“Leah and her sister made a great team taking care of my pup! He was so calm and happy when I came back. I was really nervous to leave him, but they put me at ease with their capable caring hands. They spent plenty of time with him and communicated with me late at night and in the morning too. It gave me so much confidence that I actually can spend a weekend away from him if I need to!”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

“Haley was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of Enzo, Echo, Max, and Zach while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept us updated, treated our pets like they were her own, and gave us complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and it was obvious they were comfortable with her. Haley is reliable, caring, and professional, and we would not hesitate to book her again. We highly recommend Haley to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of our crew!”

“Heather kept our dog safe and sound while we were out of town! She was flexible about a change to feeding that our vet required shortly before her stay and made adjustments as necessary to make sure our dog was eating enough. She also administered medication with no issues. Heather was always responsive to my messages and kept me up to date about how our pup was doing. She was respectful of our home and left things neat and clean. I would hire her again!”

“She was simply great! We have 2 fluffy huskies and one is diabetic, which means that has a VERY rigid and strict schedule and also requires injections. Taylor was on point with updates via texts and followed every single direction we have her. Absolutely amazing job! We'll be coming back to her 100%”

“Colleen stood out immediately from other caregivers because of her focus on details and learning everything necessary to provide the best care for our dogs during her pre stay visit. She asked many thorough questions and took faithful notes about our pups many needed medications, special diet, health conditions and outdoor routines. We could tell how important it was to her that our dogs receive the right amount of attention and the least possible disruption during our absence. Because our dogs are seniors and may react if left alone for too long, she cheerfully arranged her schedule to stay throughout the day and overnight. Colleen also asked about our home, any expected visitors, watering of plants, how we wanted the mail and packages handled, along with any areas the pups were not allowed. She made sure she had our vet's information, along with a nearby neighbor she could call if needed. Colleen also sent many pictures and videos so we could see for ourselves that they were having a good time and in good hands. Her professionalism gave us the confidence and comfort level to enjoy our time away from home. As a welcome bonus, linens were washed, dried and dishwasher had been run. If any of these things are important to you then we would strongly recommend you consider hiring Colleen.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was about six years old. I always watched neighbor's animals and cared for them as well as family and friends. I have no issues with giving medications orally to an animal and getting them their exercise in a backyard, going for a walk, or even going to the dog park to go have fun. My goal in life is to pursue a career working with animals while caring for my children. I am currently working 9-5 while I am going through college. Tuesdays, I am not available from 2 PM to 315, but before and after that I am available. I am also available before work and after work to care for your pets. I am comfortable with using a dog lead if your pet requires it or just taking them on a walk if you do not have a fenced in backyard. If you have animals that have separate foods, I am perfectly willing to separate them in different locations in order for them to eat their own as I have to do this with my cats given 2 of them have urinary issues.

“Laura was fantastic! She was very response and sent daily updates, which put our minds at ease. She left our home clean. I would definitely use Laura again and recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

About: Hi! Thanks for looking at my profile. I’m Karah. I first began pet/house sitting when I was living in Ecuador in 2012. I am well practiced with dogs of all sizes, cats of many temperaments, and critters ranging from fishes to bearded dragons. I am currently working part time at a craft store. As such I can be with your critters for most of the day. Everyone will be well looked after and let out, walked, given specific care, et al. Quite frequently. I am not able to keep pets in my own home. I have my own two dogs and a cat who claims his own space.
“Alex did a great job taking care of our pups! He sent a bunch of update photos and the dogs warmed right up to him! Qlwe will def be contacting him again, thanks Alex!”

“Sara was great! I really was able to trust she showed up on time for Benny. I was on a flight and she took care of everything he needed to make sure he was comfortable.”

“Natalie was amazing! It was our first time having someone stay at our apartment and we were very nervous. Natalie was so professional and gave us constant updates/pictures. I can’t say enough good things! She was very comfortable with our pup and Clem warmed up to her quickly.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and grew up caring for them daily. I’ve raised a puppy and currently have a well-trained dog of my own. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m currently working part-time but am available most days during the week and can be flexible with scheduling as needed for pet care and walks. I prioritize safety and trust in every visit. I follow owner instructions closely, keep dogs on-leash during walks, avoid unsafe situations, and ensure pets are never left unattended. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Calverton Park
We are so happy and glad we hired Leah and Mara and Sydnie! Amazing job, SUPER communicative, and so on point with our pets! They took care of our bearded dragons and cats. I was really thankful they also communicated when wind storms broke part of our fence and made sure everything was still ok in our house. Would love to hire them again next time we need a sitter! 10/10 recommend!
Janay & Carlton did wonderfully at our place with our critters. We were gone for 10 days and our anxious goldendoodle, young poodle, and teenager cat were very well taken care of. The house was very well kept and everything just as we left it. We will absolutely be rebooking them next time we leave town. Thanks y’all!!

Heather was amazing, from our meet & greet to the end of her stay with Lily. She's a great communicator, and was great with lily who has some separation anxiety. She even taught lily a few new tricks! Took care of the house as if it were hers. I super appreciate Heather and would definitely recommend.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Calverton Park on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,712 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Calverton Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Calverton Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Calverton Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Calverton Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Calverton Park. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
