“Christine was absolutely wonderful. This was my first time having to board my pup and Christine took amazing care of him. She sent me updates and pictures and made sure that my pup was well taken care of and felt safe. Highly recommend Christine!”

“Sydney did a great job with our shy rescue dog. She sent us pics of his walks (and his chilling time) to let us know that she was okay. She was flexible with drop off and pick up times, and she is just a really nice young woman as well!”

“Caitlin was so incredible to our girls. We got lots of great pictures and updates! She was great for both my super senior and my rocket dog who never wants to quit playing. They were picked up and dropped off which was such a blessing when our flights were at crazy times. Sue gave us the sweetest parting gift as well. Love Caitlin!!!”

“Highly recommend Kajae and Emily to watch your dog. They took great care of our dog Pierce and even sent pictures and updates during his stay. Five stars!”

“Heather was so accommodating on such short notice. Her dog Aggie is such a sweetheart and they welcomed my Maggie and she immediately felt at home. She was checking things out so quickly when sometimes she can be really shy around other dogs and people, especially ones she's just met. Heather sent pictures of Maggie to me throughout the weekend so i could see how she was doing. I would definitely recommend Heather to anyone that loves to know their fur baby is in good hands when in need a dog sitter.”

“Sara was SO great!! She was so accommodating, especially considering our stay was somewhat last minute. We loved receiving the updates and messages on how Sunny was doing. We will be requesting Sara from this point on!”

“I can't say enough about Amanda! We felt so good leaving Jojo with Amana and Bailey for 5 days! What an enjoyable vacation we had knowing our fluffball was so well taken care of. THANK YOU, AMANDA!”

I love to learn their routines, quirks, and comforts so they feel completely at home. I come from a nursing background, so I am comfortable providing medications and treatments. I have a special love for elderly animals! I also have significant farm experience, so if watching over your farm is also something you need, please reach out! “Our senior dog was comfortable and content. We appreciated how Karlee was flexible with our pick up time when we weren’t sure when our weekend tournament would end. We would love to use her again!”

“Stacy was great with my dogs. She kept me updated throughout the weekend as to how they were doing. She sent me photos. She gave them massages and took them out for walks. Will be booking with her again.”

“We absolutely love sending Betsy to stay with Jessica! Jessica is very friendly, keeps us updated & sent a day photo during Betsy’s stay! We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Lucy had a good time with Amy, Gregory and their family. She got along with the family's other pets and they enjoyed her and sent lots of pictures and updates. I am very comfortable with their care for Lucy and have scheduled again with them.”

“Happy repeat stay! Roux was so excited to be back with Ashley’s family! She didn’t even want a goodbye hug she was so ready to play! I don’t want to say this publicly for fear of Ashley’s calendar filling up, but she’s our first choice when it comes to someone taking care of our pup.”

“Our finicky Chesapeake Bay Retriever thoroughly enjoyed her overnight stay. We look forward to having Tom take care of our pet when we next go out of town. He seems to enjoy and understand dogs.”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was in middle school. Since then, I've become a dog trainer and can provide care for a wide variety of dogs, including dogs with additional care needs. I'm an AKC evaluator and I spend my free time competing with my dogs in a variety of sports! I take special care and pride in the animals I care for. I have 3.5 acres for your pet to romp around throughout the day (while supervised of course). I work hybrid so I spend 50% of business days working from home. On the weekends, I don't have to go in-office. My entire life revolves around my dogs and adding your pet into our routine will be an easy transition! I have a 3.5 acre yard and 5 of my own dogs. I keep client dogs separate from my personal dogs and other client dogs unless discussed and agreed upon beforehand so you know your pup is safe. All of my dogs are friendly and play together easily.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cable home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cable.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cable sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
