“Ava was excellent director by her time as our sitter. She did drop in visits with our cat, and she was very communicative. We will use Ava again when we need to go out of town!”

“Maurissa was great to work with! She looked after our 3 dogs (2 of whom have anxiety) while we were out of town and did a wonderful job. Highly recommend her, and we’ll request her again in the future for sure!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and bring both experience and genuine care to every pet I watch. I was raised on a farm surrounded by animals, and I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, including a small dog I cared for over 16 years. I currently have an 8-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, so I’m very comfortable with puppy energy, routines, and reinforcement of basic training. I work as a teacher Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Because of this, I’m most available for pet care in the mornings, evenings, and overnight stays during the week. My schedule also allows for consistent availability on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, which gives me extra flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and extended care. When caring for pets, I prioritize maintaining their normal routines and making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship outside of my work hours.
About: As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family and deserve the very best care. I am dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented, and I take pride in following care instructions exactly as requested to help keep your pet comfortable, happy, and stress-free while you’re away. I have experience caring for pets who require extra attention, including administering medications, monitoring health concerns, following special feeding instructions, and maintaining medication schedules. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or a senior who needs a little extra patience and care, I am committed to meeting their individual needs with kindness and compassion. My husband says we’re not allowed to add any more pets to our family, so I’d love the opportunity to spoil yours instead! My goal is to make both you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for, and to treat every furry family member as if they were my own. As a stay-at-home wife, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, reliable care and accommodate a variety of booking requests. Communication is very important to me, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and quick responses for added peace of mind while you’re away. I am happy to care for pets in either my home or the client’s home, depending on what works best for the pet and owner. I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, exercise, playtime, medication schedules, and lots of love and attention. I follow all instructions carefully and provide regular updates and photos to keep owners informed while their pets are in my care.

“Laura has been lovely to work with! Not our first review and very likely not our last. She has sat for our pup multiple times in various forms and it’s always a positive experience. She sends multiple photos, keeps us updated on his potty and drink status, and genuinely shows she cares about him, which is most important in my book!”

“Savannah did an amazing job with Blu. It was great to get updates and hear that he was a good dog for her during the visits. She took pictures and overall it was a great experience and I would recommend Savannah and Rover to anyone I know!”

“Elizabeth was great with my dog and puppy! She was on time, communicative, and great for our girls. She helped keep our minds at ease while we were on a trip. I would definitely have her dogsit again!”

“Danielle is great! Went out of town for a week and she dropped in daily to feed and check on our cats. She constantly updated me about the pets and followed instructions we left for them. She is great!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since childhood! Dogs, cats, fish, turtles, goats, ducks, chickens etc. I also, love animals!! You can trust me with your best friends! I am currently available whenever! At the moment taking care of 4 dogs. After, next Sunday I watch your furry friends whenever I am needed! I have 4 dogs at the moment. I hang out with them in the house, take for walks and play when they want to play!
“Kyra was patient and willing to work with our reactive dogs! She was on time for our appointment and very friendly. She listened to our instructions carefully and carried out professionally. She was calm and loving to both our pets. Will definitely be recommending her to our friends and family and will definitely be using her services again!”

“Maddie took great care of our cat while we were out of town. Communication was great from the initial meet and greet to the last visit. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I have taken care of a vast majority of pets but mostly cats and dogs. I have watched over many dog breeds especially ones with certain medical needs I am currently an online only student so I have plenty of free time to offer clients for those pets that need it. I can make the best out of any situation. Coming into a client’s home I will always ask the routine and/or needs your pet(s) has and make sure to keep them company when they need it
About: I’ve taken care of many pets in my life. My first dogs, Buster and Honey lived to 13. They were my souls dogs. When they passed, I found my next girl at the Humane society. Her name is Zoey. She was 9 when we adopted her and now she’s 11. We found our other dog Bucee running loose in the road in Georgia at a Bucees travel plaza. I home cook their meals and they get regular daily exercise and lots of love. Pets are family. I’m a photographer with a somewhat flexible schedule. With advance notice, I can check my schedule to make sure I’m available. Weekdays generally are more flexible than weekends. I can take care of your pets meals and give them plenty of play time while at your home. If they just want cuddles, I’m good with that, too. I am here to help your pet smile :)
About: I grew up in a house full of animals! I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, and fish since I was a kid. I dog-sat and cat-sat for my neighbors growing up. I also have 2 cats of my own now 🙂 I work full-time as an SLP at an elementary school. I wanted to keep doing this on the side because I love animals ☺️ I am not available weekdays until after around 4:30/5pm. I am free all day on weekends, though! I am off for summers so May 23-August 1 I am available all day! I will ensure that your pet’s harness and/or leash is secure. I will make sure to keep doors closed to ensure your pet does not get out.

Krystal watched my 2 cats every other day for over 3 weeks. They warmed up to her very quickly. You can tell she loves cats and enjoys spending time with them. Even with my crazy schedule, she was able to accommodate me. She is a great communicator, and I will be using Krystal again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Canal Winchester. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
