 AM–1 PM and 2–5:45 PM, but I always come home for lunch in between. • Tuesday: No classes — available all day for walks, drop-ins, or house sitting. • Wednesday: Class 8–11 AM & 2–6 PM, free midday. • Thursday: Class 8–11 AM & 12–2 PM, free afternoons. • Friday: Class 8–12 PM, free after lunch. • Weekends: Fully available! I live just 4 minutes from campus, which makes coming home during the day easy. I already go home daily to take Dakota out, so I’m used to keeping a consistent and reliable routine for pets. ⸻ ❤️ What You Can Expect 🌞 Regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention to keep tails wagging 🍽️ Feeding and medication schedules carefully followed 🐾 Updates, photos, and open communication so you’re always in the loop 🤗 Genuine love and affection for every animal in my care Every pet is unique, and I take time to learn what makes them happiest — whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or calm company. ⸻ If you’re looking for a trustworthy, experienced sitter who treats your pets like family, I’d love to help. Let’s set up a meet and greet so I can meet your furry friends! 🐕❤️ First time booking? Use my link for $20 off your first Rover stay (new clients only): 👉 https://www.rover.com/sit/claytc90138 🕒 Availability and Schedule 🕒 I know every pet has their own rhythm, and I’m committed to providing dependable, loving care that fits smoothly around your schedule! Current Schedule with Midday Flexibility: I’m currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Methodist University, living just 4 minutes from campus, which makes it easy for me to come home during the day. My weekly class schedule is: • Monday: 8 AM–1 PM & 2–5:45 PM (home for lunch in between) • Tuesday: No classes — fully available all day • Wednesday: 8–11 AM & 2–6 PM (free midday) • Thursday: 8–11 AM & 12–2 PM (free afternoons) • Friday: 8–12 PM (free after lunch) Early-Morning Routine: I’m an early riser and wake up around 5 AM every weekday to work out before class. My dog usually sleeps in until I get back, shower, and put food in her bowl — but if your dog prefers an early start, I’m more than happy to accommodate! If they like to sleep in, that’s fine too — I can match their pace. Mornings, Afternoons & Weekends: I’m available most mornings before class, afternoons after class, and have full availability on Tuesdays and weekends for boarding, drop-ins, or longer stays. On weekends, I usually wake up a little later (6:30–7:30 AM), so the routine just shifts slightly later to match a more relaxed pace. I already go home daily to care for my own toy Pomeranian, so maintaining a reliable and consistent routine for pets is second nature to me. Even with a busy school schedule, I make the most of every moment spent with your pets—treating them like family every step of the way. Feel free to reach out, and we can chat about what works best for you and your furry companion! 🐾 🏡 Safety, Trust & Environment 🏡 I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. My home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly — a cozy space where animals can relax and feel right at home. I share my apartment with my 8-year-old Toy Pomeranian, Dakota, who’s friendly, gentle, and used to being around other dogs once acclimated (she’s usually a little afraid of other dogs but makes friends quickly in her own space). She enjoys daily walks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles, so visiting pets always have good company. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I bring that same level of attention and reliability. I make sure each pet feels secure, respected, and loved in their familiar environment — following your routines closely to keep things as stress-free and consistent as possible.
“Shaná, we are blessed having you care for our fur children! When we return home, they’re always so happy! The level of comfort they experience being able to stay in their home when we are away is priceless! Shaná, thank you for leaving our home in exceptional condition each time you stay. We look forward to booking your services again 💗💚🙂”

“Love her!! Recommended by a friend and she was absolutely wonderful. My dog seemed to really be happy and comfortable with her and she was able to stay an extra night after my flights were cancelled. I'll DEFINITELY be booking with her again.”
About: Hi! I’m Gabriel, a veteran, teacher, and lifelong animal lover with plenty of experience caring for dogs. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I live in an apartment but only board one dog at a time, so your pet gets plenty of individual attention. I’m very active and enjoy long walks, and there’s a dog park nearby where I can take your dog to run and play. As a teacher in a year-round district, I also have extended breaks when I’m available for full-time pet care, which works well for longer trips or vacations. I look forward to giving your pet great care and giving you peace of mind. I’m available to board most weekends and especially during my school breaks since I work on a year-round schedule. On workdays I’m off by 3:00 PM, which allows me to stop by homes in the afternoon and evening to care for pets. My Home: I have one dog named Libby who can keep your pup company. I only take one additional dog at a time, so your pet will receive plenty of individual attention. I also live near the Cape Fear River Trail and walk it regularly, so your dog will get plenty of outdoor time and exercise. Client’s Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful, attentive, and professional. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to make sure your pet stays comfortable and in their normal routine.
“This is my second time having Zoey pet sit my toy Maltipoo and cat. I am very pleased and very comfortable having her spend the night, watching my fur babies. I trust her completely with my home and my precious pets! I will definitely call Zoey for all my pet sitting needs! I appreciate receiving pictures and updates while I am away! Thank you Zoey! 😘”

About: Being apart from my furbabies made me start doing dog sitting, and I fell in loved with the experience and how it turned our home more fun and exciting and have decided to keep it going. I’m an Air Force veteran and used to work on call for 14 hour shifts, an hour away from home, 3-4 days a week and the worst was leaving my dog. I always wanted people to send me pictures, texts, updates, etc. but rarely could get them so I GET IT!!! I send tons of pictures, possibly a bit overboard, I know how much it means to people who travel. I do everything that I used to want when I traveled!!! To help ensure that we will be the right fit for you and your dog, please make sure you read this entire profile and understand any additional fees that may apply (listed at end of profile) before contacting me to avoid rate misunderstandings. Rates are inclusive of all care required within our home or at your home, along with plenty of photos/ videos, sent to your preferred method or in a group chat with your loved ones so you can share the moments together even you are away from each other. Please understand that just because your dog is friendly and gets excited when seeing or meeting other dogs, it does not mean they are completely socialized. Some dogs can trigger others by not respecting personal space (both with dogs and humans) therefore I would have to correct that behavior so they know how to act the next time that scenario occurs. I also want to be consistent with the boundaries and structure you as the owner have provided in order to keep your dog balanced in this new environment. Most of all, please be honest about your dog's habits so that I can be prepared to best care for your furbaby. Please understand that the less time I spend correcting them, the more time I can spend giving them love and fun. My goal is to make sure all the doggies have a blast; however, beyond that our priority is their safety and that they are a good fit for our pack. Therefore if it is not a last minute request then I always require a meet-and-greet. Please note I don't usually accept last minute requests for services in my home but I am happy to assist if available, depending on pack compatibility and ability to separate if needed. Dogs that are not from the same household are not left unsupervised together. If I am hosting multiple guests you will be informed. However your dog will need to be crated (or left in the playpen) when left unsupervised since this is our home and it wouldn’t be unexpected for a dog to potentially act differently in a new place than at their own home. Which is also why we request owners being their pup’s own crate (when possible) that they are already used to so they are comfortable being in it when at new place. ***POLICIES & ADDITIONAL FEES*** Holiday fee- Per Rover policy, applies to all nights/ walks/ drop-ins on a booking. This fee is applied to every pet for boarding/ daycare services and to the first pet on Drop-in/ Walks services. Holiday fee is applicable to the entire stay when it overlap the holiday day or the weekend of the following federal and cultural holidays: - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - President's Day - Valentine's Day - Easter - Memorial Day - 4th of July - Labor Day - Halloween - Thanksgiving (Wednesday- Sunday) - Christmas through New Year's (Dec. 23rd- Jan.2nd) Unaltered dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may incur an additional fee if it is determined special accommodations need to be made. Females in heat are never accepted for any boarding or daycare guests. If your dog comes into heat during a stay, you will be required to make immediate alternate pet care arrangements through an emergency contact, your vet office or other. If arrangements are not made in a timely manner, an additional daily fee of $100 will be applied. If your pup is older than 2 and is still a strong leash puller or has behavioral issues that require significant attention, then there is an additional charge of $5/ night. This is because as strong leash puller is more physically demanding and throws off the balance of the rest of the pack. When a dog is unable to walk with the pack it often results in requiring me to do extra walks which takes playtime and TLC away from other dogs. I want to enjoy the walk as much as your dog therefore please also be mindful of the type of collar, harness and leash you use on your pups since it can play a huge role on how your dog walks and whether you can make it heel for you. Please make sure you always provide sitters with the correct tools for your specific dog (and their unique behavior) which means an appropriate collar or harness. I am happy to provide suggestions and give you some options. Additional examples of behavioral issues would be dogs that are chronic whiners or barkers and if your adult dog has a history of indoor marking, please be honest and understand we may need to crate it for up to 4-6 hrs max (usually less). It's not right for any sitter to have to clean up after a grown dog and if you are honest with us about potential issues you are aware of then we can be pro-active in preventing accidents. New clients: Test daycare or overnight stay required for anything longer than one night (especially holidays) so we can make sure it's a good fit. If your dog shows any aggression toward other dogs, this would not be a good fit. Because I do Rover full time, I need to make sure your dog is completely good with all ages of dogs (some dogs just don't like puppy energy.) I can separate them but I prefer not to for longer stays and/or holiday weeks. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week. As a small business owner, I manage my own schedule, making it easy to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits with advance notice. I keep my calendar up to date and only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to, ensuring every pet receives dependable, attentive care. I treat every client’s home with the same care and respect I would my own. During each visit, I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of affection. I always ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, clean up after pets, and send updates with photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve had dozens of different animals since I was young. Ranging from farm animals, domestic animals, parrots and reptiles. Medication administration experience and bottle feeding as well. No care details are too extra or complicated. I am open to sitting any type of animal! I am home full time aside from errands with my little ones. I have a mini farm as I call it. Dogs, chickens, cats, ducks and more. I am outside majority of the day. We do love going to the park where my bulldog enjoys the dog area as well, so if you’re ok with it, trips to the park may be part of your pets stay! My farm is not completely fenced in, but I do have a fenced in area attached to the front of the house for the animals with plenty of space! I have a very long gravel driveway away from the main road. I have leads, collars, harnesses and cages if needed. I have baby gates in home if needed as well. My two dogs love everyone, they can just be overly friendly! Our oldest cat’s go outside a lot, so they are usually busy all day. Our youngest cat loves to play with everyone including dogs, but likes to stay inside. My female dog is not spayed, un neutered males will either be supervised or separated at night time.
About: I’ve had my own pets since I was old enough to walk! I have a cat and great dane, and have had many other small pets in the past. I walk my great dane every day and I am happy to take care of your little loved ones! I am a full time student and work/volunteer part time, so I try to be as flexible as I can with clients. I am happy to make space in my schedule to take care of your furry friends! I do not leave pets unattended. I am very observant and quick on my feet. Your pets safety is my #1 concern. My pets get loads of love and attention they need at home
“Chelsea was WONDERFUL! My husband and I rarely leave our girls and when we do, we’re very cautious. Chelsea sent so many pictures and checked in with us consistently. Will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I’m a newly Certified Vet assistant who deeply loves caring for pets! I’m also certified in Diet and Nutrition as well as Pet CPR. Taking care of animals has always been my biggest passion! I’m currently working part time so this leaves room to be attentive and in the moment while caring for your pets while still leaving room for certain all day/ over night needs as well as just drop ins. I have two friendly female medium/ large dogs. We have a fenced in back yard with lots of space to play. We would love to have your pet over!

“Five stars isn't enough! Tyreika stayed at our home and took absolutely wonderful care of our fur babies. She followed all care instructions perfectly, kept us updated with great communication, and left the house immaculate. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were safe, loved, and in such great hands. We will absolutely be booking her again!"”

FAQs for House Sitting - Carlos
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Carlos on Rover is $26.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,070 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Carlos. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carlos walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carlos maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carlos choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carlos. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
