About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember! I have a cat named Ziggy and live with my family's two German Shepherds, Phoenix and Krypton. Over the past six years, I've had several opportunities to house-sit for family and friends, caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, as well as cats, birds, tortoise, and fish. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or someone to stay with them while you're away, I'm happy to give them plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and cuddles! I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, multiple pets at once, and pets who need medication or a little extra patience and attention. I'm also happy to help with things around the house while you're gone, such as bringing in the mail, watering plants, taking out the trash, etc. Most importantly, I'll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule while I'm transitioning back into accounting and searching for my next career opportunity, so I'm available any day of the week and at a variety of times. I'm happy to accommodate your pet's routine and can stay overnight at your home for short or extended stays. I'm generally looking for 2-3 days' notice, but feel free to reach out and ask about last-minute needs! Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities! I'm comfortable caring for pets in their own home and following their usual feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines. I'm also comfortable walking large dogs, using crates when needed, and handling both fenced and unfenced yards safely. While house sitting, I'm happy to spend lots of time with your pets - going for walks, playing, giving them plenty of love and attention, or simply keeping them company while I'm on my laptop, watching television, or helping out with any house chores. I'll always communicate with you ahead of time if I need to leave the home for any reason and will treat your pets and your home with care and respect.

About: My friends and family have relied on me to look after their dogs when they’re at work or out of town. My care consists of lots of love, running around in parks and more. I have experience in taking care of cats, dogs and elders! I’m a full time college student, as well as working for Rover part time. I will have lots of time to love and care for your pets! I am available on weekends for boarding and weekdays after 5pm. I have cared for my giant dog for the past 7 years. I love playing with him in the backyard, taking him out for runs and to the parks, as well as grooming his coat.

About: We are devoted dog enthusiasts! Having grown up with dogs and many other pets, we welcome your dog as family and care for them as we would our own. Our charming pugs greet all dogs and love playing together in our enclosed yard, reached through a pet door. We understand both puppies and older dogs—one of our pugs is 15 years old, and we’ve nurtured our companions since infancy. We both work from home so all dogs will have ongoing attention day in/day out. Our pugs are allowed on our furniture, but I will abide with guests' home rules, so no bad behaviors will be learned, but will be spoiled with walks, treats and plenty of love and attention. We are happy to have a meet and greet prior to boarding for added peace-of-mind for dog parents. While with us, your fur babies will be treated like they are part of our family.

About: I grew up in a home filled with animals, so caring for furry family members has always come naturally to me. During the 7+ years I lived in Philadelphia, I taught at a large charter school and began house and pet sitting on the side for fellow teachers and staff. Over the years, I had the privilege of caring for so many sweet furry babies, including pets who needed extra attention, medication, and around-the-clock care. I truly grew attached to many of them and missed them dearly when my Philly chapter came to a close in 2024. Today, I proudly call Sacramento home and am excited to share that same love and care with a new community of pet friends! I’m a firm believer that animals can see and feel the energy of humans in ways we sometimes cannot. I lead with warmth, patience, attentiveness, and genuinely good energy…and animals tend to pick up on that pretty quickly. I’ve yet to meet a furry friend who didn’t eventually warm up to me. 😊 I’m especially comfortable caring for pets who need a little extra support, including administering medications, following detailed routines, and providing consistent care throughout the day or night. I work best with thoughtful pet parents who deeply care for their animals, their homes, and the energy within both. I love nature and take many walks/hikes as a form of self care. About: As someone who grew up with dogs, both small and large, I've learned what it takes to make sure the puppies are well cared for, between giving them the right food, making sure they go on walks, and grooming. Our pets are our best friends and so we should take the greatest care of them, and I'm willing to do that for all animals alike. I'm currently a part time worker both on weekends and weekdays and have lots of time to dedicate to taking care of pets. The only time I would not be able to offer my services is dueing weekends. In my home, I have a fenced yard to allow for our big huskies to have space to play and run, offering them toys that I know would keep them entertained. I also make sure to clean my dogs and ensure they eat healthily.

About: My experience comes from owning not just dogs (XL-XS) and cats, but many animals in my lifetime. To me, living with these animals is the best way to gain experience. I have also done many house sitting jobs for people with lots of pets, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. To me, the most important thing is establishing trust with your sitter, and I am a guaranteed safe person to trust any animal with. I’m great at reading animal body language and typically do well with all pets. I work at Panera, so my hours are not crazy, and never are usually longer than 4 hours, so pet sitting works great with my schedule. My college is also online so that doesn’t effect my schedule for the most part. In a clients home, it’s important to follow all of the instructions they provide, while also making their pets feel as if the owners never left.

About: I’ve grown up taking care of dogs, fish, and especially cats! I have training from the SPCA on dog walking, cat care, and some skill/behavioral training for both cats and dogs. I have 3 years of fish keeping experience. I currently have my own cat (he’s orange!) and I am fostering a mother and her kitten for the time being. I am willing to help clean around the house as well! I have indoor/outdoor plants and I can take care of your plants while you are away - I have a green thumb :) I’ve helped friends and clients with farm animals, including feeding and cleaning their spaces. If directed I can help with other farm projects. I have a pretty busy schedule, but can set aside time on my busy days for drop-ins. I am free to stay at the house with your pet on my off days! To paint a better picture for you of what my availability looks like, my schedule alternates between busy and free days every other day. So if you need 24/7 in-home pet care I am not your best fit, but you can still ask if you’d like! I might be able to work something out for you :) Thank you for your consideration! About: It has been said to me that my first words as a child were ... barking! While I don't remember that, I do remember always having a connection with all furry companions. I grew up with dogs and cats and on occasion would visit my great grandparents' ranch, with horses, goats and more. I loved giving the animals snacks. More recently, I moved onto a small farm. I helped take care of over a dozen chickens and 2 turkeys; feeding, watering, cleaning the coop. My formal career experience has been in education. In addition to many childcare and classroom support jobs, I also taught public school for 5 years. In either environment, my natural tendency is using my natural empathy to provide personalized care. I am not only a sitter on Rover, but have used the service myself to board my cat before. I know what it's like to leave your baby in someone else's hands! Please communicate specifically to me so that we can rest assured all needs are met for your beloved pet(s). I will treat your furry family member like I would want mine to be treated - patiently, attentively, carefully and lovingly - and only ask that you communicate any expectations or other information clearly and thoroughly. I work part-time as an in-home Instructor for developmentally disabled adults. This is only during weekdays. My availability will vary due to the unique schedule of that job. For example, if a client has a cold, that would be a cancellation on short notice, which would allow me to be available with Rover. So far I've had sufficient flexibility to pet sit and especially housesit in the area. I will reply to your request ASAP and we can go from there. Thank you! For this reason, I prefer to fill my schedule on a day-to-day basis, or at least weekly. I'm happy to answer any questions about specifics, so there is no confusion. About: My pet care experience began when I started living with my uncle as a teenager. Back in the Philippines, he would rescue puppies and keep them in the house until he could find them a foster home. After school, I would go straight home and take care of the rescues. I would feed them and keep them hydrated, and then take them out for a walk. I also taught them tricks until they could master it without treats. I strongly believed that training is an essential part of their growth. When I moved here, I adopted Astrid as a puppy and she has been with me for 3 years now. My main skills with pets includes strict attention to time management, understanding their behaviors, and attending to their needs. Other skills include having patience, clear communication with owners, being on time, and being responsible with the duties given. I currently work part-time as a cook in a nursing home. On my days off, I usually stay at home either on my computer or take my dog to play outside. I have a lot of leisure time on these days, and I believe that pet sitting will fulfill these times and keep me busy. In my home, I ensure that my dog sleeps and naps comfortably when tired. I make sure that there’s food for her and water always refilled. I keep my dog active by walking around the neighborhood and going to the playground. I also play the guitar and sing songs to her when there is nothing else to do. When she wants to go outside, I let her run free in the backyard surrounded with fences and have a shaded area for her when it gets too hot. I would also leave the door open in case she wants a colder environment which is inside the house. In a client’s home, I would ensure that their pets are well fed and hydrated. If there is an accident, I would willingly be responsible for that and take care of it. I would make sure that their pets are also being engaged in activities so that they would feel less bored when the parents aren’t home.
