About: Animals have always been such an important part of my life. Growing up surrounded by pets, I learned from a young age the responsibility and love that goes into caring for them—and that early experience shaped the passion I carry with me today. I have nearly three years of experience working in veterinary medicine as a receptionist, where I gained valuable knowledge about pet health, behavior, and the importance of attentive, compassionate care. In addition, one of my own dogs has a complex illness that requires close monitoring and daily medications, so I’m comfortable handling pets with special medical needs and following detailed care instructions. Whether it’s walks, playtime, administering medications, or just providing company and cuddles, I focus on making every pet feel secure and loved—just as they would with you. I am currently working full-time during the day, however, I am available for overnight care, evenings, and weekend. I am open to discussion with owner. It’s important that you and your pet feel comfortable, so scheduling a meet and greet is a lovely way for us to connect. During the meet and greet, I’ll get to know you and your furry friend, collecting all the necessary information to ensure a smooth service. Communication will be reliable, professional and meaningful. Your pets health and safety is top priority - I will ensure to follow all left instructions, closely monitor your pet (especially during playtime and walks) and will be proactive about spotting any potential health or behaviour concerns. It’s important to me that every pet feels safe, happy and cared for.

“Kyla watched our 130lb Cane Corse Blue for 2 nights in our house. She went above and beyond, contacting me and sending photos she took of Blue. Her knowledge in dog care came in handy when she noticed blood on the floor due to a bloody paw. She contacted me right away, identifying that he had a hot spot (which I had not heard of before) and let me know she had already taken care of cleaning his paw for us. About: I have experience with different animals from small dogs to larger breeds > 100lbs I don’t have any pets of my own but I have volunteered at animal shelters walking dogs and giving pets and cuddles to the cats I enjoy walking in the river valley, checking out new neighbourhoods, hiking, and taking advantage of any opportunity to be around animals I am currently working part-time/ casual so my schedule varies but I mostly work evenings and have mornings and weekends off. If there is a stretch of time that will be needed, I can accommodate if sufficient notice is given I would ensure the dog is given a long/short walk depending on needs, letting out to use the bathroom and routine feeding. The only times I’m not really available is when I go dancing on Thursday nights A complete fenced backyard that measures 1700 square feet.
